AIBU to feel a bit sorry for this newborn baby?

Just seen some pics of a new baby on Facebook - only a couple of weeks old. I counted at least two other family members aside from the Mother giving the baby it's bottle.

Surely in your first few weeks on this earth, it's not too much to ask to be snuggled safe with your mummy breastfeeding

tooearlymustdache · 13/01/2012 12:44

EauDeLaPoisson · 13/01/2012 12:45

Oh fgs get a grip! A baby being fed by people who love it? Its clearly doomed nob

Gigondas · 13/01/2012 12:45

Hmm judgy much? Am not Doing full ff v bf thing here but if you ff, one of advantages is others can help with feeding . And feeding is not only way of bonding or nurturing a child

WorraLiberty · 13/01/2012 12:45

Oh well it is Friday I suppose....

tooearlymustdache · 13/01/2012 12:46

and too early for bumsex or drinks...

theincredibequeenofwands · 13/01/2012 12:46

Do babies really care who feeds them?

Maybe the mum needed a few minutes rest?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 13/01/2012 12:46

Oh oh, that's the voice of doom.
FWIW my DD had her bottle (yes she was FF, kill me) from anyone. She is a prefectly sensible, sociable, loving 10.8 YO.

EauDeLaPoisson · 13/01/2012 12:46

Remember the saying..it takes a village to give a child a bottle raise a child

tooearlymustdache · 13/01/2012 12:46

how's it going Worra?

blackoutthesun · 13/01/2012 12:47

thepeoplesprincess · 13/01/2012 12:47

BF vs FF is so 2007.

SimoneD · 13/01/2012 12:47

Oh ffs - bore off

QuintessentiallyShallow · 13/01/2012 12:48

My 7 year old niece (now 16) gave my newborn a bottle, and begged her mum to take a photograph. It made her feel special. It is a lovely photo. I am sure my sister also gave baby a bottle, and I honestly dont think it has caused him any issues that lots of people wanted to care for him.

FoxyRevenger · 13/01/2012 12:48

You're an idiot.

Off you pop, now.

OnlyANinja · 13/01/2012 12:49

OP you are probably bitter as you are lacking in support and spent 24/7 with a baby attached to your norks seething with resentment

tooearlymustdache · 13/01/2012 12:50

can we have some more of those please pixiestix i've put the kettle on Grin

grubbalo · 13/01/2012 12:51

I have bf my 2 sons till they were over 12m. I am exclusively bf my 3 month old daughter. I have also had to spend a long time reassuring 2 friends who desperately wanted to bf their babies and couldn't (well maybe they could have persevered with a large detriment to their won well being) that feeding babies is a tiny bit of a baby's life and that they should stop beating themselves up.

BF is wonderful and fantastic if it goes well. It must be hard enough when you have stopped without really wanting to or because circumstances weren't ideal without reading posts like this.

Haziedoll · 13/01/2012 12:51

Oh do grow up.

RosieBooBoo · 13/01/2012 12:52

God what a bunch of bastards eh? Helping to feed a baby, what is the world coming to?

YABU

Stressymoo · 13/01/2012 12:52

Wow! Just another pointless BF v's bottle feeding thread! Every mum is well within her rights to feed either way as long as baby is full and healthy get over it! And move on

How original you are though! You must feel so proud to belittle other mum's with your nosey opinions!

Here dunk this is your breastmilk!
