here's the logo

you tube clip here

sma site

way to get round the new advertising rules, which forbid them from saying "close to breastmilk" &c
anyone like to complain? I would like them, very much, to have to change their logo and slogan again. especially as they have clearly spent quite a bit of wonga on it.

DaisyMOO · 17/04/2007 21:01

LOL at the idea of some Cow&Gate person frantically trawling through all the parenting sites.

whomovedmychocolate · 17/04/2007 22:00

\ link{http://www.smanutrition.co.uk/|I found it. Unfortunately.}

moondog · 17/04/2007 22:02

Here?

yellowrose · 17/04/2007 22:02

cow & gate = boob & bra

the gate keeps the cow in and the bra keeps the boob in !

just a thought

moondog · 17/04/2007 22:04

lol

When I was talking to the C& G woman, I said 'And you said your nmae was XXX Gate did you'
Unintentionally mind.
You can see how advertising works eh?

whomovedmychocolate · 17/04/2007 22:05

Oooh shall we post 'do not follow' robot txt files so that mumsnet doesn't get this thread indexed and all hide???

yellowrose · 17/04/2007 22:06

where the founders called Mr Cow and Mr Gate, or is the name made up ? lol !

whomovedmychocolate · 17/04/2007 22:06

IS IT JUST ME????

Click on their site, click products, click infant formula, it says blah blah information request blah, click continue and you get a 404. I've refreshed and recached and everything.

whomovedmychocolate · 17/04/2007 22:07

Sorry that was unclear - it's only the INFORMATION about their sterling products that has gone walkies, not the whole site (they might notice that)

moondog · 17/04/2007 22:09

Ah yes,it has indeed been moved.Anyone see it first time around??

yellowrose · 17/04/2007 22:11

sma, infant formula page says:

"LCPs, beta-carotene, selenium and nucleotides:
What ARE these things? And what do they do?
First and foremost, all four of these key building blocks of infant nutrition are found naturally in breast-milk".

do i need to read the rest ? lol !

moondog · 17/04/2007 22:11

Is this it?

Picked up from earlier in thread.

There is some sort of disclaimer before you get to it.

whomovedmychocolate · 17/04/2007 22:12

Yellowrose - I'm sure you just described my facepack ingredients!

whomovedmychocolate · 17/04/2007 22:13

Don't know Moondog - it wasn't there when I looked and I haven't been there before.

We don't do the cow thing (apart from my MiL)

yellowrose · 17/04/2007 22:15

whomoved - is you face pack made of breast milk then ? - i bet it is damned good for your skin, i know it gets rid of eye infections, i have used it in my eyes !

whomovedmychocolate · 17/04/2007 22:17

Yellowrose - quite possibly it is as DIGESTIBLE as formula!

Breastmilk does indeed clear up eyes - mine and DDs. Did you know it's also v good for clearly out waxy ears when she doesn't concentrate and it goes everywhere?

Perhaps we should start a 'more useful things to do with a titty toddy' thread?

yellowrose · 17/04/2007 22:21

yes the 1001 things to do with...etc...

hunkermunker · 17/04/2007 22:40

What is "baby-grade fruit" - does anyone know? C&G have them in their jars - I was interested to see what was in their newly packaged stuff. Yoghurt in one thing for 4m+ and skimmed milk in another one for 4m+.

moondog · 17/04/2007 22:43

God knows

hunkermunker · 17/04/2007 22:55

It's all about the wording, isn't it?

Interesting what you said about people not knowing what formula was, Tiktok - I was giving DS1 some cheese when he was about 7mo and someone said "Is that special baby cheese?" - er, no... And what on earth would make it special baby cheese?!

danae · 17/04/2007 22:59

whomovedmychocolate · 18/04/2007 07:13

Isn't baby cheese the stuff you have to wash off a baby boys willy?

yellowrose · 18/04/2007 09:08

whomoved - that is gross - here i log at 9 am and all i find on bf threads are talk of willies and penises
