As suggested in AIBU I've started a thread here. Anyone who wants to join for support that would be great! Going to weigh myself tomorrow morning. I've planned my food for tomorrow. Aiming for 1600 calories a day, 10000 steps as a minimum. 3 gym workouts a week.

Can I join too? I have exactly 3 stone to lose to hit my goal weight. Nothing fits me or looks nice any more and I am hot, sweaty and miserable in this heat. The final straw is realising that I can’t wear skirts and dresses as my thighs rub together ☹️

You need some m and s cooling anti rub shorts.

Rainbows321 · 09/08/2022 19:56

Can I join you please? Lost 10kg over 18 months but really need to get myself into gear and lose the rest asap before I start gaining again.

Sounds like a good plan! Thank you.

I really crave junk food but feel so much worse when I eat it!

Can I join too please?

Currently 12 stone 8.5lbs. But I’m only 5ft 1 so BMI 33 and feeling very unfit. I just can’t get motivated and sit around eating junk.

I’m promising myself that I’ll start calorie counting tomorrow and take that first step towards my 3 stone loss (more like 4 stone to lose but 3 would be great)

Dreamstosell · 09/08/2022 21:20

No actually I’ll start right now and have a glass of water instead of the hot chocolate I was about to make 🤣

ArtOfTheImpossible · 09/08/2022 21:26

I think the junk food gives a dopamine hit, I need to try to replace it with something. Thinking maybe water with ice cubes so if I go to the kitchen I get that instead.

PerpetuallyIndecisive · 09/08/2022 21:35

I’ll join! I’ve had two abandoned tries at Slimming World over the last year (loosing a bit and then getting blasé and falling off). I’m now the heaviest I’ve ever been.

I’ll be buggered if I’m going to pay for SW for a third time so I’m going to take the principals and go it alone. My plan is to not count calories for anything in their “free” food list and then have an allocated amount of calories to have over and above this for anything else. Let’s see how it goes!

Bringonsummer19 · 09/08/2022 22:35

I’ll join, I have a stone and a half but have just fallen into the worst habits. I’m going for 1500 but also going to try and eat between 11am and 7pm. This links to when I am at my worst, eg snacking on the kids breakfast and snacking of an evening.

I've tried sugar free flavoured water so it still gives a sweet taste in your mouth and a different flavour but cal free

mustbetheseasonofthebitch · 10/08/2022 02:20

So I boil a whole pack of eggs and put them in the fridge (last a week if unpeeled) and have an egg if I’m hungry.

That is a really good idea.

HowlsMovingCastleIsHere · 10/08/2022 07:41

Hi, can I join you all? I have 5st to lose and I just feel that things are spirraling and I have to take control of my eating and weight before things get any worse!
I have done TRE before and found that helpful, so going to do that, up my water intake and I'll stick to veg based meals at home.

Pollyforever · 10/08/2022 07:58

Hope everyone sticks to their plans today. Let's check in tonight with how we did

I just saw a woman go past me wearing amazing shorts (I have complete envy). Would love to even debate wearing those, should prevent me from ordering a buttered croissant this morning

Fuzzyduckduckyfuzz · 10/08/2022 12:01

I'm in too 💪🏻

Ilovemycat1 · 10/08/2022 14:04

What did everyone have for lunch?

I had four eggs and salmon ❤️

Trug · 10/08/2022 15:17

I had omelette with Quorn ham, tomatoes, herbs and a little sprinkle of cheese. Have walked 7500 steps so far but melting in the heat so gonna go back out later.

Pollyforever · 10/08/2022 15:55

I had a packed lunch on our day out today. Had a tortilla sandwich with 2 apples. Delicious and only 450 calories

@Bringonsummer19 I always get shorts envy!!

How's everyone done today?
We ate out and visited a chocolatier on our holiday! I've tracked as best as I can I think approx 2000 calories. I also did 9000 steps today, better than yesterday. I'm not expecting to be anywhere near perfect while I'm away. If I can manage not to put on weight while I'm away I'll be happy!

Good first day here. Yogurt, fruit and some oats for breakfast. Pasta and veg for lunch. Currently munching on some popcorn.

I’ve decided to try and keep going for 100 days straight sticking to the diet. I did a 100 day challenge a couple of years ago with drawing and after the first couple of weeks my bloody mindedness kept me going. I didn’t want to drop a day! I’m hoping that psychology might keep me going with this!

Bringonsummer19 · 10/08/2022 20:41

Well done all, I stuck to my plan of only eating between 11 and 7. I did well on calories, albeit I learnt the listen on not checking food first as are want I thought was a heathy snack which when I scanned it was over 300.

chubbachub · 10/08/2022 20:42

Ok yes you got me. I'll join.
I'll catch up with the thread later once the kids are in bed.
And I'll start tomorrow as tonight's dinner is already in the oven.

Pollyforever · 10/08/2022 20:54

I wish there was a like button for posts!
Well done @PerpetuallyIndecisive and @Bringonsummer19 sounds like you both had good days. What days are you going to weigh in? I love the 100 days idea!
