Hello missus and everyone else
Glad you're having a good time. I've just got back from a week on Anglesey. Putting the tent up I got wetter than the proverbial haddock's bathing costume and there was a similar drench factor striking camp. But I remembered your wise words about camps where everything going well were unmemorable. I really do feel I've broken my fear factor, everything came home soaking wet, but it was only water - so everything is dry and pristine and packed away again now. I was wrestling the wet tent like a good 'un, hung it out on my balcony to dry, and climbed inside with my heater to dry out the bedrooms.
Its a breeze, this camping lark!
Was really toying with the idea of taking the boys back to the forest on Thursday, but the weather forecast isn't nice enough to make it a done deal.
Yellow, glad to see you have bought your new tent - you'll need loads more guff now for it won't you?
Sal, told DH I might be going on a meetup with you lot and he looked at me like I was mad - "so are they real people then?" he asked..... Also impressed with the axe and stove shenanigans.
Bramble, I was at Rhosneigr on Thursday - I was very envious of the boating and kite surfing folks, but I spent a fortune in Fat Face instead so I look the part, but I still can't sail [grain]
Waves to Seashell, Scary and Losty - love the way you keep nipping off for a quick fix of the great outdoors - I felt like a completely different person last week by the sea, I feel very claustrophobic being back in the city and having to wear sensible shoes and clothes. Am very jealous and feel the need to move to the coast pronto. Me and my friend were seriously discussing buying somewhere, as she felt the same.
NB - another geography div who thought Bodensee was a play on words.
Right then, first day back, must get on. See you all later....
