Up again. Used calpol about an hour ago so going to have to cuddle this one out. Wish I could make him better Sad

goat sounds like a rubbish night. Hope kid settled...

larlemucker · 21/02/2013 04:23

Morning all, second feed here. Baby larle doing that wonderful thing of waking just as I'm dropping off Hmm
brain Shock at drs, that's really bad. I forget sometimes how lucky we are here. Drs receptionists know me by name, I'm not a hypochondriac btw!! Had the same dr since I was about 15 and always manage to get an appointment even if doc is running 45 mins late!!
pink sorry to hear about weight troubles, have you thought about calling the breast feeding support helpline? They may have some tips for you.
Right gonna watch some more one born and then attempt transfer.
Sleepy dust to all

ChilliBanana · 21/02/2013 05:15

Feed number 20 here - feels like it anyway. Just cursing myself as picked him up for a feed without trying to settle him as I was still half asleep, and halfway back to bed it dawned on me he was laying on his front which was probably why he was grizzling, not because he was hungry. Nevermind, he's feeding now anyway.

Brain I would complain to the practice manager if I were you, that's terrible service.

Goat ( I think it was you too tired to remember) it did make me laugh you leaving your door open, also made me feel slightly better as I keep forgetting to lock the car.

Pink I second the advice to call breast feeding support line, hopefully they will have some ideas for you.

Here's hoping for a universal lie in for babies this morning.

larlemucker · 21/02/2013 05:15

Second transfer fail Hmm

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 21/02/2013 05:18

brain that's terrible, poor you and babybrain. Shocking that they won't find an appt for a baby, hope you get one tomorrow.

goat hope you're getting lots of sleep by now.

pink :( for vomathon, hope all's better by morning. Remember bf babies don't always gain weight in the same way as ff, she might have a growth spurt next week and shoot up then.

Its freezing here, annoyed with myself for turning the plug in radiator off earlier as babylump's just woken up and its always impossible hard to get her back off again at this time.

She's singing now, not a good sign for transfer success!

Susieloo · 21/02/2013 05:26

Up again-wtf!??!!

MrsNPattz · 21/02/2013 06:30

This is little man's first feed, so he did prove me wrong!! He woke me at 5 banging on his mattress with his legs in his sleep, but I put Ewan on and he calmed down and I got a bit more sleep!

Heff that's good news about your sister!

Jemima glad things have been easier!

Pink poor little one, hope she is ok now. And I hope things sort themselves out with her weight.

Susie sorry for bad night!

larlemucker · 21/02/2013 06:58

Haven't been back to sleep since 2am, baby larle has.
Anyone want a dog? He is doing my head in, he howls whenever baby larle is crying. It's at such a pitch that it hurts your ears and not what I need at 6.30am after very little sleep HmmConfused

GoatBongosAnonymous · 21/02/2013 07:47

We're eventually up for the day at 4:20 Confused This seems to be turning into our witching hour.
larle have you ever seen the film Keeping Mum?...

Ameybee · 21/02/2013 08:12

Heff glad things improving with sis. Hope you're back is ok.

Susie, maybe his cold is making him thirsty? Babybee always has more feeds when he's breathing through his mouth.

Well our night was much better in comparison to night before! Bed at 7 bottle at 10, woke at 1 but easy resettle then bottle at 2 and through to 6 - co sleep till 7 as it was SO cold! Gro egg blue! Even tho its better than before I'm still a bit disheartened that we only get 3 & 4 hour stretches - I long for a 6 hour! always want more!

Ameybee · 21/02/2013 08:33

And goat 420 - ouch! Confused You have my sympathy! Hope DH lets you have a lie in! Xx

MrsNPattz · 21/02/2013 08:37

Our gro egg was blue too Amey!

I got another hour cause mum took him Grin

MissingMyMarbles · 21/02/2013 09:46

Feeding bang on 2 hourly stillHmm so tired! At least she transfers well but still.....
Seriously panicking about going back to work. Had thought that we'd be down to one night waking if any; she's 7+ months. Would love to see the 7 hour stretches we had before the 4month regression. Been pretty much like newborn since. Nothing seems to be working. I wonder too, if distraction and solids during the day, means she makes up for milk at night, despite me offering boob loads throughout the day. She'll ask and go on but then perhaps only suck really briefly before wanting to be off doing other stuff. I've done everything I can think if to get her to feed more in the day but its impossible to make her breastfeed unless she wants to.
DH did take her on the school run this morning so I got an extra, wait for it...40 minutesHmm And that was after I'd got up to get DD1 ready. Missmarbles, cheeky monkey has just had a bf in bed, as DH brought her up before going to his office, and fallen asleep, without breakfast (as we usually do that after dropping DD1 off) and nearly an hour earlier than normal nap time so not sure what's going on there. Lovely that she cuddles in thoughSmile
Bit rantyBlush
Going to have a very hot and long shower whole she sleeps. Hope everyone else has had better nights and has a lovely day. Will catch up later.

Susieloo · 21/02/2013 12:31

goat I hate the 4am day starts-they suck!!!

marbles sorry for the bad nights, babyloo was exactly the same until recently and like miss marbles he hit 4 months and we went backwards-what does miss marbles do in the day now? I'm debating getting a walker because babyloo won't sit and play anymore he just flips on to his tummy, can't go anywhere so gets cross, I go to put him back to sitting and he thinks I'm picking him up so then screams until I pick him up, was also thinking about a jump a roo but there expensive and big!! Also think he would grow out of it fairly soon. It's really frustrating being at home with him all day now but we can't go out every day.

Hope all who are sleep deprived have restful days, I'm already looking forward to getting in to bed when babyloo goes to bed!!

MissingMyMarbles · 21/02/2013 13:24

Susie, Missmarbles also is getting mad because she isn't crawling yet. She has quite a good rolling strategy to get where she wants to be, but gets really cross that she pushes herself backwards and therefore further away when she gets her bum of the deck!! I try and go for a walk every day if I can, but your right, you can't do exciting stuff every day.
How did you improve Babyloo's nights, or do I just have to wait for her to flick the switch?

larlemucker · 21/02/2013 13:32

Not goat haven't seen keeping mum, will it make me feel better not throttle the dog

Susieloo · 21/02/2013 15:29

Thank you marbles, I think it must be really frustrating for them. Babyloo's nights only improved when I stopped bf, I didn't know how long I planned to bf for but I just knew that whilst bf was on offer he was always going to prefer it to a bottle and when I left him a couple of times for most of the day he was only having about 30ml of formula and then having huge feeds from me when I got home. The nights then started to improve with either one waking or none being the norm although last night was a nightmare!! I went cold turkey which I also didn't know I was going to do but I tried to wean him off gradually and it took me 3.5 hours on the first day to get him to take a bottle and so I just decided to carry on! Sorry if that's not helpful, I'm not sure if he wakes less because he's not hungry or there's not as much comfort for him.

Susieloo · 21/02/2013 18:03

mrsn - I've just seen your tweet!!!!!!! Saw the name and thought it can't be the same person and it is-v cool of heat to rt.

GoatBongosAnonymous · 21/02/2013 18:27

larle it has a running theme about a barking dog that I thought of when I saw your post... Smile
marbles and susie we are in exactly the same boat re sleeping. Kid is not particularly interested in milk during the day now that he is weaning, so he drinks more at night. Is also frustrated that he can't walk or crawl (everyone else can walk, why can't he?!). He is up on all fours and rocking now, so that might not be long, but in the meantime, how to get rid of all that excess energy? Like you, really hoping that he sorts his sleeping by the time I go back to work. We have seven weeks.
susie he does love the jumperoo, which we got cheap on Ebay. What about a doorway swing for something that takes less room?
Here's hoping for blissfully uninterrupted nights all round...

MissingMyMarbles · 21/02/2013 18:38

On bedtime feed now. Naps have been ok today, although last one was on me and I had to wake her to collect DD1 from school.

Kind of chilly here tonight! Have turned the plug-in oil radiator up in Missmarbles room.

Goat I'm back to work in 5 weeks. Predominantly nights because I though it would mean she would miss less feeds Confused

MrsNPattz · 21/02/2013 19:30

Susie I didn't know they had until you said - how cool!! Haha and how funny you saw it!

Shattered here - no idea why! Little man is teething I think! Been grumpy the last few days. I think there may be one more feed before bed time.

Good luck for tonight girls!

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 21/02/2013 20:08

susie I'd love a jumperoo for babylump too, she's had a go in kid's and loved it, although she wasn't half as expert at it as he is! I'm watching a few on eBay locally but they all end up going for more than I can afford :(

larle what kind of dog have you got? We're dog-less at the moment and I really miss it all rose tinted glasses fogging memories of 5am walks in the rain hope we can get another once we've moved and settled down.

Ooh mrsn what was your tweet?

I'm doing the most relaxed bedtime routine for a while, we've popped over to see Grandad and I thought she can just kip in the buggy so doung a last feed in the dark on grandads totally wonderful posh mattress with a glass if champagne to keep me company Grin hope I won't pay for it later once we're back home.

larlemucker · 21/02/2013 20:32

heff the fluffy monster is either a shih try or a lahso apso or some combination!! He is a rescue so we're not sure of his breed and he has got "issues" so tbh we're lucky that all he is doing is howling. Thankfully he has got used to only having one walk a day!! Mind you he is a bit of an old man now!
goat will have to see if I can download that one from lovefilm!
Hoping for a better night tonight, whenever I have tried to have a nap today he has woken up just as I was dozing off!! Think he must hear my breathing change and god forbid mummy has some sleep!!

larlemucker · 21/02/2013 20:33

Sending sleepy dust to everyone and Wine

MrsNPattz · 21/02/2013 20:46
