I am switching back to my folic acid. If anyone wants my Pregnacare vits they are very welcome to them.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 18/07/2010 12:25

drom Quite unnecessary I'd say! The day the midwife sent me straight to hospital without passing go and without collecting 200 euros was the day we were due to sit & talk about plan. What I've learned about plans is that very few go to plan. Baby does what baby wants - and if you end up with an emcs then your Beethoven and scented candles can go to fuck. You don't need to be worrying at this stage about sneezing and baybee landing in fluffy white cotton!

Medee · 18/07/2010 12:51

Muse is no one else has claimed them, can I have your pregnacare, please? I am a bit worried I am not getting enough extra vitamins and minerals at the moment (though am of course taking my folic acid.)

I have my booking in tomorrow, looking forward to getting into the system.

CluckyKate · 18/07/2010 12:58

Boxer's quite right Iggs - I had a S&S after 2 hours off-roading with her & was 2cm. Sadly that's as far as it went and 2 days later everything had closed-up.....hey ho. Will have to stay out longer next time eh Box!

You can keep your Pregnacare Muser - bleurghhh.

Am feeling irked at the in-laws today. MrCK has taken DD to see them at their insistence (niggle no.1) - we're away for the next 4 weekends so have had to stay at home to get everything (dogs, cats, horses, packing etc.) organised and am feeling a bit teary & missing DD (niggle no.2)...must be these blimmin' hormones; they fed her sausages & rice - odd combination no? (niggle 3); insisted she sleeps in a travel cot...she doesn't & has been in a big-girl bed for months, cue screams from toddler who won't settle (niggle 4) and (niggle 5) they think 1/2 a piece of toast & some hummous will do for lunch. Arghhhhh.

Shame Pregnacare can't pack some mood-enhancers into their pills

On the plus side....won't have to see them again until September annnd scan on Wednesday. Yippee.

Muser · 18/07/2010 13:08

Msg me Medee and the vits are all yours.

FannyPriceless · 18/07/2010 13:09

Has 'dildocam' now entered the wider Mumsnet lexicon outside BESHville? See this thread posting at 12:50. ski - you get the credit! (But apparently usurped as best MN word by someone else coming up with 'minjury'.) SWI is now popping up everywhere too.

If casserole is lurking - first off, I loved the response you gave to your colleague about TTC - this is for anyone struggling with a MIL: 4.bp.blogspot.com/_a7jkcMVp5Vg/TEJYgujBJqI/AAAAAAAAMfg/awr77rSwnB0/s1600/Kathryn.jpg

SkiHorseWonAWean · 18/07/2010 13:19

fanny The bitterness of our ancient ovaries combined with latent alcoholism during our 20s gave rise to the BESH cynical wit.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 18/07/2010 13:21

But I ought to point out, I didn't coin dildocam - it was one of the other original BESHes - perhaps drom or cunty remember?

FannyPriceless · 18/07/2010 13:33

ski Latent? I think mine was actually rather active and evident to all!

iggypiggy · 18/07/2010 16:38

Is hot again innit...

Medee · 18/07/2010 19:54

Hello ladies. Not being a pet-owner, is there anything I need to know/ worry about meeting my friend's new puppy tomorrow?

CurlyCasperBaggedABairn · 18/07/2010 20:00

don't eat its poo

nah, as long as you wash hands etc as you would with any animal, it'll do you no harm. i'm just jealous you get to play with a puppy! have fun.

the only species i ever took seriously as a preggo worry was sheep.

Medee · 18/07/2010 20:03

thanks Casp - figured that was probably OK as long as I washed my hands.

Friend who just had a baby lives on a sheep farm - she had to be really careful when they had a mysterious illness causing lambs to be stillborn.

rollerbaby · 18/07/2010 20:25

Medee my dog licks it's willy and then tries to lick me, and so far no lasting damage.

Iggy sending you beshy vibes for a lovely sneeze later this week.... so excited for you to finally meet your baba.

Have had a busy but lovely weekend with friends. Mr Moo has been ace today and totally cleaned up (to my virgoan statisfaction) and sorted all washing. I heart him.

Muser · 18/07/2010 21:19

I have decided to have a little freak out about my scan tomorrow. Violence pliz.

Medee · 18/07/2010 21:22
Muser · 18/07/2010 21:29

Cheers Medee.

Medee · 18/07/2010 21:31

I'd love to say all the reassuring things, and I really do believe everything will be fine, but I know you won't believe me. So, I'll add a chinese burn into the mix.

Muser · 18/07/2010 21:36

I've been assuming everything will be fine, so of course now I have last minute "oh god, I've tempted fate" fears.

In other news. I would quite like MrM's family to stop hinting that we ought to move North now. I am not leaving London. I don't care if we have to put the baby in a drawer because the flat is so tiny.

rollerbaby · 18/07/2010 21:44

muser I'd like to add a violent knicker wedgy you silly caaaaahhhh.

OkieCokie · 18/07/2010 21:58

Just to add my slap round the face with a wet fish to muser. Also there is no way I would move anywhere at the request of my in laws. If it was MY parents then that would be another matter.

Muser · 18/07/2010 22:03

My in-laws are all lovely though. I'd rather live near them than my mum, much as I love my mum she drives me crazy.

OkieCokie · 18/07/2010 22:30

Hairy muff!
