"As if she hasn't got enough up heavel to worry about with out some old grandma shoving her boob in her face "

Actually this made me laugh out loud. You have a memporable way with words allie. Getting you lot's rendition of this programme is way better than watching it

Agree with others here, WHY did the twins mum wean them all at once? No wonder they were unhappy poor mites. I mean nobody weans in one go do they? Bet her boobs were so sore.
But anyway, for me, her problem was not to do with extended breastfeeding as much as giving a 2.5yo 20 feeds a day and feeding them to sleep.
Mum with the older girls who draw pix of her and DH feeds too I mean wtf?? PMSL
(I fed till 13 mo with ds2 btw. By then he wasn't really bothered, which is why I stopped.)

Everyone taking the micky cos I can't say a word is just plain mean.

Hulababy · 01/02/2006 21:47

I thought the DH who fed was the twin's dad???

RTKangaMummy · 01/02/2006 21:48

she is sooooooooooooooo strange this mad woman

Spidermama · 01/02/2006 21:48

I wonder why the twins had been feeding so often. Mine all tailed off which I would have thought would be more usual. This woman's experience sends out a worrying message to mums who want to carry on breastfeeding.

I have to say I fear for those sisters when they go to school tomorrow (if they go to school). If I were their mum I would never have gone public.

Flossam · 01/02/2006 21:49

No nutter 8 year old feeding woman.

wantedmyboobsback · 01/02/2006 21:49

clary i weaned in one go like that and it was only painful for a couple of days but no where near as bad as mastitus actually it was uncomfortable rather than painful and messy as i kept leaking everywhere

mumfor1standfinaltime · 01/02/2006 21:49

RTKangaMummy · 01/02/2006 21:49

Lockets I liked that "better than a mango" comment as well. Imagine that being a 10yo's biggest-ever treat. Sweet really. Clearly a bit knit yr own muesli tho, that family (apols to any muesli knitters out there!)

harpsichordcarrier · 01/02/2006 21:50

spidy they are home ed

Spidermama · 01/02/2006 21:50

The problem with this is that women will think their kids will definitely end up demanding breastmilk when they're twelve and ten. Not so. The vast majority will self-wean between 2 and 3 but these don't make for good telly.
