sorry, my phone ground to a halt on the other thread this morning!

I hope you found me :)

It's getting proper autumnal here for slubber's return. Maybe she will need a dewaard to practice doing storm camping in her garden (once we've moved on the apple pickers).

I've got ds2 home from school, although I'm hoping to get him in again this afternoon. He'd knocked his canula plaster and had a panic over it and was pale and feeling sick when I went in. He's in bed but has requested a cooked dinner with peas and egg as well, so I hope this is a sign I can get him back into school this afternoon!

I am doing school work. Honest. It's going ok, I'm writing a document saying why we do things well and have finally got into the groove. I'm not anticipating enjoying the number crunching.

Hope all sore and cracked bits improving. my bits are aching after quite an intense pilates session before I was summoned for ds2

OMG there is bunting on my house!

Bunting!

rofl. Dh was "what the .......", my mother is also equally bemused.

Well we are home

And look! Capitals AND punctuation AND spell check.

Hurrah

ChippyMinton · 16/09/2011 13:50

Welcome home!

We all knew about the bunting...have you not been reading the thread Grin

brambleschooks · 16/09/2011 14:01

We have bunted. She has come. [grain]

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 14:07

Hiya Chippy. I knew my bin had been bunted, but not prayer flagged but this is my house man. And bramble is not the culprit.

Love the chick photos btw [grain]

lostinwales · 16/09/2011 14:13

Yay you're home [grain] Grin Grin Grin!

ChippyMinton · 16/09/2011 14:13

The house Shock

Photos please!

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 14:18

Well when I say the house, it's not the WHOLE house. There is a string of Union Flags on the front.

But still

bunting

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 14:21

I was thinking of you only yesterday Chippy in a playmobil capacity.

Whilst perusing the ginormous selection in the Dutch ToysRUs (a concession to the dds after the de Waard visit).

There was a v European St Nicholas in his pointy red mitre in some sort of caribbean fishing vessel. it made no sense to me whatsoever.

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 14:23

Just to be clear, I was reminded of you as it was next to the big playmobil house, not because you are in anyway like St Nicholas, or that you don't make any sense.

brambleschooks · 16/09/2011 14:52

or that she resembles a caribbean fishing vessel.

Good God woman, haven't you got pants to wash?

brambleschooks · 16/09/2011 14:56

Oh Bugger. I am trying so hard to work here, but have been distracted by New shoes (2 pairs), a random tasering incident down the road, slubber's joyous return (& no time to rebunt the bins due to having to get DS2 home and back to school) and also by Ron Jeremy the week-old stud-cockerel-to-be jumping up and down on Sheila the broody's back. Perhaps I should call him Oedipus.

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 19:00

Hiya losty

I see Notters has got her nowty handbag with her again tonight.

yy Bramble. Chippy is also not at all like a Carribean fishing vessel. That whole anecdote has gone to pot. Pant washing will commence tomorrow along with tent drying of the the now sopping wet and upside down tent that was only put outside to air whilst we popped out to get the dog.
Grr

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 19:01

any updates on the bare chested taser incident btw?

brambleschooks · 16/09/2011 19:02

Yes. Just because you have run out of bras gives you no reason to wander around a conservation area aring your area. All I can say is thank goodness you had found your emergency pants.

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 19:30

hahaha

Emergency pants and bra in situ and fully compliant with conservation area regulations.

Funtimewincies · 16/09/2011 19:34

I have Macmillian bunting for our upcoming coffee morning if you're interested Slubber (and something inflatable which I've not dared take out of it's packaging to investigate. I only hope that it's a giant coffee mug Confused).

Ds2's bottom is looking much better (he ended up with some heavy-duty cream as the skin had broken Sad) but he was still up 6 times last night. Dh is back, so it's his turn to sort the little darling out tonight and I'm sending him to the shop for wine soon Grin.

My word Bramble, it's never dull at your gaff Shock!

Funtimewincies · 16/09/2011 19:36

its, I mean, and from a teacher too Shock. Must be lack of chocolate which is causing such shocking lapses.

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 19:44

When is the coffee morning funtimes? I would quite like to get involved this year.

Good to hear your dh is back to lend a hand. Poor ds's bottom Sad

Funtimewincies · 16/09/2011 20:05

Slubber - it's on Tuesday 27th September at our local toddler group in Wrexham. It's not open to the general public as such (insurance and small children) but we're extending the invitation to other parents (friends of friends etc.) so pm me if you're interested and I can give you the time and place. We're a fairly relaxed bunch (with or without schnitzel) and it's certainly not one of those scary bitch-fest toddler groups Grin. Where abouts are you in the area?

Funtimewincies · 16/09/2011 20:13

Just realised that you might have meant generally Blush. The official date is Friday 30th September.

Slubberdegullion · 16/09/2011 20:34

Grin I did mean generally, but that is very kind of you to invite me Smile.

If I have one you are v welcome (near Chester), as is everyone else on here.

MisSalLaneous · 16/09/2011 20:42

How's your dodgy crack, funtime?

Yay to buntingised houses, flower-fresh pants and good bottoms. A good day all around, it seems. Always helps when it's a weekend.

Well, I spent all day in a classroom today - had about 8 coffees. Big big mistake of the place to have a free coffee vending machine. Loved the tutor though - a good one makes all the difference. Hell, I even stayed awake during 7 hours of Accounting Standards. Coffee did help, but still, it takes someone seriously good to keep me awake 5 minutes in an IAS conversation...

Ds had his first "tennis" lesson today. He's so adorable at times and an absolute terror at others. Mind you, he did wake me up with "tickles" (read slashes) at 6 this morning, so just as well he was all lovable today or it would not have ended well.

Ha, did anyone see the newspaper this morning of "Sad men drool over women and cars" (or something in that line anyway). I've always said that, not sure why a study was needed. Small-uhm-xx-syndrome. Either way, made me chuckle.

lostinwales · 16/09/2011 21:06

Happy women drool over tents and tour de france cyclists!

Ahh, we're all back together

So we've got Chester and Wrexham, we could have a thread camp at Bala with the midges and odd people. Was that the place with the karaoke Malaysians? I will bring some kind of karaoke machine breaker (axe anyone?).

I have my camping bunting going up my staircase at the moment Blush, I don't know what's happening to me.
