first bh in May then for camping meetup?

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 18:20

oh.

Spreadmaster sounds a bit rude

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 18:21

'Notwaving is a hard spreadmaster.'

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 18:22

I am. Grin

Funtimewincies · 18/09/2011 18:22

Back too, in case you thought that I'd wasted away through lack of alcohol. Nice to see that plans are moving on apace. Chester or London is fine by me (presuming that I could get away for more than a day) and I'm trying not get all freaked out and weird about meeting up with people from the internet Grin. It's so not me and dh is a bit Shock that I'm even contemplating hoofing off to London to meet complete strangers by myself.

Ds2's bottom in on the mend, but he's still refusing any food that's not, well, bread I suppose and waking 6-10 times a night. Dh has gone off to a conference in London so I'm back on night duty Confused.

Downton vs Spooks Hmm. I'll see how awake I am before deciding which to record and which to watch.

Slubber - pics (and kids) look fabulous (and you too, obviously Grin)!

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 18:28

Anyway you lot. Fess up. Which one of you is Eleanor Mills in The Sunday Times?

I quote, from today's column trumpeting the simple things in life that children love like Nintendo camping

"ten days I spent camping this summer. Squished on top of each other in the tent.....the kids have never looked so happy....pitch a tent somewhere beautiful and enjoy the great outdoors"

That's us, that is.

Grin
YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 18:34

funtime glad ds's bottom is improving but Shock at waking 6 times a night! I would be on my knees... Sending you wine although you would probably prefer me to send you off to a hotel for the night without him! Fingers crossed that tonight is better...

notwaving not guilty! Grin. Did thw words '[grain]', 'death socks', 'iceytek' or 'gin in a tin' appear in the article? If so not one of us! Grin

scaryt · 18/09/2011 18:37

I disappeared to do some actual planning. Only to return to find I've been told off!! Of course you are beautiful Slubber, impossible to create such gorgeous creatures without being lovely yourself. You should see what I look like unscrubbed, grim.

Am a bit nervous about meeting up as I'm far more reserved in real life and am sure you will all find me a boring old fart!

And off to try this pm malarky out again, turns out I was being monstrously thick.

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 18:42

Funtimes I was very scared before my first meet up. Down to London on the Megabus I went and there was Chippy waiting for me at Victoria bus station. It was just fine and lovely as was Chippy, and her bed and her toast.

Glad to hear ds's bottom is on the mend. What a nasty reaction. Is a bit bobbins that you are home alone again. poor you.

notwaving Grin

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 18:43

OK you can stop now with the fake compliments now Grin

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 18:52

Yes, first may bank holiday (that's not whit, is it?!) is pencilled in for a camp definitely. We will happily drive up to Bala/thistledown nr Stroud/Timbuktu for a long weekend en masse , it's not so bad if you share the drive...

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 18:52

Scary, she never noticed - she was too busy welding delta pegs into an MBE for services to camping Grin

Funtimewincies · 18/09/2011 18:54

Who are we pm'ing, I've lost track Confused?

By the way, did we come up with a date?

YellowDinosaur · 18/09/2011 18:54

Well I've added you as mumsnet mates too and posted a pic of me and my boys - I do appear to be grimacing a bit (smile usually a bit more, well, smile like Grin) but at least it should help you recognise me when we finally meet up!

I have met up with some others on here before from my antenatal / postnatal thread. One who lives pretty near to me. Was nervous too but it was well worth it! Also met dh online dating so pretty similar I guess without the sex Grin

Funtimewincies · 18/09/2011 18:55

Grin notwaving.

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 18:57

Funtime it's me!

Two hours to Downton - yay

Funtimewincies · 18/09/2011 19:05

Anyone know why I can't click on Yellow's name? Am I not (oh I can't bear to think of it) in the quiche Sad?

SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 19:08

Country file-camping and stay cation on now :)

OP posts:
SeaShellsInTheMoonlight · 18/09/2011 19:09

me neither! Shouldn't worry :)

OP posts:
Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 19:13

Me neither.

Yellow is in a quiche unto herself.

I did too notice scary. Too late now.

MisSalLaneous · 18/09/2011 19:19

Slubber, your daughters are beautiful! You're not too shabby yourself. Wink Can't believe you're still so skinny after two weeks living off cake and beer. Just as well you're nice, or you'd have to be moved to my PID (People I Dislike) tab.

We were supposed to pm?? I really should take more notice. Notwaving, pm to follow in a minute.

Scary, being boring is fine, you can join me in my corner. I'll have wine.

Painters finished kitchen today, and I am so impressed. Yes, their painting work is excellent, yes, they vacuum, dust and even wipe every part of the room after they've completed the job, BUT, here's the clincher: They washed the dishes I left out from breakfast. Only really 3 cups and two porridge bowls, but THEY WASHED THE DISHES. Seriously, these people should market themselves better. Buy-one-get-one-free painter-cleaner combo. Grin

notwavingjustironing · 18/09/2011 19:22

I'm watching Countryfile too. With wine and home made chillli. Bliss.

MisSalLaneous · 18/09/2011 19:24

Oh I hate when I do this. Type something, goes off to do random other thing, press post and then I either seem rude by ignoring everything else said since, or just, well, talking to myself. Latter is better I guess, but apologies nonetheless.

I can see Yellow's photo, so it must just be you lot she doesn't like.

Slubberdegullion · 18/09/2011 19:33

Oh my word Sal. You have found the holy grail of painters. How deeply amazing. Am so not skinny. It's just the de Waard behind is a beast of a thing.

CountryFile here too. With um. Dry frosties and a cup of tea.
[did have huge lunch plus pudding at pils today]
