Oh yes heff it has followed exactly my prediction - he now has over the eye headache & doesn't want tea & has done nothing but lie on sofa and moan. I feel a bit Angry I have no problem with him going out but he does this every time & it ruins the next evening! Going to tell him to go sod off to bed - I can't be arsed with his dying duck routine.

larlemucker · 27/03/2013 19:44

" dying duck routine" love it amey!!!!

abi2790 · 27/03/2013 19:50

Hi eeyore ds is fine. They're still swollen and bruised but he doesn't seem bothered by it.

He's asleep now... Hope he does another 9 hours!

MrsNPattz · 27/03/2013 20:43

Ok Heff thanks, it will just be water I think!

Hopefully last bedtime feed here, I'm knackered despite a good night last night - we did heaps of walking today!
What are your plans while you are away?
Does anyone do anything exciting for Easter? We are off to my mum and dads on Friday until Monday.

Babybeesmama · 27/03/2013 22:50

Larle - he has it perfected! I was wise this time tho! He has been told - next night out he must behave!

Last who am I kidding feed here, I'm feeling super sleepy. Hoping his chest is much better Tomo as otherwise think I should take him to gp before Easter weekend.

We are not up to much exciting mrsn! Still got loads of snow! Think we will see the grandmas/grandads for lunch on one of the days. DD will love getting Easter eggs - I might get her the Percy pig one from m&s and attempt not to eat it all myself. My mum is buying them both clothes instead of eggs. I might buy DS a skip hop lunch bag ready for when he starts nursery :(

Abi - glad LO's legs are ok! Hope everyone gets some sleep!

Ps just checked on DD and she is co-sleeping with her baby annabell - looked so sweet! She was snuggled up just like I do with babybee! She's the cutest! X

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 27/03/2013 22:57

First feed here, she timed it perfectly to me saying night to mil, getting upstairs and digging out pjs, then she woke demanding immediate attention!

Glad DS is happy now abi

mrsn we're going to look at a house tomorrow, then got various soft play and swimming type activities planned with SIL and her little boy who is 8 months, hopefully a nice meal out with everyone at some point too if we can afford it.

I wonder if the "dying duck" routine will make an appearance here tomorrow. DH still not back despite saying it wouldn't be a late one. I don't mind but seeing as he's been up since half 2 this morning I expect he probably is tired so by tomorrow he'll be both tired and hungover and a pain in the arse to be around so I won't hold my breath for a lie in!

Attempting transfer in a minute, not liking having her in a cot so far away, I miss my lovely co sleeper crib!

MissingMyMarbles · 27/03/2013 23:18

Further to our eBay conversations, I do love shopping on there Grin Have some bids on some Sylvanian Families for DD1's birthday; always feel slightly excited at the end of the auction when I win Just spent a fortune though - eek!

I'm taking my girls to my parents on Friday, and coming back Monday. Sadly, DH is working so can't come with us. He's on holiday nest week though, as I start back to work (in my new job) on Tuesday Confused

Missmarbles was fine at nursery. She goes again tomorrow and then Tuesday when I am at work, but as I said, DH is around then.

Abi - It's normal to have a little lump where you've had a jab, sometimes. It looks nasty and defo keep an eye on it, but usually, it's not a problem and goes awaySmile

Larle - happy birthday for the other day, and super well done on WWGrin

Envy at lovely night's sleep, but glad you got them, MrsN and Abi. Hopefully, tonight will be our night! She's really good with a bottle now, but has only been taking a couple of ounces - tonight, though, she scoffed 4! Hope it keeps her going longer.

Waves to everyone Smile Will probably read in the night, but just to tired to post these days

SoYo · 27/03/2013 23:20

Bad start to the night here. Was getting ready for bed a couple of hours ago & suddenly overcome with massive nausea & was really sick for about half an hour. Timed perfectly with Bubba screaming for a feed. Finally managed to stop vomming so am now feeding her but feel rancid. DH isn't poorly so unlikely to be food related, just hope it doesn't happen again overnight!

larlemucker · 28/03/2013 00:41

Oh no soyo, hope it was a one off.

We're up for first feed here.

heff sounds like you have a nice Easter planned, we were meant to be going to ours friends new house in Sunday but she has cancelled on us. Feel bad for thinking this as she was my bump buddy when pregnant but starting to get really pissed off with her as she always cancels our arrangements. It's really annoying.

Struggling to keep eyes open, be back later I'm sure!!!

MrsNPattz · 28/03/2013 00:48

Oh great, the early feed is back SadI feel like I have all this anxiety running around my head about what we should/shouldn't be doing with him. I was super chilled until people started giving me their advice/opinions. It's not easy this parenting lark!

Aw bless DD Amey! So cute.

Sounds good Heff! Hope it goes well tomorrow.

I am hoping I don't get any Easter eggs, I have asked hubby for a neon satchel what's that, it's not Christmas??

MrsNPattz · 28/03/2013 00:49

Soyo hope you feel better very soon!

abi2790 · 28/03/2013 02:29

First feed here. DS slept for 6 hours but he was feeding for ages so really it's a lot longer than that. We've had some devastating news tonight so I've not slept very well but I'm glad ds did. He's going back to sleep now so hopefully I won't be awake for too long.

Hoping everyone is having a good night's sleep :)

geekette · 28/03/2013 05:16

she slept. Jesus wept.

Smallgreenone · 28/03/2013 06:37

Bad night here ended up co sleeping, think he was cold as little egg was blue. I am going back to bed when he goes for morning nap.

funchum8am · 28/03/2013 07:08

abi I hope you are ok, I am so sorry to hear you have had bad news.

geek hurray!

heff am well jel at you being in lovely Cornwall!

mrsn a neon satchel sounds right up daddyfunch's street!

I have had a ridiculously busy week at work but we break up at lunchtime today. Bring it on!

I have a bfing question - now it is the holidays I can bf during the day, but will my supply pick up to meet demand? anyone know how long that might take? obviously she can carry on with bottles but bfing would be more convenient!

MrsNPattz · 28/03/2013 07:19

Well this is his second feed so not so bad after all, hoping for a bit more sleep but I think it might be up time!

Abi sorry you have some bad news, hope you are ok.

geekette · 28/03/2013 07:39

now properly awake and realising she has shifted her core sleeping hours from 11-5 and the every hour wake up is still happening outside these times.

for now, this is good enough. I just need some sleep. might moan about the other wakings in a week Grin

first time I've slept properly in 7 months! wishing everyone else better nights ahead.

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 28/03/2013 07:43

abi sorry to hear you've had bad news, we're here if you want to talk about it Thanks

soyo hope you're feeling better soon

funch good to see you!

Quite a good night after all, feeds at 11 and 3 then up at half 6. Struggling with the travelcot though my back is quite weak and its worse when I've been lying down so getting her out has been painful. Other than that though we had a good nights sleep, and planning on a lie in tomorrow :)

MrsNPattz · 28/03/2013 15:28

I should not have watched last nights OBEM, so so sad. I just cannot begin to comprehend what that couple went through/are going through. Feel so lucky to have my little man asleep in my arms.

Anyway, on a more positive note - the sun is shining! We had a walk up to the salon to get my eyebrows waxed at lunch time and this morning I made chocolate Easter nests and soup.

Hope everyone is ok!

Smallgreenone · 28/03/2013 18:51

I watched it too mrsn so terribly sad. Had to give baby small an extra big kiss and cuddle. I don't know how people cope with what that couple went through. One of my fathers friends is a paediatric heart specialist who operates on poorly babies with hearts as big as your thumb nail he has some heartbreaking stories to tell and some amazing ones too. He was awarded a CBE for services to medicine and I think all those dr's should be awarded the work they can do is amazing.

abi2790 · 28/03/2013 20:20

Thanks everyone. I don't know how to talk about it. My mum has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We don't have the closest relationship but I'm devastated. Luckily they have caught it early but I just don't know what to say or do.

larlemucker · 28/03/2013 20:32

abi so sorry to hear that. My mum also had breast cancer about 10 years ago. She had a mastectomy and chemo, she was poorly during the chemo but came through the other side and got the all clear 5 years later.
It's a horrible shock but glad to hear they caught it early. Do you know if she'll need chemo?

Babybeesmama · 28/03/2013 20:54

Abi - so sorry to hear that. We are all here for you to talk to us. Hopefully as they have caught it early treatment will be very successful. Massive virtual hugs though ThanksThanks

I also sobbed at OBEM! That couple were SO brave, the baby looked so incredibly perfect it must have been so difficult to comprehend. I remember even before I had children going to x ray a baby on special care and it was so poorly, when I got there the consultant said just call the parents and let them hold their baby one last time - he was a huge man holding this weeny baby in this white blanket, I sobbed in the dark room for 30 mins before my shift finished! I have to say in their position on OBEM I would've made the same decision to give baby a chance, funny tho I never even considered at each 20 week scan that anything would be wrong, must be such a shock.
So thankful for my beautiful healthy babies xxx

abi2790 · 28/03/2013 21:20

larle they've said they're going to remove the tumour then do radiotherapy and there's a good chance she won't have to have chemo. They're not sure yet though until they've removed the tumour. She's only 41 so I know she has her age on her side which makes me feel a little better.

My poor boy just woke up crying his little heart out Sad

MrsNPattz · 28/03/2013 22:07

I'm giving little man a dream feed, I have been lying in my bed for an hour and a half and just can't get to sleep. I just know when I eventually drop off he will wake up so thought I may as well feed him now. I'm so tired during the day but when I get to bed my brain just won't switch off - mainly thinking about this new opportunity that could quite possibly change my life. I am up and down to the loo too - so frustrating.

Abi, so sorry to hear about your mum, sending lots of positivity and hugs your way Thanks

Amey that's so sad, it doesn't bare thinking about does it!
