Muser · 13/07/2010 19:18

I have so many internet wrongmos as friends that a few more hopefully isn't noticeable. I certainly never notice my friends' friends.

Medee · 13/07/2010 19:46

how have you been feeling today, Muse, since the shower incident?

Muser · 13/07/2010 19:57

Mostly sick, with occasional moments of dry heaving. I am going to try and find some anti-nausea bands tomorrow in the hope they might help.

Muser · 13/07/2010 19:57

How about you Medee? Any symptoms kicking in?

rollerbaby · 13/07/2010 20:00

Hello, yes book still available - so it's all yours Muse. Are you going to join the RL peshies on t'other place? You can send me your address then and I'll whack it in the post tomorrow...

Muser · 13/07/2010 20:02

I am there already! Will track you down.

Medee · 13/07/2010 20:14

oh dear, that doesn't sound great.

So far, other than the indigestion, and a slight, ahem, irregularity of my digestive system, not much. I definitely feel pregnant though.

Medee · 13/07/2010 20:21

Ladies, how likely am I to get my scan at 12 weeks? I calculate it will either be the third or fourth week in August (depending on when they calculate it from (being of long cycle). Any later and it runs the risk of clashing with either an offsite residential training course, or my holiday, or month end.

Muser · 13/07/2010 20:24

I have my scan date already and it's 12 weeks exactly.

rollerbaby · 13/07/2010 20:26

I think you can have it from 11 until 14 weeks so I would fit it around your course if you need to...

muser off to find you there now!

Medee · 13/07/2010 20:46

Thanks Muse and Honey, that fills me with hope. Shall go double check on my local thread to see what the experience here has been too.

OkieCokie · 13/07/2010 20:48

Yes tis very quiet in here. Missed 2 days and it took only 10 mins to catch up, usually it takes me half a day! Plessed to hear newly diffed are feeling suitable shite - tis good! And many congratulations to Wit on the girl!!

Re odd shaped head I think there is some truth in the lying on back thing. Mini C has a odd shaped head and we see paed specialist every 6 months to monitor progress (it's called Plagiocephaly to give it it's proper name aka flat head syndrome). They measure around his head and check the shape of his head does not affect the development of his brian, balance and features (i.e. eyes and ears being wonky and out of line - which they are not!) but to be honest it is fine - it just looks a bit odd when his hair is wet so it is just a cosmetic issue and nothing more serious! Dr thinks he may have pulled muscle in neck on exit which mean in early months he tended to sleep in the same position resulting in a flat bit towards the side and at the back - bad mother did not notice! It is pretty common though. Thankfully he has a full head of hair (and always has) and baldness does not run down the maternal line!!!

I would advise tummy time as early as poss, it also helps strengthen neck muscles and increases their ability to sit unaided quicker.

Like FP we use top of chest of draws for changing needs. I have nener used floor, more painful for me and as yet no falling off draws!

Medee · 13/07/2010 20:49

I like the idea of using the top of the chest of drawers - means less upheaval in our spare room.

OkieCokie · 13/07/2010 20:58

Oh, I has new friends in t'other place

SilverSky · 13/07/2010 21:06

muser oh no!!!! Not sure you can delete his post, only his comments on one of your posts. Call him and demand he take it down and its not his news to tell.

Today a girl at work told me she didn't know I was pregnant but she thought I had had a boob job instead!!!

Muser · 13/07/2010 21:09

You can delete posts on your wall silver, I have done it. It is history and forgotten.

CluckyKate · 13/07/2010 21:42

Medee is you a numbers laydee too???
I called to book my scan at the earliest opportunity as needed it to fall in a particular week, for much the same reasons as you, and got one for 8:45am at bang on 12 weeks.
Am hoping that being the first appointment of the day means it won't be running late so can get to my desk pronto, although shirking for 1/2 a day holds a lot of appeal too (these things always run late, don't they???)

Medee · 13/07/2010 21:45

Did the mention of month end give it away?! Yes, am a bean-counter. My holiday is booked for the one of only 4 months a year when I can take a full fortnight's leave, so am loathe to have to give some of it up (tho obv this is v important).

OkieCokie · 13/07/2010 21:52

I have committed to watching "The Silence" four part thing on BBC and it is pissing me off, but as I have invested 2 nights to it I feel compelled to carry on, although it is really pissing me off...

Medee · 13/07/2010 21:56

give it up, Okie, life is too short to waste on things you don't enjoy.

rollerbaby · 13/07/2010 22:04

why is it pissing you off? I fink it's quite good!! But then mr moo tells me I have shit taste in TV so doesn't say much. She is a bit duh though.

OkieCokie · 13/07/2010 22:15

It is going too slow for me, and she needs a good shake ffs! And he flys off the handle too much.

SilverSky · 13/07/2010 22:29

Doh ! Sorry muse I misunderstood. I fort he had put it as his status. Hence my useless advice.

okie I tried to watch it last night and it got on my wick so am taping it instead.

rollerbaby · 13/07/2010 22:30

Are you watching mitchell and webb? I just weed myself a bit again.

Backinthebox · 13/07/2010 23:20

I have sold big horse. Wah! Had a little sit on him though before he goes tomorrow. I am sure I could have gone for a canter on him! But was not permitted to leave the vicinity of the back garden. For my own good, apparently.
