First feed here, where has this early feed come from??

Thanks for your lovely words Marbles and Heff, I saw a post on Facebook that made me cry earlier, about a little baby who had died, so right now I don't care if I'm still feeding him to sleep when he's 8 remind me tomorrow

Heff I'm still sleeping in the nursery with little man, we talked about me going back into our room at 6 months but as he's still waking it works better this way.

Abi how are you feeling now?

abi2790 · 19/03/2013 01:10

First feed of the night. Ds is awake really early tonight even though he went to sleep late.

I'm feeling a bit better MrsNPattz. could do with a good night's sleep though!

Susieloo · 19/03/2013 01:38

Up every hour or two due to snot and cot gymnastics

heff bb is still in with us and will be until we move to a three bed house, I'm secretly quite pleased about this because his cot is right next to me-downside is I hear every snuffle or groan.

MrsNPattz · 19/03/2013 02:43

Second feed here Sad

Glad you are feeling better abi!

larlemucker · 19/03/2013 03:35

Evening

MrsN have you not seen the thread on here about things you worry about that won't matter? As someone said on there who cares if you rock/sing/feed to sleep, enjoy the cuddles while you can. You don't see any 21 year olds that can't get to sleep without bring rocked!!

We're on second feed, wondering if I'll ever get more than 3 hours sleep in one go! No hysterics tonight though. Is there a 12 week growth spurt?

abi hope Drs find out what's wrong and it's nothing serious.

WW weigh in tomorrow, should have lost weight as been hungry for 3 days? Had a relapse though today and ate a cadburys caramel, 18 points!!!

Babybeesmama · 19/03/2013 04:02

Stingy eyes Confused unsettled here again.. Co sleeping doesn't help. Too sleepy to write anymore .....

GoatBongosAnonymous · 19/03/2013 04:22

Has anyone seen that shaker of sleepy dust?

mrsn do you know the poem 'Lullaby for a fifth child'? Do google it if you don't, it's lovely... (And must remember it myself on the middle of the night)

heff I unceremoniously dumped Kid on his cot at 6 months. Lasted about 10 days of pretty good sleep before it all went to pot and I took him back in with me. Then a cou

Sort, keep doing that on my phone! A couple of weeks ago I realised that the quality of our co sleeping was so bad that he needed to go back again. The next night was out best ever and we have had good and bad since. But at least I am not getting kicked all night, and am not terrified of him taking off down the bed and over the side!

Hello abi hope you are on the mend.

susie ah, cot gymnastics... Smile

BrainGoneAwol · 19/03/2013 04:34

amey hope you got some rest. I used to wear contact lenses but have had to wear glasses since babybrain was born as my eyes got too sore with all the waking. I was thinking yesterday how much I am looking forward to going back to them. Funny the things you don't expect when you're ttc!

mrsn I think some of us just have wakeful babies. They'll learn in time if we support them in the meantime I've been having good nights, I may change my mind about this

susie babybrain always sounds a little snuffly. Not really enough to call a cold but he also usually sneezes at least once a day. I asked the gp ages ago and she was totally unfussed and said as there are no other symptoms it was unlikely to be allergies...

larle babybrain's first teeth came through at 22 weeks and he was drooling for a good month before that. On the otherhand the rest of his nct class were dribbling before him but now seem to have mostly stopped and none have teeth. Weird. Apparently it's hereditary.

heff babybrain moved out at 4 months as he was too long for his Moses basket lasts til 6 months my foot! We wanted to move him while there was still time to do it slowly - so him in Moses basket in cot for a week, before going directly into the bed. It didn't make any noticeable difference to his sleep at the time, which was 3-4 wakes. Main difference was that dp and I got better sleep once I learned to trust the monitor.

Second feed going on here, though he has a very gurgly tummy so I'm not sure how well transfer will go or how long he will sleep Hmm

larlemucker · 19/03/2013 04:52

Transfer fail. Fed up cos sky app won't work so can't watch come dine or SATC. Batt going on on phone so I'll have to read a book kindle Shock

abi2790 · 19/03/2013 05:16

Second feed of the night My eyes are so stingy!

Smallgreenone · 19/03/2013 08:22

Hi all, sorry for the bad nights we weren't actually too bad so I feel alive again today. I'm pretty sure he doesn't need feeding in the night though because he then only takes 4oz of his morning bottle. I'm still weaning him off slowly and think I will drop down to 3oz tonight.
Baby small was moved at 12 weeks! It made no difference to his sleep and I missed him a bit but not enormously!!
Gorgeous and sunny here. Going to pop up to clinic and get baby small weighed as not done that in ages. Then think I may take our crazy hound for a walk with baby small in the sling.
Have a good day all.

MrsNPattz · 19/03/2013 08:46

Thanks Larle and Brain - that is so true Larle, I will remember that Smile I don't know that one Goat, I will have a luck!

Awake at 7:20 here, not the best night! Tuesday is our busy day - WW and water babies. And it's snowing so won't be walking anywhere.

Hope you all have a good day - good luck at WW Larle!

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 19/03/2013 09:17

Oh goat I love that poem, "The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I?ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I?m rocking my baby and babies don?t keep." Makes me a bit teary Blush and is exactly how I feel when its not 3am and babylump's yelling at full volume about bringing them up, it goes too fast, enjoy as many cuddles as you can while they still want to cuddle you. I'm dreading the day they're too cool for cuddles :(

GoatBongosAnonymous · 19/03/2013 09:37

a link to the whole poem for those who would like to start their day with a little hormonal soppiness Smile

MrsNPattz · 19/03/2013 10:20

That is so lovely Goat, thank you Smile and yes, does give you a lump in your throat! After reading that post on FB I just wanted to cuddle little man all night Sad

I lost 1lb Grin

larlemucker · 19/03/2013 11:27

Well done MrsN Grin

Bad night here, think we're having a growth spurt as baby larle fed from 3am to 6am practically none stop. Is there a 12 week growth spurt?

Do I want to read this poem, going to dentist and have to walk through village, don't want panda eyes!!

Smallgreenone · 19/03/2013 11:57

goat that's a lovely poem. Weirdly I already miss his newborn days where he'd sleep on my chest all day, I even miss sitting in his nursery in the nursing chair for hours on end! They do grow up too quickly.

Smallgreenone · 19/03/2013 11:58

Oh larle yes there is a big growth spurt at 12 weeks. And then you hit the 4 month sleep regression! Grin

MrsNPattz · 19/03/2013 12:20

I'm updating my CV - do I say that I'm on Maternity Leave on it??

MissingMyMarbles · 19/03/2013 14:04

I did on an application form, MrsN. It was my very valid excuse reason for my yearly training being out of date. Also, they're not allowed to disadvantage you just coz you're on ML Smile

MissingMyMarbles · 19/03/2013 14:07

Should say, though, if they don't need to know at this stage, I probably wouldn't say. As I said, all my annual updates had lapsed and a record of that was asked for, so felt I needed to give a reason for why.

Babybeesmama · 19/03/2013 14:27

I'd say depends whether you are using cv to find another job right now, if so I'd be honest yes, if not then I would leave it for now. Well done on weight loss!

I went to baby group this morning and spoke to a lovely health visitor who has offered me lots of advice re the sleeping. She thinks cc at night is our best option as we are not giving him chance to re settle fear of him waking DD.

He had a 1hr 45min nap at lunch Grin this has never happened before!! X

larlemucker · 19/03/2013 15:19

Christ small surely I can't get any less sleep?!!!! Really not looking forward to that!
We had a feel round baby larles gums last night but couldn't feel anything, he really does drool a lot though. Is that normal if they are not teething?

Babybeesmama · 19/03/2013 16:03

Yep larle drool is all normal developmental stuff! And finger chewing! Babybee's first tooth appeared at 4.5 months ish, I think the really obvious symptoms were a week before but with his sleep always being appalling we didn't notice!!

He's figured out that jumping in the jumperoo is fun this afternoon! Had loads of hilarious giggling! It sound so corny but even tho the sleep thing has been so hard I know ill miss then being small so much & ill know ill look back on these days and realise they were the best! Grin Agree with everyone else that it goes far too quick hoping DH will let me have one more!

HV did say to me not to let him nap after 3pm, but I'm not sure we are quite ready to drop that short nap yet! X
