lostinwales · 15/09/2011 16:16

Have you tried metanium funtimes, remebering back into the mists of time this was the one thing that got us through ds2 being in nappies, he had the most corrosive poo ever. Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs here.

[chick crumb] was a random change made by your illustrious neighbour slubber when she was hatching the thread babies, we just humour her... [grain]

Someone once sent me an inbox message asking if I was cod, I was outraged! I belong with the pedants if anything

Very poetic

lostinwales · 15/09/2011 18:41

I'm going to nominate slubbers last 2 posts for some kind of poetry award, fantastic, Grin

MisSalLaneous · 15/09/2011 18:44

Love the word notrightintheheadness!

Oh Slubber, I cannot help to laugh at your posts! Uhm, with you, not at you . How long is your crossing? I've only ever done one long trip that involved a cabin (vs just Dover - Calais crossing), but it was SO long that I was soon bored out of my mind. Was to Spain though, so I think about 24 hours. Probably easier once you've got older children who can actually enjoy the different things on offer. I did buy a box of wine for £13. It tasted fine on the ship, honestly. Threw it out by the time we got home as it didn't even cook properly. I blame the recycled air.

So glad to hear De Waard porn was all you hoped for! Seriously good canvas, and yup, those zips pretty impressive.

Lost, whoo hoo (a bit overexcited on your behalf) on your new car! Now is probably a good time to admit I also thought you were shuffling around with a zimmer frame. Only looked back when Bramble mentioned it. Hmm, I should question more things in life, right?

Funtime, good luck for tonight. Oatmeal bath before metanium as suggested before bed? Will keep fingers crossed for good night.

Hi, Peachy. Enjoy carnival when you get there!

notwavingjustironing · 15/09/2011 18:44

Yes well you probably need a drink
you haven't had one for five minutes

Grin
Funtimewincies · 15/09/2011 19:22

ARRGHHHHHHHHH, his bottom has exploded AGAIN. He's not had citrus since Tuesday, I made sure that he didn't have butter at playgroup as this seems to cause a runny bum too. Dh is in forrin with work and ds1 is tired and stroppy now he's gone to Reception.

And there's no booze in the house and, even if there was, I'm trying to lose weight and am not supposed to have any.

Sad
notwavingjustironing · 15/09/2011 19:30

Ohhh Funtime, lovely, have a proper hug. That all sounds very miserable. I second what Losty said though that product was the only thing that worked on DS2 who was really poorly with it when he was born.

You do need something to get you through to tomorrow though probably not us

Let us know how you get on x

lostinwales · 15/09/2011 20:00

Funtime even a huge glass of wine is only 5 points on ww alcohol allowance weekly free points, have a drink, it will make eveyghing a bit better. If I lived closer (actually I've forgotten where you live but no one is near me!) I'd drive over with a tube of metainium and a bottle of wine. Poor little thing, it is so awful when you have a raw bum (trust me I know, I think I might even have posted about it last year Blush, but it does mean I can personally vouch for the cream)

Funtimewincies · 15/09/2011 20:22

No booze about, unless I swig at the noilly prat

You're all lovely Grin.

Hang on, there's a stout of dh's somewhere...

................................... found it Grin.

As I'm not a huge stout fan, is it worth the calories?

And is this making me sound like a complete lush Hmm?

YellowDinosaur · 15/09/2011 21:01

I'd do cooking brandy rather than stout [grain] funtime. Sad at your ds2s bottom. losty does sound like she knows what she is talking about! never tried metanium meself (or for boys Grin) but they never had really had nappy rash - I (and they) was lucky. Sudocrem worked for us.

Safe trip slubber! I will know you are home when I can understand your posts when not pissed! Yep, I am responsible for [grain] - typo while pissed

Loving notrightintheheadness too! [grain]

Where is lovecat? Didn't think she had a trip planned but she hasn't been about for AGES. Hoep we haven't scared you off!

I have come close to murdering my 2 today. Just been one of those days where the buttons are pressed again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again (you get the idea) and then you EXPLODE!!!!! Sheer stubborness of ds2 has to be seen to be believed and ds1 is an expert at kevin the teenager rudeness and moaning at the moment. Most of the time they are lovely and most of the time when they are not I can let it was over me but not today. I ened to channel more of the 'Laid back' and less of the 'taking of no shit' methinks...

scaryt · 15/09/2011 21:19

Oooh funtime your poor ds, there's nothing worse than raw bottoms. Metanium worked for ds (although I can't vouch for it personally!). You only need a THIN layer, it has quite a remarkable adhesive quality.

Slubber the de Waards sound truly wonderful. Now what is it about those zips that is so marvellous? Hope your ferry trip is easy going.

Got my new car today. It is loverly. But they're having to come and look at it as DH noticed a crack in the corner of the windscreen when I got home. Boo.

MisSalLaneous · 15/09/2011 22:25

Oh no, sorry about the crack, but Grin re your new car too. Hopefully it is something they can fix pretty immediately, so probably a good think dh spotted it.

Yellow, sounds rough there! Hope you got to bed time without any casualties.

brambleschooks · 16/09/2011 07:43

How was your night funtime? Hope it's worked it's way through.
Meh re dodgy crack but grain at new cars.

Going to let the little divvils out into their run. they're starting to venture into the garden now.

lostinwales · 16/09/2011 10:12

Oh no scaryt what an absolute pain, I hope they sort it out quickly. I have just 'popped out' in mine to get a newspaper, took an hour and now I look like this Grin. I'd forgotten how much fun driving can be.

Funtime how is DS this morning, I hope you both got some sleep, poor little man, when I had some trouble (ahem) last year I was astonished at how painful the skin got, couldn't believe how horrible it would be for a baby who didn't even understand. Have you got any savlon, it cools everything right down.

lovecat's probably got her big show on at the moment hasn't she? I hope it's going well, should hope so after she missed a whole summers camping for it!

Slubber should be back in the UK by now, hope she had a good crossing and is enjoying her stop in Driffield.

Yay for the bramble babies. They are making me broody in the truest sense. [grain]

Yellow the joy of two young boys, I remember it well
