Poor baby brain :( teething is tough, you'd think nature would've evolved to find an easier way by now! I did find teething powders helped a little brain - as well as calpol nurofen anbesol etc etc!

We had a better night- missed the 1am wake up & went till 3 Grin only drank 4oz then co slept from 5. Hoping progress continues!

Its hard susie - especially when you know he can sleep through. Does he drink the entire bottle when he wakes? Xx

Babybeesmama · 13/03/2013 07:46

Mrsn - I need no point noodles!!! Where are they from? Xx

MrsNPattz · 13/03/2013 07:55

Up time here, one wake up so that's not bad at all!

Poor baby Brain, hope it calms down for him soon.

Hope you got some more sleep Susie and Larle!

Amey I ordered them from Holland and Barratt! They have a buy one get one half price offer on.

Smallgreenone · 13/03/2013 08:33

Sorry for all the bad nights. Ours was ok. The usual 2am feed then up at 6.30.
Glad you had a better night amey
Well done on ww mrsn, that's great! I could never do ww as am far too greedy! Miraculously I have lost my 3 stone of baby weight without doing a great deal but I do need to tone up my tummy- not sure how long I can go on using the 'I had a section so can't really excersise properly yet excuse!'

Susieloo · 13/03/2013 09:01

small I'm still using that excuse 8 months down the line!!

amey he's started having a whole bottle, 8oz, at about ten which is too much really, he then has about 4oz at half four which is all on top of three meals a day and four bottles during the day-I can only assume its be ause he's a 99th centile baby!!

Have a good day all

GoatBongosAnonymous · 13/03/2013 09:49

susie Kid is the same - three meals plus four bottles plus middle of the night. Probably has about a litre of milk. But he has rocketed up the centiles so that's my excuse too! Is now well above 75th in both length and weight. Obviously never read the books that said he would start dropping milk feeds.

brain I promise when I rule the world I will reinvent the teething process!

I'm proud of myself today, I went to Cinebabies with little man on my own Smile we went to see Oz, it was really good! It was a bit loud in parts which made him cry, and I went and stood down in the door bit to bounce him for a while but then he fell asleep. Would definitely do it again Grin

Babybeesmama · 13/03/2013 19:19

Ah well done mrsn Grin sounds fab!

I've had a lovely day with baby bee, he's been full of giggles & smiles - except when I go out of his line of sight! Serious separation anxiety!!

Tip for anyone doing BLW - DM got me a crinkle cutter as if the edges are wavy on stuff like pear that's slippy its easier for them to hold! He's been eating pitta bread today little scoffer!

Hope baby brains teeth are a bit better! Brain & mrsn what are LO's naps like now? Baby bee still won't sleep longer that 45-60 mins at a time but does 3 per day @ 9am, 12pm and 230pm, I wish he would sleep longer at lunchtime one tho. Xxx

MrsNPattz · 13/03/2013 19:47

How funny Amey - my crinkly cutter just arrived today Grin his nap times are half an hour a time, usually 3 or 4 times a day! Occasionally sleeps longer but not very often!

I have made 3 point chocolate brownies today so please help yourself Smile I had two with low fat custard - so yummy!

larlemucker · 13/03/2013 19:57

amey baby larle is 11 weeks and doesn't nap longer than that!!

We've had a lovely trip to Carlisle and spent out vouchers in mother care and lovely inflatable ring seat thingy and a cot mobile. Baby larle was such a good boy and I managed to feed him in costa so quite proud of myself. also went into house of frazer to look at dresses for an upcoming wedding, depressed that most wouldn't have fit round my thigh

Hope baby brain and all the other teethers are doing ok and we all get a decent nights sleep tonight!!

Been trying to get baby larle to nap today before he starts getting too tired, been successful so far as no hissy fits today!

funchum8am · 13/03/2013 20:24

Hi everyone, sorry to hear of bad nights! We had a shocker here too and I had an insomnia attack so enjoyed stressing about work while dd and DH slept from 2:30 til 4, though with the odd baby yell to break it up.

It was the funeral today of the student who died so school was a bit sombre but people coped really well.

I am off to bed with new earplugs! And AF has returned so feel a bit sad as it feels like I am not bfing as much as nature thinks I should, but it was my choice to go back to work and on a practical level it has been a great choice so I mustn't get soppy!

(in local news heff and goat, Chinese dad goes back to work next week so maybe DH will become local celebrity sahd!)

StitchAteMySleep · 13/03/2013 20:47

Hello all, haven't been able to get on here much between playgroups, playdates and kerbing Stitch's extreme toddler sports involving furniture.

Well done MrsN on your first stone and Cinebabies outing :)

Funch it is so hard maintaining breastfeeding while teaching with a young baby. I only had time to express as I was doing daily supply three days when dd1 was little and still ended up stopping expressing at work. There is no time when full time, lunch breaks are always a sandwich at a computer or while marking. Babyfunch will still get a lot from the remaining breastmilk feeds you give her, but it is not the be all and end all if you drop them all. In the grand scheme of things a happy, less stressed mummy is much more important for babyfunch.

Smallgreenone · 13/03/2013 20:51

Oh funch that's quick for AF. I stopped bf at new year and still has not returned, sometimes wonder if I may be pregnant as am soooooo tired but don't think I can be really. At least now the funeral is over things will get back to normal maybe.
Baby small naps really well now but has only just got the hang of it. 1hr in the morning, 2 hours at lunch and 30mins in the afternoon. Seems a lot but he needs all that or he is cranky pants baby from hell!
Off to bed now, nighty night for now........

MissingMyMarbles · 13/03/2013 21:08

Ended up co-sleeping from about 2.30 last night due to copious amounts of snot, poor baby Sad Doing first feed now too, only two hours since bedtime, which compared to recently us early; hoping its bit setting the tone for the night. Having said that, she might not of woken up but got a bit stuck doing acrobatics in her sleepGrin Think we are getting more teeth too.

Hope the other teethers are going ok.

larlemucker · 13/03/2013 23:16

Sorry if I'm being thick but what's AF?

Baby larle just had a mammoth feed so hoping that means he'll sleep for a bit tonight. He has been in a lovely, chatty mood this eve, even making new noises! So cute!! I know I am biased but I don't care!!

StitchAteMySleep · 14/03/2013 00:04

Hello again, my catch up post earlier was derailed by Stitch who decided to wake back up fully and lark about until 11pm. An hour later she has just woken again. This is on the back of last night's 2 hourly waking and multiple transfer fails and the night before that dancing about from 3-4am. Another tooth is definitely making an appearance soon.

larle AF is Aunt Flo. Aw babylarle sounds cute, I miss the little baby stage now I have a trainee Everest climbing toddler.

Small I've had two c-sections so I reckon that bought me 12 months of using that excuse Grin I am going to try my pregnancy Pilates book from when I had dd1 and start doing the 30 day shred again. I just need to make a regular time to do this in.

Transferring again, back later :)

StitchAteMySleep · 14/03/2013 00:07

Transfer fail.

MrsNPattz · 14/03/2013 01:14

First feed here, earlier than the last few nights and he's gulping it down!!

I really hope we don't have more snow in the morning, I want to get out walking!

MissingMyMarbles · 14/03/2013 02:26

Bless her, she woke up for a cuddle around 10 and then now for a feed. She's chuntering in but hopefully will self settle soon. Oh pants! I've just realised I forgot to put the timer on the rain noises. Don't really want to sneak back inConfused

I've had one or two 'period pains' so have wondered if its getting ready t return, but nothing as yet. I was still feeding DD1 when they returned last time; she was 10 months.

MrsN I don't want anymore snow either. It's spring now.

Stitch, hope you got a successful transfer.

StitchAteMySleep · 14/03/2013 04:10

Second feed here, hopefully transfer will go better this time. It took an hour last time before she went down in her cot.

MrsNPattz · 14/03/2013 05:50

Second feed here too, and I think little man thinks it's up time but he would be wrong!!

funchum8am · 14/03/2013 06:15

larle AF is periods, I never knew the term til I came on MN. seems it may have been a false alarm anyway, nothing more since last night. Weird.

babyfunch slept beautifully and didn't wake us at all last night for the first time ever

Shock
Susieloo · 14/03/2013 06:46

Morning Brew

We had a rubbish night so me and dp shared night duties in the end, awake at ten and then 2 ish for ages and then up at six, I've got to start pushi g his bed time back-might try taking him to the park late afternoon-when it warms up a bit!!

Have a good day everyone

larlemucker · 14/03/2013 06:52

Thanks for the explanation guys!
We were up for first feed at 3 am and then not up till now when baby larle did his morning poo!!! Strange how he seems to go the same time everyday!!
Thank you stitch, I don't want him to grow up! Saw a load of sweary teenagers on the park the other week, I don't want my little boy to become one of those!!
Sounds like there were some improvements last night! I've put a muslin back in baby larles cot that I shove down my bra for a few hours so it smells of me and it seems to have helped him sleep.
Trying to get him back to sleep now as its far too early to get up!!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 14/03/2013 08:26

Oh, going to the park late afternoon sounds like a great idea. The good nights continue Shock but Kid still thinks the day starts between 4:30 and 5am. Nooooo... mrsn you did make me Grin

funch if there was an popping champagne bottle too on I would be using it right now!! Congratulations!
