Pregnant and on 2ww pathway as I’ve found a lump

I posted recently having noticed a large lump in my neck, assumed my thyroid had just gone a bit wonky with pregnancy hormones so saw my GP yesterday who has put me on the 2ww for head and neck to rule out cancer. I’ve had some other symptoms (tiredness, croaky voice) but it’s so difficult to know what is just plain hayfever or a pregnancy symptom and what isn’t. I’ve lost a bit of weight but I had horrible morning sickness through my entire first trimester so could be down to that.

I’m trying to keep it together and think rationally that it’s probably nothing sinister and my GP is just being cautious but I can’t help panicking. Would just like a handhold please while I wait Flowers

We’ve had a lovely Christmas with our beautiful boy!

Sadly, someone really has it in for me because I’ve been readmitted with an infection in my c-section wound! 😅

This chubby little monkey is worth every second of shit though. He had his day 5 checkup today and he has GAINED 3.5oz since birth! At least my boobs are working, even though nothing else is. 🐄

I was in hospital over Christmas with my newborn (born 23/12 28 years ago!). A special time. I Hope you get the team you want but they’ll all be head over heels with him.

PinkPlatypus · 07/01/2025 19:01

How are you and your beautiful little boy doing? You’ve been through a hell of a lot in such a short space of time!

hereismydog · 08/01/2025 12:25

Hello again 🥰 we’re settling in well, thank you! Some issues with slow weight gain unfortunately so we’ve been referred to the breastfeeding support team to rule out tongue tie as he feeds almost constantly but always seems to be hungry 😕 he’s weeing and pooing plenty but he has slowed down on weight gain. Another hurdle! But he’s just beautiful ❤️

What a beautiful baby!

hereismydog · 29/01/2025 22:28

Hello everyone, time for an update!

Old matey in my neck was given its marching orders today, I’m very sore and very tired but very glad it’s out. Now just a waiting game for the histology report to see if this is the end of it or if I need anything else doing. Three hours in theatre in the end, but my lovely surgeon has still left me with half a thyroid, which hopefully continues to do its job! I’m in overnight tonight, feels weird being away from my beautiful boy while he’s still so tiny and new, but I’ve left him with his Daddy and a big supply of expressed milk, so he will be just fine overnight.

Thanks all for bearing with me and holding my hand through this Flowers baby tax paid, can you believe he’s FIVE WEEKS old already?!
