No but of you. Really wanted to go but the hubby is working and too many friends are pregnant or have tiny babies at the mo. I am trying to get a group together to go next year.

I am camping though up at Henley on Thames. Fingers crossed for sunshine!

Have a great time. Go see Tim Minchin for me - I love him!

DomesticG0ddess · 26/07/2010 15:38

Oh sorry about that! I am going whilst pg though - could you not convince one of the pg ones?? Haven't even had a chance yet to look at who is actually performing (apart from Mr Tumble of course), so will check out Tim Minchin!

Have fun camping, my friend is camping at Henley after Bestival, she goes every year with a massive group - know a Vicki????

George Clinton and Funkadelic are there arent they? They were fab at Glasto - get yourself down the front...

sfxmum · 26/07/2010 15:45

going was hoping for better weather than forecast

at present not massively excited about the music on offer, although anywhere with Mr Tumble and The Fall sharing a bill is probably worth a look

am sure I will find something surprisingly good

DomesticG0ddess · 26/07/2010 16:50

Oh yes, Funkadelic, I think that was what swung it for me when we decided to go... I remember now! I won't be down the front though, my bump and I will be gently swaying at the back!

What about Howard Marks reading bedtime stories in the Boden tent? Now there's a sentence I never thought I would write!!!

omnishambles · 26/07/2010 17:01

Yes at glasto it was very smokey down the front - am wondering how that will fit in with the kid friendly vibe actually - you'll have to report back...

DomesticG0ddess · 26/07/2010 21:29

I don't think Camp Bestival is like glasto - I am sure lots of people will be having a good time, but the majority are families, lots of whom will have little ones to get to bed and get up with, and if I didn't have a family I think I'd probably go to a different festival. I've never been to a festival pg before - not my idea of the BEST time, but better than not going at all!

omnishambles · 26/07/2010 21:44

No I didnt mean Camp Bestival - I meant the Funkadelic gig - a lot of their songs involve dope and smoking and the vibe is likewise - just wondered whether the set and the feeling would be the same iyswim.

Very excited - ear defenders for the kids? Am such a festival with children virgin - so - really, ear defenders for the kids - not thought of it before - what d'ya rek? Critical?

DreamTeamGirl · 26/07/2010 22:59

Probably not critical topiarygirl unless you have one hypersensitive to noise
Bought them last year for firework night and he had SUCH fun, for the first time EVER. he was nt worrying and burrying himself in me, he just beamed and clapped and had fun! so for us essential but for normal kids.. probably not

If you think you want heres the link BTW ear defenders
