Prob because I'd associate a stranger doing it out of a sexual preference, whereas I'd assume that a bio-father would not associate it with a sexual act, IYSWIM.

popsycalindisguise · 02/02/2006 11:03

I tasted it inadvertently

MissChief · 02/02/2006 11:04

we nearly had a cereal incident and yes have tasted my own - needed to know what meant to taste like so wd know if it was off. No harm in that at all, or for dh to taste (he has tried it from bottle too for same reason).. ON a spoon!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 02/02/2006 11:04

LOL

Hunker...

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 11:04

I have tasted my own, cheking the temp when reheating EBM bottles.

mummytosteven · 02/02/2006 11:04

Both me and DH tasted some expressed milk. Just the once, as we were curious as to what it actually tasted like.

Flamesparrow · 02/02/2006 11:08

I suppose technically I did, but not on purpose! I'd stopped B/feeding for a while, and we finally started getting a sex life back.... unfortunately DH discovered midway through that I apparantly could be encouraged to lactate again very easily .

welshboris · 02/02/2006 11:09

so he was weird then, thought so

Laura032004 · 02/02/2006 11:31

No, DH has never tried it. I've offered him some (from a bottle!), but he thought it was a horrible idea . I've tasted it (not supple enough to try it from source though!!!) - like milk with about 20 spoons of sugar in it!

Dh got a few drops once or twice during sex (he got the odd eyeful as well in the early days when I'd roll over in bed and the stuff would shoot out in a graceful arc and cover him, the cat, and anything else within spraying distance). It didn't bother either of us when it happened, but we would never have done it deliberately though.

NomDePlume · 02/02/2006 11:39

rofl, night-times were a living nightmare for me leaks-wise.

Helen38 · 02/02/2006 11:45

Am I the only sad person quietly giggling at the memory of the episode of friends with the breast milk?

LucyJu · 02/02/2006 11:50

I've tasted it myself out of curiosity (like melted vanilla ice-cream made from skimmed milk, I thought).
DH not even interested in tasting, much less in bf-ing. Let's face it, I bf my dd: I don't want this act to be in any way associated with some sexual act with dh (which it undoubtedly would be, if dh tried it). That really would make me feel uncomfortable.
Would anyone drink cows milk, btw, directly from the udder? I saw someone do this on TV a few of years ago and I thought it was revolting, although I do drink milk normally. On the other hand, people I was with couldn't see the problem..

Blondeinlondon · 02/02/2006 11:51

Yep! He had tried EBM before but wanted to try the real thing.

FrannyandZooey · 02/02/2006 11:58

Dp and I have both tried it but in the spirit of enquiry rather than as a sexual thing. Who cares what people do in the privacy of their own homes, though, it's not affecting the children is it?

I disliked expressing so only did it a few times, but once there was some left over and dp did put it on his cereal rather than throw it away! He does have a thing about wasted food, and really it was quite sweet he didn't want it thrown away: "It's good stuff, I don't want to waste it" he said

Mummyvicky · 02/02/2006 12:15

Ive tested a drop a couple of times, reminds me of watery ice cream !!
DH is absolutely paranoid that I'll sneak breast milk into his coffee....he always sniffs it first if I make him one !!
(and I've been tempted, but wouldn't !)

Carlk · 02/02/2006 12:16

Ok bloke here
I have tried EBM out of curiousity from a bottle not from source tho', sweet and nice but not my cup of tea
Cant really imagine it as a sexual act and I dont feel that hungry on the job IYSWIM.
if it happened by accident I dont think I'd freak, probably just focus my attention elswhere

dizietsma · 02/02/2006 17:26

DH and I both tasted some expressed milk, but I couldn't bring myself to let him breastfeed. He was willing to try, but for me it would've been too weird a mix of the maternal and sexual. That said, I think I've always felt quite ambivalent about my boobs and was pretty much unable to enjoy them in a sensual way until I met my DH, so I suspect I'm a bit uptight about it.

fastasleep · 02/02/2006 17:32

Me, it's a great cure for mastitis! Nothing sexual about it though...

Wordsmith · 02/02/2006 17:33

Crikey it was hard enough to get the milk out for the baby never mind wasting it on some big 40 something bloke who put me in that position in the first place!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!

Meanoldmummy · 02/02/2006 17:35

No, I asked him but he recoiled. He's not exactly Mr Adventurous, bless him

krabbiepatty · 02/02/2006 17:36

yuktastic

alexsmum · 02/02/2006 17:39

my let down used to be triggered by sexual arousal, and it used to mortify me. dh just used to focus his attention elsewhere!
can't imagine that ever being sexy.

fastasleep · 02/02/2006 17:41

Poor dh didn't enjoy it, feel I have to add that!
