Anyone else?!

I think they are essential if you are going anywhere near the front of the stage/ speakers. If you are confident that you'll always be sat at the back then you wont need them.

MrsTicklemouse · 26/07/2010 23:30

Thank you Dreamteamgirl no I hadn't noticed!!

We are taking eardefenders so the boys can sleep and we can party!! and they do look ridiculously cute in them... obviously their ear safety was of biggest concern

DomesticG0ddess · 27/07/2010 08:03

MrsTicklemouse, no am not on the forum, though I did have a look the other night. I noticed there is an UNdomesticgoddess on there. Did you read the thread with the poor pg woman who wanted to know if she could take something to pee in, and some other forum members started picking on her and saying they wouldn't go pg! Waiting for some ear defenders to arrive today - same price on Amazon.

I'm going, I'm going!!!!! v v excited

Om on the forum as well - started a thread about which carpark to head for

We've just had one of a party pull out so there are 2x adult and 2x child tickets going spare if anyone knows someone interested?

DomesticG0ddess · 27/07/2010 08:08

Ah, I see what you mean omni... will report back.

Oooh, how exciting. BUT, we don't really do fancy dress - and weirdly, although have always tried to encourage him, DS is the same. But I figured this is his age, and in a couple of years, he'll want to. So I haven't planned any outfits . Will everyone be dressed up? (scurries off to look up fairy outfits on Blooming Marvellous)

Let there be light and music. The generators have turned up.

DomesticG0ddess · 27/07/2010 08:39

Do you live next door?

OP posts:
thatsnotmymonkey · 27/07/2010 08:47

I am considering buying those fake glasses/noses/eyebrow sets and wearing a big flouncy dress and going as an "ugly sister" from cinderella, I will try and get my DH to do the same. he is not bothered though

DomesticG0ddess · 27/07/2010 11:13

ha ha, that's a good one!

Does anyone know what the weather forecast is???

OP posts:
sfxmum · 27/07/2010 13:17

weather not very inspiring
so it better be a good party

getting more excited, we will head over on Thursday and spend the night in a hotel so that we can have an early start on Friday

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/07/2010 18:40

A mile away.

The weather forecast I have is good.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/07/2010 18:43

We got married in the castle and both DC's baptised in the chapel next door, my sister lives the entrance to the camping,

sfxmum · 27/07/2010 19:08

ok if you say so I will believe the better forecast

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/07/2010 19:49

You see it as not inspiring, I see it as it is not going to rain and it is warm, same forecast , truthfully we have our own microclimate down here so anything could happen such as the sea mist rolling in etc.

thatsnotmymonkey · 27/07/2010 19:50

I am COUNTING on the weather to be good, not blazing hot but still nice enough to wear shorts most of the time. I am only taking one pair of jeans...is that wise?

DomesticG0ddess · 27/07/2010 19:52

It's true, I live on the coast, not so far away in Hampshire, and the clouds form behind us. Of course, being 6 months pg I am hoping for fine weather, but with plenty of fluffy white clouds so I don't get too hot!! Also better for DS too. As long as there's no rain!

Five, do you get discounted tickets??

OP posts:
thatsnotmymonkey · 27/07/2010 20:03

anyone going to rent a cabana??

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/07/2010 20:04

Yes, it works like Glasto, if you are in the village then you get 2 tickets.

MarionCole · 27/07/2010 20:13

I'm not bothered about sun, I would just prefer it not to rain. Wet clothes all weekend is not fun.

Are you lot taking a lot of food with you? I'm struggling for ideas of what to take/cook with no fridge/glass/knives. Looks like corned beef sandwiches all weekend! Last year we ate out all weekend and spent a small fortune.

sfxmum · 27/07/2010 20:17

it is more the rain I find a downer, a little is fine but al festival for the last 2 years have been very wet indeed
how is the soil like? does it get very muddy?

regarding food we usually just cook with a trangia, eggs beans bacon. take couscous&pasta
buy things to go with, give up and eat at outlets
usually I bake banana cake and breakfast muffins, they keep and are filling for a pick me up

thatsnotmymonkey · 27/07/2010 20:27

oooh muffins. right. am going to make some banana bread thingys tomorrow.

piss bum. I am taking too much stuff I know it.

taczilla · 27/07/2010 21:23

FiveGoMadInDorset you are like Sky News with the up to the minute reporting!

Count me in I will be easy to spot two adults two children .

topiarygal · 27/07/2010 22:57

Ear defenders ordered; pancakes in the freezer ready for a quick re-fry heat up; box of dire red wine; great cheese; going to get my asda 2 for £3 fleecie blankets for the kids in the morning; oodles of epi-pens for DS; weather forecast looks good - I AM READY!!!!
What time do you go for?
Fivegomad - you are wonderful for up-dates!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 27/07/2010 23:03

Will try to have a look in tomorrow to see how it is all going.

hmc · 28/07/2010 00:27

I'm dreading it actually. Persuaded it might be a good idea by a friend. Think my best bet is to be blotto all weekend...(except I have to supervise the children). All those people crammed together - OMG. At least my expectations are so low they can't possibly be dashed.
