Here we go at 7001 messages!

Mrsn they are proper old school, they are like a very hard biscuit on a ribbon & you let them bite on it for 20 mins at a time, it tastes nice but doesn't really dissolve! I got mine off amazon as couldn't find them in ships but bigger boots usually sell them! X

MissingMyMarbles · 12/03/2013 07:39

Been up since 6.40. Unusually early for us, but so snuffly she can't feed and breathe at the same time Sad have kept her upright and she's played with DD1 and is feeding a bit better now. Looking like hung back to sleep. Pity as it really is up time and we need to crack on.

Brain and Mama, I've heard that about the egg white too, and if you beat some air in it, it's even better (Grin at though of putting meringue in babies' bottomsGrin).

My house needs a good mucking out too, Larle. It isn't going to get one if those anytime soon either. It's all u can do to keep it semi-respectable!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 12/03/2013 08:02

Sorry for horrible nights - Babygoat continues his run of good nights. Other than thinking that 4:45 was up time. Hmm however he eventually went back to sleep and woke at 6:30, so got another hour. And when I go back to work, will have to be up at 6 anyway to get us both out of the house in time.

Tidying the house? We are still semi living out of boxes from moving in here in July last year!

Thank god for DH, baby larle woke up again at 7am and wasn't hungry so DH took him downstairs so I had an extra hour in bed. Think DS is coming down with a cold which could explain last night, he is now asleep on my lap and I need to get dressed but daren't move!

Have you seen the news? Thought I had had a bad night, I may have been awake but at least I was tucked up in bed and not stranded in my car for 12 hours!!

MrsNPattz · 12/03/2013 08:53

Cool thanks Amey!

Smallgreenone · 12/03/2013 09:24

Oh poor baby brain, hope his bum gets better soon! Baby small was never oozing blood.
amey it took about 3 nights with baby small but I totally went cold turkey on him and did not co sleep. Those three nights were hard work but now he is in his cot all night so was worth it for us. We did a sort of cc with him, it wasn't too bad because we knew he could self settle because he does at bedtime. So he was fed as normal and then popped in cot with one of us checking on him every 5 mins until he was asleep- it only took 20mins max but I still felt guilty.
So cold here today but at least the sun is shining. We are off swimming later if baby small cheers up, I've calpol'd him this morning as he's been grumpy which is not like him, must be teeth- my answer to everything!!

StitchAteMySleep · 12/03/2013 09:40

Hello everyone hope all are well. Will pop back on later to catch up fully, Stitch is sleeping on my arm and I can't do long typing.

Brain my SIL is a paediatric nurse, they use Metatanium for nappy rash and if that doesn't work Orabase (Used for open sores like leg ulcers to give the skin a chance to heal).

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 12/03/2013 10:03

I second Metanium advice, whenever dd1 got a rash that stuff cleared it up really quickly.

Also second Bickie pegs, really good for keeping them occupied and happy, but they do get really gross and slimy even though they don't actually break up. They give you a packet of ten but only a couple of strings to hold them with, not sure who on earth thought that was a good idea.

We were up at half 6 today, she's gone back down for a nap now so I've done a quick tidy shoved all the mess behind the sofa before my nct friends come over for coffee. My house is a tip, doesn't help that there's a lot of us living here and it's quite an old house so laid out quite inconveniently, I'm planning to start both DDs with my childminder a week earlier than I actually go back to work so I can do a proper blitz.

Hope baby brain has a happy bottom soon. I heard something about the egg white creates a second skin or film over the top...not tried it but my DM told me once.

MrsNPattz · 12/03/2013 11:37

I lost 2lb and got my stone yippee Smile I told my leader that I want to apply so her manager is going to phone me Blush nervous now lol

larlemucker · 12/03/2013 11:51

Well done MrsN that's fantastic! I've got at least 3 stone to lose (not all baby weight) how long do you think that will take?

funchum8am · 12/03/2013 17:24

Hi everyone, I have been missing you! I am no longer expressing at lunch as my supply has died down a bit. I could get it up again but it is just a bit too much for me to fit into my day so I am down to two bfs, morning and evening, and more at weekends. Bit of a shame after all my dreams of exclusively bfing til six months but I now realise that was just a pipe dream with going back to work. Respect to anyone who manages to stash up and express at work enough for that!

DH went out with babyfunch to Ikea and got her high chair today...she is growing up fast! We will get her used to sitting in it over the next couple of weeks and then start weaning in the Easter holidays when we are both here to enjoy it clear up the carnage

Mrsn that is AMAZING weight loss, well done! Good luck larle with your ww. I need to start, I have signed up online then done nothing beyond that!

Marbles I am so heartened by your improved sleep. Babyfunch is still at the stage where she sometimes rolls onto her front but can't get off so starts screaming, but she will soon be able to get comfy herself. I hope she improves then.

Welcome Jayne and mama!

Jayne we have great sleep from 7pm til 2:30 bottle, then she thinks it is up time, so not so different from you Confused. Much sympathy.

Goat very Envy of your good sleep but I cannot think of anyone who deserves it more! Good work Kid!

mama04 · 12/03/2013 18:23

I'm doing online ww to! There is a brilliant thread on Mn, just a bunch of us tummy mummies trying to get yummy mummy Grin don't know how to post the link on my bloody iphone Confused it's called 2013 weight watchers thread #2
I lost 6lb this week with lots of support and encouragement from the girls on this thread!Smile
I'm heading to bed at 7 tonight to try and catch up with some much needed sleep but both babies have slept most of the afternoon Confused here goes again! X

MrsNPattz · 12/03/2013 18:54

Thanks guys! Larle it has taken me 2 months to lose a stone, so if you stuck to it I reckon you could shift that in 6 months! Made a lovely chicken and gnocchi stew for tea!

Mama that's brilliant well done!

Water babies was good today, it was photo week so hubby could come and take pictures at the side of the pool Smile little man was a bit better this week too, still cried getting changed but wasn't so grumpy in the pool.

Funch you have done a fantastic job - be proud!

Babybeesmama · 12/03/2013 19:16

Well done mrsn! That's fantastic! How much more are you wanting to lose? I'm back on it as of yesterday apart from had a Mexican chicken baguette today - not sure how many pro points! Making butternut squash risotto tonight Grin! I'm not sure if I'm going to find it easier to use my 49 weeklies spread out so I have more points each day as I find sticking to 28 tough.

Baby bee stayed with MIL for a couple of hours today whilst I went shopping, when I got back he had been crying for an hour :( wish she had text or rung as I could've come back was only 10 mins away! Confused Hope he's going to be ok when he goes to nursery! X

BrainGoneAwol · 12/03/2013 19:25

Thanks for the tip stitch and heff. I can't tell if his bottom is bothering him as he bounces up and down while sitting normally and is grizzly from his teeth, but it looks really painful. He's only had the tiniest bit of rash before which sudocrem fixed in an afternoon. This time it's done nothing at all, so I think some more drastic action is needed.

mrsn that's amazing! Well done... You're actually making me consider doing something and I've never tried proper ww or anything.

funch hope work is going ok. Bf morning and evening is still pretty darn good!

Going to try trf after a very long bedtime settle. Trying to save the calpol for when I know it'll be needed in the middle of the night!

larlemucker · 12/03/2013 20:57

Well first WW meeting went well, I weight a pound less than I thought nothing to do with the mammoth feed before going

So you think I can lose half a stone a month MrsN? That's good, just booked baby larles christening for mid June so should be at least a stone lighter by then!

Sorry to hear baby brains bum is still bad, it may look nasty but at least it's not bothering him too much.

funch when you were expressing where were you storing the milk? I go back for a week in July and was planning on stopping before then but I'm really enjoying it so thinking of expressing that week and stopping just before I go back in sep.

Those of you breast feeding and doing WW, do you use the extra 14 points a day? It seems like a hell of a lot!! Mama might have to join that thread, going with a friend but any support would help!!

Right as its pig out night tonight I'm going to go and eat my homemade apple crumble and custard!!!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 12/03/2013 21:00

Wow mrsn I so take my hat off to you!

Thank you for your kind words, funch . Grin And you have done such a great job on the bf, real dedication.

brain hope babybrain's bottom is improving. I too can attest to the wonders of Metanium - Kid was prescribed it in NNU and it was great.

Right. We were out late tonight, so we shall see what impact this has on Kid's new resolution!

MrsNPattz · 12/03/2013 21:16

Thanks Goat and Amey, I set my target today - it's my 10% and it's only 2lb away Smile aw Brain I'm glad I have inspired someone Grin Larle yes I'd say so, you may get a big loss your first week too! I eat all my BF points and my 49 weekly points and I'm still hungry!! Dreading it when little man starts dropping feeds and I have to drop points lol I have just ordered some 'zero noodles' after reading about them on the WW forums - 0 point noodles apparently!

larlemucker · 12/03/2013 23:09

Please god can we have a better night than last night I want to go shopping tomorrow and spend my vouchers

larlemucker · 13/03/2013 02:53

Wow quiet on here! We're up for 2nd feed. Not sure if I woke him as I woke up and wanted to check he was ok! Whoops!!

MrsNPattz · 13/03/2013 03:06

Wow so quiet! First feed here.

BrainGoneAwol · 13/03/2013 04:06

Sadly not quiet I n the babybrain household, just a slightly comatose mummy. 4th wake so far since 6.30pm original bedtime. Sad Teeth again. Poor little boy. His little ears are getting a right battering from all the pulling he's doing.

Hope better nights for others

Susieloo · 13/03/2013 04:15

2nd feed-not sure 8 month old babies are meant to wake for this much milk in the night, particularly frustrating because I know he can sleep through.

larlemucker · 13/03/2013 04:41

Up again an hour after transfer, so knackered Hmm

Susieloo · 13/03/2013 06:12

Me too larle, we are up for the day-gutted.
