Greenwich / Blackheath Nov 2010 mums to be

londonbump · 19/06/2010 14:53

Hi,

My first child is due in Nov and I live in Greenwich. I would love to get together with some other local mums to be maybe compare bumps, pregnancy and chat over a coffee?

Anyone else locally due this Autumn?

xx

hi all, I was in the pub on a Monday night a couple of weeks ago meeting a friend for a drink and the quiz happens down the back end of the pub. However am happy for any alternate venue such as Zero degrees or pizza express (does anyone have a voucher for pizza express? They often have 2 4 1 offers on)

FlorCampestre · 06/08/2010 15:32

Hello girls! Hope you are all well?

Just to make things more complicated, how about O'Neill's? (52 Tranquil Vale, Blackheath, London, SE3 0BH)

www.oneills.co.uk/oneillsblackheath/findus/

They have a lovely menu and, for the ones who don't fancy any food (which will probably be my case!), can just chill with a (non-alcoholic!) drink. What do you think?

Anyway, just a suggestion as we had pizza last time and a change of scene would be nice!

Have a great weekend everyone and hopefully see you soon! Flor x

Stickhasgrownup · 06/08/2010 17:44

If quiz isn't a problem... thats fine... I was just worried as in some pubs they rather take over the place!

So The Railway or O'Neills?
As Flor said a pub may be better if not everyone is eating (although I will be!) Grin

Hi Everyone

Just come online to hear the news of the next catch up. Really excited to be able to finally meet everyone.
I can definitely make Monday night. Happy to do either pub.
See you then.

Need to make a decition on venue... so which pub has the best parking opportunities near it? Smile

tamcam · 08/08/2010 19:08

The nearest parking to both pubs is the car park by the post office and behind the library.
By pure geography the Railway (very marginally!!) is the closest if that helps

Good morning ladies

Stickhasgrownup · 10/08/2010 21:18

Hi all,

Congratulations to Flor on the birth of her little boy, as the rest of us sat in the pub!

I can't make the 25th as I'm on holiday that week.
Also I imagine I may be otherwise occupied the following week! So, for me, I just have next week left! Could do another daytime coffee if anyone whos not working fancies it?
Let me know,
Stickx

londonbump · 11/08/2010 12:09

Stick - sorry I totally forgot about your holiday. I can do Tuesday or Thursday nxt week in the day?

Lets still go for 25th as well for those who are at work - could do the Vanbrugh in Greenwich? thevanbrughtavern.co.uk/index.html

It is nxt to maze hill stn for people that get the train or are heading this way from London Bridge and the 386 from Blackheath village passes it. 2hrs free parking on the street locally to. It is just a local pub near me but food pretty good - and cheap (2 courses for £10 mon - thurs)!

Or anywhere else - the new brewery in Greenwich? The hill in West Greenwich? anywhere Blackheath / Greenwich really, I don't mind.

Flor - fantastic news, HUGE cogratulations. Hope we can catch up soon. xxxx

hi Londonbump

The vanbrugh is great. But if it is easier for other anywhere else, I'm happy to meet elsewhere.

Flor - I have not met you but Felicidades!

See you soon everyone.

Stickhasgrownup · 11/08/2010 19:54

londonbump - I could possibly do next Tuesday at some point. I take the kids swimming in the morning and have a hair appointment at 2.30, but could do an hour or so before that. Maybe 12.30?
Does that suit you?
Does anyone else want to join us? I imagine we'll meet in Greenwich park or similar.

Stickhasgrownup · 12/08/2010 19:47

Hi all,
Flor has asked for me to update you all as she's not had a chance to get onto the web!

Her little boy is called Lorenz and was a healthy weight at 3.95 kilos (8lbs 7oz).
She says she has just fallen so in love with him. Grin

Anyway she hopes to catch up with everyone soon.

Hello

Hope I might be able to squeeze into your group and meet up perhaps?

I'm in Plumstead and due 8th October with my second (first born is 4.5 years old). Haven't signed up with any NCT groups or such like this time around and as I'm fairly new to Plumstead (and spend most of my time escaping to Greenwich anyway!) it would be great to meet up with any new mums in the area...

x

Beaurevage · 16/08/2010 14:06

Hi all

Wondering if I could squeeze into your group as well?

I'm still very early days - not due till March - living in Greenwich/Blackheath and would love to meet up with some new/expectant mums in the area.

I know the Van well and would love to join in the evening of the 25th if that's still open?

Cheers
R

londonbump · 16/08/2010 18:17

Welcome ladies Grin!
Of course it is! The more the merrier. It would be great to see you both there. You'll recognise the rest of us by the bumps!

Anyone else in for 25th?

Lets do Vanbrugh then. 7:30?

I'll book a table so people can eat if they want when I know numbers.

Hope you are all well,
Xx

Fantastic - it's in my diary. Will have to sort out babysitting of course but cross fingers should be straightforward. Look forward to it!

Beaurevage · 17/08/2010 10:25

Super! Look forward to meeting everyone.
