Oh well at least we have all made friends with each other out of our pain...you know how the veterans of the wars help each other out...well we are the sane (on a far lesser scale of suffering, I am not trying to minimise the horror of the trenches here, just invoke the spirit of mutual support after difficult experiences.)

goat we noticed a particularly screamy note to babyfunch's crying last night so went in immediately and she had flipped onto her front for the first time but couldn't roll back. I wonder if this is the start of acrobatics here...Sad totally feeling for you and everyone else with bad nights Sad Sad

heff I had a friend in Barney put on fb today that she has lost her voice but her DH was having to work so was alone with a very very vocal active 4 yr old and her 18mo so I headed over with babyfunch in the spirit of your rescue of me that time a while back...still paying it forward. But reminded me that iou a babysit so you just let me know when I can help!

Up every hour for a cuddle so far, also just flipped on to his tummy and got stuck - dp has had him for three nights and he's woken once at 11 and that's it then I get hourly wakings!!

Missmarbles his currently on her tummy too. I've been up every half an hour to check on her. Will flip her back to her back when I go to bed., because I am a scaredy cat, and obviously after I feed her.

First feed here - the sleeping didn't last long!

So far not too bad! First feed at 1 which hasn't happened so late for weeks. Is however now rotating rapidly and enthusiastically. Perfectly happy though!
Hooray to all the babies learning to roll over, despite the added angst for us!
funch you wrote that we are the sane... Not sure about that!! Grin And I had such lovely images of your friend with a pur

What a night!!!!!
Fed as we went to bed, then at 3ish then just now, and have put her back down in the hope of another hour. No transfer fails. Self-settling. All because, I firmly believe, she can lie on her tummy if she wants, and did Grin I feel like a different person; not least because I feel less stressed about work, feeling cautiously confident that there will be further improvement before then was probably a fluke, and I'll be bailing my eyes out at 2 o' clock tomorrow morning

Glad to read of some other improved nights too. Hope the quietness is also a positive sign.

Happy Mothers' Day Thanks

Been off internet due to awful nights and have just spent an hour catching up. Apologies for lack of name checking... Hugs for those of you missing dm/mil today. My dad died 3 years ago and it's weird when you start feeling like the oldest generation in your family. I'll be devastated when it's dms turn...

Lots of teachers in here. Does that mean you have perfectly behaved dcs? Grin

Strangely, next door had a party til 2.30am and we've had the best night for ages. Third wake here since 6pm though one was from 9.30-11.15 Babybrain has a busy day of out with dp for a run at 8, swimming and then lunch out with a friend. Maybe I'm too boring for him normally?!

Going to attempt trf in the hope of more sleep. Got pil and bil over for a big roast lunch so busy day today.

Oh should add that things are a bit better. Dp is now doing the first settle up to 11pm and taking babybrain if he wakes after 6.30 & before dp leaves for work which he always does...often at 5.30am these days...

Must get back to bed

Happy Mother's Day yummy mummy's!

We had a better night, I'm wondering if it was the gaviscon... He did 7-11 then DD woke him at 1 but he resettled with me till 5 then up at 6 (I was in with DD by then who wet the bed Confused!).

Had a lovely pandora charm for Mother's Day from my cheeky monkeys! What did everyone get? Xx

Oh and welcome daddyfunch

I got another couple of hours til 9.15 which is the best present possible just now!
Dp arrived with babybrain clutching eating a card for me and looking very cute and he did then demolish the envelope with sucking Grin

Susie so glad you got out of the conservatory, that must have been scary!

Thinking of those of you who have lost mums and MILs today. I am being spoiled -lie in and breakfast in bed Smile. Very glad I did all my marking during nap time yesterday so am not tempted to use the off duty time to do it now!

LOL at teachers having perfectly behaved dcs...my first thought when a pupil persistently plays up is to call their parents and get their help! DH has had a parent ask him to tell their child to behave at home and to threaten to come round or similar if they don't though Shock

I got a lovely Pandora charm too larle!

Happy Mother's Day everyone.

I got a massive box of chocolates from the Belgian chocolate shop in the village and a card saying baby larle will cool me breakfast in bed when he can reach the cooker, got a while to wait then!!!

Hope you all have good days, thinking of others who have lost DM or MIL

I think possibly Amey, he chewed it and it hurt a few days ago and since then it's been uncomfortable to feed from and then I noticed that this morning. My left was sore a while back and it got better itself so hopefully this is the same! Dread feeding from that side though Confused

I did get other things though lol a first mummy's day card, a mum teddy and little plant, and some Tulisa toiletries - they smell delicious! Just had lunch at Frankie and Benny's where I got a little box of chocs, a card and a badge which was nice! Now off to SILs!

We woke up to lots of snow - where did that come from??

Report
MrsNPattz · 10/03/2013 17:25

Can I ask, when do people know to feed their little ones during the night? As soon as little man has woken me up, I get up and feed him and he usually goes back to sleep while being fed. He never cries, he's either whinging or talking. SIL said to me today 'oh you should just leave him to go back to sleep'. Another piece of advice I didn't want or need, but has now made me feel like I'm doing something wrong yet again.

And I got called a spoil sport for not having a cupcake by MIL - I always come away from seeing them feeling pissed off about something!!

Report
MissingMyMarbles · 10/03/2013 18:30

Well done for resisting the cupcake, MrsN! You will be glad you did at WW and ignore your MiL. First weigh day (at home) for me tomorrow; had a sneak preview and have been really good so hoping for great things.

Glad you got out of the conservatory, Susie!

I got breakfast in bed, a homemade card and tissue flowers and two cards. I got a pandora bracelet for Christmas; a charm would be lovely but it didn't even cross my mind, never mind DH's the children's Grin

My optimism may have been premature this morning Hmm Gad a very grizzly day. Not crying so much as just incessant yelling! She's really frustrated at not crawling despite being pretty mobile. Plus, Sundays are a bit if a nightmare and her first nap ended up being 12.45 to 1.45 instead of 10.30, so she hasn't had an afternoon nap and is now in bed and asleep already, having only drained one side the other side leaked all over my clean jarmiesAngry Hope she, and all her wee friends, sleep well.
Catch you later no doubt, although I am but great at overnight posting, I do try to read.
