Pregnant and on 2ww pathway as I’ve found a lump

I posted recently having noticed a large lump in my neck, assumed my thyroid had just gone a bit wonky with pregnancy hormones so saw my GP yesterday who has put me on the 2ww for head and neck to rule out cancer. I’ve had some other symptoms (tiredness, croaky voice) but it’s so difficult to know what is just plain hayfever or a pregnancy symptom and what isn’t. I’ve lost a bit of weight but I had horrible morning sickness through my entire first trimester so could be down to that.

I’m trying to keep it together and think rationally that it’s probably nothing sinister and my GP is just being cautious but I can’t help panicking. Would just like a handhold please while I wait Flowers

He's beautiful & I'm glad your op has gone well.
I had half my thyroid removed 10 years ago & after the initial recovery I haven't noticed any difference, haven't needed any hormone treatment or anything.
Wishing you all the best for your recovery & enjoy your beautiful boy.

Thanks for the update. I've followed as I'm a Graves Disease patient so always on the lookout for thyroid issues still. In fact having my yearly TFT today.

Hope histology goes well for you.

What an absolute cutie of a baby ❤️. Good genes there 😁

Feeling like I’ve been beaten up this morning, but I’ve had a little FaceTime with my beautiful boy and can’t wait to see him for a snuggle. He slept for eight bloody hours last night, would you believe 😂 had to actually be woken up this morning to be fed and changed, or he might have still been fast asleep!

Being kept prisoner another night 😫 too much output from my drain so they want to monitor it. My beautiful boy has come to visit though! 😁❤️

Scratch that, they’ve changed their minds! My drain is out and I’m going home 😁😁😁

I've just read your thread, what a lot you've been through. Your little boy is just gorgeous, I hope you are on the mend.

hereismydog · 17/02/2025 01:14

Tomorrow is results day 🫣 hoping to hear absolutely nothing exciting and to never have to see my surgeon again, as lovely as he is! I do want him to have a look at my neck though and reassure me that it’s healing well because the scar is pretty fucking ugly 🤣 it’s hard and square, like he’s sewn a Lego brick under my skin.

My little love is 8 weeks old today, too! Where has the time gone?! He’s currently wide awake, peeking up at me and grinning when he is definitely meant to be asleep 🤭
