What time does he go to bed susie? Baby small ones at 6.30 but I'd prefer it to be 7 but I just can't keep him up any longer. We were up at 6 too, far too early! Gorgeous sunny day again so that makes it a bit better. I need to do a serious house clean today if I can, downstairs is ok because the cleaner takes care of that but upstairs is getting pretty dusty and uncared for. What's the betting I don't do it though?!

Smallgreenone · 14/03/2013 08:28

Also forgot to say, well done baby funch!

Susieloo · 14/03/2013 09:10

Small he goes up for his bath at 5.15 and then after bath-scream while I'm getting him changed-feed and then asleep by six, its a struggle some days to get him to 5.15 but that will be the time I'm getting in from work, really not sure how to keep him awake any longer. This also means we start our day at 5.45-6am.

MrsNPattz · 14/03/2013 09:34

Well I won earlier with out much of a fight, I changed him first then he had a long feed starting off wide awake and ending fast asleep! We slept until gone 8 so another couple of hours.

Found out this morning that my grandad is in hospital with breathing problems Sad he went in yesterday morning and they didn't tell my mum until 4pm!!

We are braving the weather and going for a walk after this feed, no more snow in the night thankfully.

Hope you all have a good day xx

daddyfunch · 14/03/2013 13:29

Just a quick one to say "hello" all round and to apologise for babyfunch's behaviour last night!! I'm sure she will be back to normal soon!

Have just braved my first NCT coffee morning which, despite someone shouting on my arrival, "It's a man!" and everyone turning round and staring, went very well. Plenty of cake and flapjacks on offer too!

Hope everyone is having a nice day and enjoying the sunshine.

Babybeesmama · 14/03/2013 14:41

Wow funch and daddy funch Blush that is amazing Grin you seriously deserved that after some of your terrible nights!! Can she send some of her sleepy dust this way please?! Although saying that we had better night 7-9 then 1 till 530 and co slept till 7! Good for us anyway!

Mrsn hope your grandad is ok!! Xx

Smallgreenone · 14/03/2013 15:39

Hope your grandpa is ok mrsn, such a worry these oldies. My grandpa is 94 on Sunday so we are going home for a wild party, well not wild really but he does like a beer!
It's trying to snow here now, I'd like an afternoon in the park too, when the winter finally decides to give way to spring.
Enjoying my 30 mins of peace before I get baby small up from his nap.

Susieloo · 14/03/2013 17:32

Love all the nct mums proclaiming 'its a man!!' daddyfunchGrin

Last feed before bed-despite two hour long naps today he is still exhausted by 5 and just doesn't seem able to stay up any later.

Really hoping we don't have a repeat of last night, anyone else think its one step forward two back-we were making real progress and its all fine pear shaped.

Hope your grandpa is okay mrsn

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 14/03/2013 18:47

Sending lots of good health vibes for your grandad mrsn

Oh wow funch that's fantastic, really hope that's the start of good things to come, especially after some of the truly horrendous nights you've had. I'd say there's definitely an opening for local sahd fame, if CD is going back to work then daddyfunch it sounds like the position is there for the taking Wink Glad you had a good coffee morning.

Babylump is driving me demented today :( She's got so clingy this week and has a total meltdown if I dare put her down for two minutes. She's also perfected a horrible super shrill squeal which could break glass I'm sure, and I think its purely an attention thing because once I pick her back up its all smiles again. I can't carry her round all day, even with a sling I can't manage as much as she's demanding. Its getting me down because I want her to be happy but I just can't keep up.

Off to slimming club now, have been rubbish this week so not expecting great things. mrsn you're an inspiration I wish I had your willpower!

Night all catch you later xx

Babybeesmama · 14/03/2013 18:59

Heff baby bee is exactly the same since Monday - he's like Velcro baby! Screams if I so much as move an inch towards door & wails if anyone else attempts to hold him! Made it hard work today as DD had her jabs and her arms hurt this afternoon & she wanted mummy but DS wouldn't go to my friend or SIL! Confused

Bedtime bottle here and he had a huge tea which also included finishing off DD's cheese on toast. He's such a little piggy!! X

MrsNPattz · 14/03/2013 19:08

Thanks guys, mum has gone to see him tonight so will know more tomorrow probably.

Well done baby Funch that's brilliant!! Hope it continues.

Aw thanks Heff, I hope you get on ok.

I'm shattered tonight, hubby is bathing little man so I've just sat down in front of the telly. We went for a walk this morning, then I made chicken pies this afternoon. They were yummy!

Smallgreenone · 14/03/2013 19:40

Baby small is a Velcro baby too, he sits on my hip most of the day. It's worse in the afternoons and when he's tired but he's pretty clingy. Also still not eating Sad. Even eggy bread was rejected today and he normally likes that. Trying not to get down about it as I know all his calories and nutrition come from milk but I'd still like him to eat- he used to think food was great a few weeks ago. susie big resounding yes to one step forward and two back!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 14/03/2013 19:49

Hmm, Velcro baby, check.
Shrill squeal, check.
Morning poonami, check.
Sleep up and down like a yoyo, check.

Hmm

These babies really need to stop consulting with each other. When on earth are they finding time to do that? Are they tag teaming, do you think?

Congrats on your foray into the NCT coffee morning, daddyfunch ! and your survival

All the best with your granddad, mrsn

daddyfunch · 14/03/2013 19:59

Mrsn I hope your gramps is ok. Fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear of bad nights...I am getting nervous about whatever payback babyfunch has in store for us after last night's unexpected good sleep. Spreading the sleepy dust around liberally!

Also hope those clingy babies improve...god forbid babyfunch ever get like that about me! Or daddyfunch, in fact, as we both work!

MrsNPattz · 14/03/2013 22:02

Aw little man woke up half an hour after going down very upset, with his teeth I think. Given him Calpol and Nelson's teething powder and that's him back down. Hopefully that settles him for the night, poor thing!

larlemucker · 14/03/2013 22:31

funch is that you signed on as daddyfunch?

MrsN I hope your grandad is better soon and it's nothing serious.

daddyfunch you are a brave man! My DH came with me to breast feeding support and baby social while he was on leave but there's no way he would have gone on his own with baby larle! not that he would need breast feeding support but you know what I meanGrin

Not a bad night last night but baby larle has not had many naps today, and we had to wake him for his bath tonight as he had been to his grandmas today and she smokes, not in the house or around DS but he still smells of smoke when he comes home. He is currently thrashing around cot, hoping he will put himself back to sleep

Sleepy dust to everyone

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 14/03/2013 22:45

larle Grin at your DH needing breastfeeding support!

I lost 3lbs!! No idea how, and tbh the glass of wine or three I've had tonight had probably ruined the achievement but still really happy about that, had totally expected to have put on this week!

I think DH is in a bit of a hump because I legged it and left him with the DDs tonight but I feel better for having had some time to myself, DM came to meet me too while I was out so we've had a nice nice after all.

Up to bed now, expecting babylump will probably wake as soon as I get comfy though, how do they always know?!

MissingMyMarbles · 14/03/2013 22:59

Both my girls are under the weather tonight. DD1 has a temperature yet again, and Missmarbles is full if cold, not that you could tell by her mood, she's been on fine form, but more by the copious amounts of snot and the snorting while she feeds. Hopefully they will both sleep all night and wake up feeling better tomorrow.

Evening, FamilyFunch! Well done baby for last night. Long may it continue and spread the word Wink "It's a man!"! That's funny Grin

Hope your grandad's health improves quickly, MrsN.

Hi to everyone else. Sorry for bit better name checking, I can't remember what I have read less than five minutes ago, and I can barely keep my eyes open. Hope everyone gets long stints, although as Heff said, bet I get woken as soon as I nod off Grin

BrainGoneAwol · 15/03/2013 01:05

mrsn hope your grandad is ok Sad

amey babybrain's naps vary between 30 mins-1.5 hours (rare). Though if he was on me I think he'd sleep all day!

Had a good night last night (relatively speaking), in that there was one block of 3.5 hours sleep for me, but he woke at 5.30 for the day. His bottom has mostly cleared never did get around to egg white but so far tonight he's woken at least every hour since 7.30pm. Poor little one, he is really suffering with his teeth Sad. I wish I could do more to help. Everything is so ineffective.

Dreading that the rest of the night will be like this...

GoatBongosAnonymous · 15/03/2013 02:28

Oh well, I knew we were in for a bad night as the last few nights deteriorated towards normal... Have been to him every 15 mins or so since 11pm. Refusing to cosleep. I LOVE my bed! Especially when it is free of wriggly, kicky babies who hog three quarters of it...

Can I persuade Kid to let me experience said bed for the rest of the night? Preferably until at least 7 and not his favoured 4:30? Hmm

OP posts:
larlemucker · 15/03/2013 02:47

Oh no lots of bad nights out there, we're up for our usual 3am ish feed!

Very proud of baby larle for getting himself to sleep twice today!!

Right sex and the city is on!! More sleepy dust bring spread

MrsNPattz · 15/03/2013 02:55

First feed here, sounds like some seriously bad nights going on - naughty babies! Hope things improve!

Heff that's fantastic, well done you!

Grandad has an infection so is getting antibiotics which is improving things ignores news he was on a ward with all ladies, mum said 'I hope there has been no hanky panky', grandad replied 'they are all about 90' and mum said 'so are you!!' Haha that's the grandad we know and love he likes a good flirt

Smallgreenone · 15/03/2013 04:43

Why is it that baby small picks a night when dh is away to be up every two hours? Do they actually know you're on your own and want some sleep? Wakes up tonight 12.30, 2 and now.
My friend has just had a baby girl so there may be a new name on here soon!

Smallgreenone · 15/03/2013 04:44

Glad grandad in good spirits mrsn and getting better.

larlemucker · 15/03/2013 05:14

MrsN glad your grandad is doing ok and still laughing, he sounds like great fun!

We're up again, if MIL had just listened to me this aft and made him go back to sleep I think we would have had a much better night. He definitely sleeps better when he has had good naps!!
