Hi,

My first child is due in Nov and I live in Greenwich. I would love to get together with some other local mums to be maybe compare bumps, pregnancy and chat over a coffee?

Anyone else locally due this Autumn?

xx

Hi ladies,

I stumbled upon your group yesterday, I'm due end of Oct with No. 2 and live in Blackheath.

Wont be able to make it Thurs evening but would love to come along to another meet-up with you in the future.

Hope you have a lovely time on Thurs and hope to meet you soon x

Stickhasgrownup · 13/07/2010 12:57

Welcome clanna ! Its a shame that you can't make it on Thurs. I think some of us are going to try the Aquanatal Class at the Arches next Thurs if you want to come to that? Otherwise we'll let you know of next less athletic meetup!

I've been to bluewater today and got my new maternity swimsuit so no excuse now not to try aquanatal!
Its seems sad that blooming marvellous are closeing down, but there are some good bargains...especially for those of you who know the sex of your baby. May go back and look at nursing bras there... but didn't have the energy having tried on costumes today!
See you all Thursday

FlorCampestre · 13/07/2010 14:49

Hello girls! Sorry I have been away for a few days and didn't follow our thread for a while. It looks like we have new joiners! Great! Welcome all!

My belly is getting quite heavy now and - although I LOVE exercising - I have completely stopped now, to take it easy during the final stages of my pregnancy. Apparently the baby is due at any time from now. How scary!
I definitely want to resume my activities (specially Pilates) after the baby is born. Can't wait to get some tips from you ref gym classes, etc

Looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday and exchange ideas, information, useful tips, etc etc etc. How great!

Let's look for Mary Edwards then. I found it quite funny! I know the manager from Zerodegrees (an Italian guy). I am sure he would have been happy to book a table under the name of Londonbump!

I just hope I can have a bite to eat as I can't really face much at the moment. Their pizzas are really delicious!

Hope you are all well, not struggling too much with back pains or any other bad symptoms!

Clann, please do stay in contact! I am also from Blackheath - and who knows, we might be neighbours!!

Take it easy all and see you soon! xx

coraliecherrett · 13/07/2010 18:05

How exciting

londonbump · 13/07/2010 19:22

Fab! We are doing well!! Lots of lovely bumps to meet on Thursday!

I also found booking under a fake name hilarious - although took awhile to come up with the name. Mind went blank!

The table is booked to seat between 8 and 10 so i'm sure it won't be a problem!

Looking forward to the pizza already!!
Yum!

I know this is a little early for some of us but has anyone picked out a pram/travel system? DH and I were looking at them / pricing up in Bluewater on Saturday and I was wondering what others have got or are going for?

Hi Tamcam... have added you to our list

londonbump No advice from me on a travel system as I'm going to try and make do with what I have. Points to consider are:

  • Swivel wheels (or you have to go everywhere in a straight line)
  • Do you want a car seat attachment option? I do... in which case you might want to get one that also comes with an in car base for ease when you're out and about.
  • Decent shopping basket underneath.
  • Not too huge!
To be honest whatever you buy you'll prob end up with a maclaren in addition as sometimes you just want something small and easy... more so 6 m plus.

See you tomorrow!

londonbump · 14/07/2010 16:18

Hi Tamcam - we will def be arranging other coffes/gossips/dinners so watch this space! If you are interested some of us are thinking of trying Aquanatal at the arches next Thursday night.

stickhasgrownup - i'm looking at baby jogger city select, icandy peach and bugaboo at the moment but obviously could all change!! Def want a car seat attachment + base so easy to move from car to pram to house without doing / undoing seatbelts everytime (just want to click it in!)

See all you ladies tomorrow x

Hi I am also an Eltham Mum/to be and would love to join you on your next get together! I am not due until February so it's very early days, and I already have a 2.5 year old.

Londonbump - I am a bugaboo devotee, love it, and can't wait to get it out and dust it down for baby number 2! We switched to a Maclaren for ease at about 1.5years, but love the bugaboo.

Hope to meet you all at some point!

FingonTheValiant · 16/07/2010 08:52

It was great to meet you all (or almost all of you) last night. I'm really looking forward to the aquanatal trip next week.

Have a great weekend everyone

FlorCampestre · 16/07/2010 09:30

Hi girls! Yes, it was lovely to meet you all!
My friend had a great time too! I hope we can organise more gatherings like that.

I hope at some point I can organise something in my place (specially now that I cannot travel too far...)

I will wait for the e-mail to be sent by "Mary Edwards" and let's stay in touch!

I hope your evening ended well. Really a shame I left earlier but I'm glad I left when I did as, by the time I got home, I was in real pain!

Enjoy the aqua classes and I hope I can join you in the next couple of months or so.

Have a great day for now! xx

londonbump · 16/07/2010 11:53

Hi,

Last night was much fun!! So lovely to meet you all. Those of us who were able to make it you should have received my email by now of contacts etc. If you haven't it is because I got / typed your email wrong so send me a message here and I'll send it out again (Sorry if that is the case!)

Anyone who couldn't make it last night or is keen to meet up I think the plan is to go to Aqua natal at the Arches next Thursday at 7pm and then go for a drink or something afterwards. (I may need to eat afterwards, my body isn't used to exercise!!)

Keep in touch ladies!
xx

It was great to meet so many of you on Thursday... yummy food too!
Looking forward to trying Aquanatal next week. Seems a fair few of us are braving the exercise too!
If anyone wants to meet up, but cannot make the Aquanatal, just let us know. We could always meet for coffee or another pizza! Suggestions welcome
