Oh, Abi SadThanks so positive that it has been caught early though, and hopefully she won't need the chemo.

I haven't watched the OBEM, but I am so incredibly thankful for my healthy babies too. I had to have lots of scans with Missmarbles because of the problems I'd had with DD1. It was lovely and reassuring in many ways but I used to fret before each one in case there was a problem. DD1 was in NICU and SCBU, Amey. She was so tiny, but there were babies there even smaller and much sicker; do heartbreaking.

Hope you're feeling much better, SoYo. It's awful being poorly with little ones to look after.

Missmarbles seemed to enjoy nursery this morning and DD1 and I enjoyed our lunch. Missmarbles is knackered though so will hopefully sleep well. Ironically, I was planning on setting off for my parents' in the early hours when she wakes for a feed - bet she sleeps through tonight bet she doesn't!

Sleep well everyone Smile

abi my stepmum (who is a really important person in my life and in my family) and my DMIL have both come through breast cancer in the past ten years. If your mum needs some psychological support Breast Cancer Havens are fab if there is one in a city near her. It is great they have caught it early. I have everything crossed for her.

Daddyfunch's work have said no to part time so we are a bit Sad today. Not sure what to do but he is looking at his options. Full time work is not one if them though as we would like to avoid full time childcare if we can for a while longer.

mrsn I have mind racing insomnia too. a piece of paper and pen by your bed to write down new ideas or persistent thoughts can sometimes help. As can this thread! Smile

MrsNPattz · 29/03/2013 02:24

First feed here, I finally dropped off and have had a few hours I think, just hope it doesn't start again now! Thanks for the tip Funch, that's not so good about daddy funch's work - hope you can figure something out!

Hope the house viewing went well Heff!

MissingMyMarbles · 29/03/2013 02:27

Awake for first feed 1.50Shock!!! By the time if made the bottle up she'd virtually self-settled and I really wish now that I hadn't lifted her coz she took half an ounce and played with it. I've put her down again and left the room. Don't think she's asleep, but it's all quiet on the home front. I do home this is a turning point and she's not sick or something -doesnt seem to be Confused Unfortunately, as I assumed that first feed would be around 11, I have not made the most of this long stretch and now I am lying here wondering and hoping all ok....

abi2790 · 29/03/2013 04:17

Thanks everyone Smile

Third feed here! I am shattered. Hopefully he'll sleep for more than two hours when he goes back to sleep!

abi2790 · 29/03/2013 06:13

Fourth feed Sad

Smallgreenone · 29/03/2013 06:24

Abi I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. Good news that they've caught it early though so that's very hopeful.
I had weekly scans with baby small as had complications and I hated it. They never knew if his lungs would work or not as my waters started leaking so early. In the end of course he was fine and is now driving me insane but every week I'd see him on the screen and not know if he was going to be ok and it was hard.

MrsNPattz · 29/03/2013 06:57

Second feed and probably up time, we are traveling to mum and dad's today so no point going back to sleep although I need it! Hopefully get some sleep in the car.

Abi I hope you can get some rest today!

Babybeesmama · 29/03/2013 07:11

Ah small that must of been so tough!

I had a dream that he slept through last night, could hear him & dreamt I'd checked my phone & it was 630am, actually it was 230Confused but the nights are much better than last week. Hoping we are finally getting somewhere! X

GoatBongosAnonymous · 29/03/2013 08:25

abi really sorry to hear about your mum. As the others have said, catching it early is a really good start. My MIL (who is lovely Smile ) has had it and it treated at the brilliant Royal Marsden.

small that's tough. We were fine until 31 weeks but have to say he had some hairy moments in that first ten days after birth. And as you say, now of course he is driving me demented by being into everything! Who knew there were so many variants on trouble at floor level?!

amey we too are having slightly better nights, so perhaps our two can compare notes and encourage each other!

heff how was the house? How exciting, a real new era beginning!

funch meh about the part time - you'd think after 6 years of great service they might have some loyalty to their staff... My DH is also asking for part time next year so fingers crossed here too.

Hi to everyone else, am on phone so scrolling is tricky!

I hate being tired, it makes me grumpy and I find I get anxious sleep and being tired - I'm pathetic! Sad

abi2790 · 29/03/2013 17:49

Little man has had no sleep all day! I have a feeling we're at the 4 month growth spurt (he'll be 4 months next week but was 2 weeks overdue). I know he's shattered so I've just bathed him and massaged him. He's falling asleep now whilst feeding but I have a feeling he won't sleep for long :(

Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday :)

MissingMyMarbles · 29/03/2013 18:49

Evening all. Doing bedtime feed at my parents and really hoping for a repeat if last night without the 3 hour I overnight drive!! We set off when Missmarbles had fed as she didn't settle straight away after I posted last night. We made good time and I got to sleeeeeeep while DM entertained both of the DDs!! Wish DH was here but it's so good to be back in the NE sea air Smile

MrsNPattz · 29/03/2013 18:51

That should say anxious about sleep!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 29/03/2013 23:07

There are bunnies! [bugrin] I never noticed!

MrsNPattz · 30/03/2013 00:48

First feed!

larlemucker · 30/03/2013 02:02

First feed. Don't think baby larle can stay full for longer than 2 hours.Hmm
Can hardly see so tired Hmm

SoYo · 30/03/2013 02:22

Second feed here....was really hoping for a 3 or 4am but now just hoping I can get her down after this one! Matchstick eyes already, doesn't bode well for the rest of the night! [busad]

BrainGoneAwol · 30/03/2013 02:29

Hello all
Back again.... Staying with iLs and babybrain is in the same room as us - previous good sleeping of feeds at 6,12,5 have collapsed. Really hope this doesn't spoil things Sad. Up for the third time in 4.5 hours and resorted to feeding him to sleep this last time. Hope I'm not making a mistake with him or my supply...

On the plus side I have internet to share it with all you lovely people!

Sorry to read of hard things going on for people. Sad Having good support around you is so important.

I would off chocolate but I suspect there is enough kicking around the place Grin

BrainGoneAwol · 30/03/2013 02:31

Um that's meant to say 'offer chocolate'

MrsNPattz · 30/03/2013 03:08

Second feed Hmm

Welcome back Brain!

Pinebarrens · 30/03/2013 03:26

Hello, I'm a bit of a lurker, I've been kidding myself on that DS has been too young to join these threads, you know he's just a newborn, newborns do night awakenings, that's normal...

Well he's 6 months old now and weaning commenced last week, hes not a newborn anymore, and he doesn't sleep through.

A typical night - he goes down at 7.30 after a bottle, wakes around 10.00 for a breast feed, then around 2.30-3.30 for another feed then thats usually him til 7.00

I appreciate it's not bad but bloody hell his sister going through the night without any feeds by 12 weeks.

He's had two stints of sleeping through, but the above is just the way it is.

Nothing constructive to add, I would just like more sleep!

Thanks for listening

larlemucker · 30/03/2013 03:34

Welcome pine

Second feed, only been down for an hour. So tired

Babybeesmama · 30/03/2013 03:58

Welcome pine! I have a 6 month old much the same - he is formula fed (and that made no difference to sleep when I stopped bf!) my first slept through at 11 weeks! Can't imagine more than 4 hours sleep in a row!

Anyway - this will make u all laugh, babybee has started storing up poo for 3-4 days then exploding, so today he was doing reverberating farts in the High chair then clung on for dear life to poo. I went to change him & it was literally up to shoulders - everywhere, DD (poo obsessed) fell off sofa trying to get a look, fell on a piece of duplo so was wailing, I'm there hands covered in shit, both of them screaming! Had to carry DS at arms length upstairs and dunk him straight in bath (both still wailing at this point) and the vest was so bad I threw it away! Glad it happened at home & not in zizzi's at lunch!

Attempting transfer, which will no doubt fail & result in him in our bed.....again Confused
