I only heard about it from what ski said. The ginhaggy news, that is. Ski - do you have definite word on this? If so I will do the nekkid dancing (post op belly wobble included for free).

twinks all fingers and toes crossed. If it's any hope, BESHes have come through worse signs than this - refer skaterr.

Thanks for thoughts on my boy. His breathing currently sounds like Darth Vader crossed with an asthmatic piglet. I am holding him 24 hours a day. I thought you were supposed to worry less with the second one.
(Is nice to hold him though. Did you know babies are really sweet and have amazing soft skin?)

rots · 20/06/2010 12:37

fanny poor little mite. Is there anything they can do like a sort of lightweight physio (if that makes any sense, ie some kind of tapping his back to help clear the lungs)??

Def want a photo of hideous pegasus thing. Although I've seen it - amazingly it's only just down the road from me, next to the New York film set and adjacent to the Golden Gate Bridge. In fact, it's not a pegasus but an elderly woman sprayed silver. I was surprised to find how close to me you lived (only 5 mintues' walk). Or maybe it's another of those preggo dreams?

salty hi!!

twinkle I had nasty cramping (almost worse than normal period pain) as well as spotting. No question in my mind I was starting my period, but it stopped within a day. Obviously there's no way to reassure you as while it could be implantation, it may not be, but the point is that the cramping isn't necessarily a bad sign. You could check with the EPU but I suspect that 4 weeks is too early to see anything. I've got everything crossed for you my dear

Hmm, twink, face doesn't quite mean what I meant. More, emoticon.

The ginhag news is very true indeed. Much nekkid jiggling in BESHland! Such good news

saltyair · 20/06/2010 14:58

Well thanking you very kindly for the naked dancing, and that is a lovely ankle, too.

CUNextTuesday · 20/06/2010 15:37

cas, yes hanging in there, although laborious progress around B&Q (to get the trellis of course!) indicates that Rastus is once more engaged. Doula back today thank god.

Have been feeling strange, is the only way I can describe it. Not normal. Quite churny, bit wobbly, unsettled. Weird inside. Reckon we're on for midweek . Meantime I might have a kip.

CurlyCasper · 20/06/2010 16:44

well, as long as you got the trellis cuntster, that's what matters. I shall be tuned for more developments all week, seeing as I am otherwise unemployed. I am liking maternity leave - guess this is what a baby's life is like: sleep, eat, shit and nought much else. Although I am rather enjoying this baking malarky. Good job I won't have time when the baby comes. I don't think four cupcakes a day (and the rest) is conducive to losing the extra weight...

Off to hunt the Bero book/internet for my next culinary challenge!

rots · 20/06/2010 19:23

Ooooh I'm betting on tonight/tomorrow for cunty

Nice day today. There's a circus in town so we took LC to it. Had a couple of excellent acts (brilliant juggler and very good trapeze girl) mixed with some average ones. They had - unusually for circuses now - "exotic animals", specifically two zebra and a camel but they seemed to be extremely well looked after so I didn't feel too . They did camel rides for the kids which LC partook of, and officially has now done something mummy and daddy haven't done, so he's very proud.

LC had a late night last night (about 8.15 lights out) and from after the circus onwards has been very typical boy - loud, bouncing off walls, recalcitrant. Tis very interesting how less sleep than normal affects him very badly. Has been hard work getting him to bedtime, and have cheated slightly by pushing his bedroom clock on a bit!

7 working days of work left now - or 8 if I can't get cover for a day where my parents are competing. Ready to stop. I really enjoyed Friday, just pottering doing stuff.

Birth pool is here and inflated and we're planning stuff like lighting and music. I want to try to see if we actually have some fluffy towels left, otherwise I'm going to buy some nice new ones for when he's born. I want something really soft for his skin - conscious that he's never had anything touching his skin.

I am getting very excited about meeting my new little one!

SilverSky · 20/06/2010 19:41

Pps

Backinthebox · 20/06/2010 20:35

Hello to Salty! I happen to be very fond of sand dunes and saltyair, with quaint little villages here and there - 'twas my visualization soundtrack when I was in labour last time, and very effective it was at combating contraction pain when combined with thoughts of beaches, palm trees and cold, cold beer.

FP we need pics of the pegasus thing. It sounds truly herrendous. Hope your baybee is rattling a bit less soon - I can't see how you would worry less about a second one though, just slightly different worrying. BTW did you feel like superwoman once the weight was gone? Or are you still wating for that feeling to kick in?

Cunty tomowrrow is a very auspicious day - go for it! Remember what we told you to have for supper tonight

Today I am sunburnt and knackered. Have been to horse show, as I decided that if noone wants to buy big horse I may as well have a little fun with him myself. I scrubbed and plaited, then watched in despair as he rolled straight away, and did it all again this morning. Put my helper outer girl up on him ans slapped his backside as he went into the ring. I haven't shown him for over 2 years, and bugger me if he didn't win - yay! He did another class and came second, and by that time I was well and truly crispy fired and worn out, so DD and I have spent the last couple of hours cuddled up together snoozing.

FannyPriceless · 20/06/2010 21:30

boxy Yes, I really will try to get a photo of Pegasus somehow. Tomorrow I have a very down-to-earth horsey friend coming over and I'm so looking forward to screaming with laughter with her over it! And yes, I do feel like Superwoman! I am doing much more than I'm supposed to just because I can't believe I feel so good. The best moment was actually during the op when I felt the pressure suddenly come off my rib cage - bliss.
P.S. Well done big horse!

rots I have ridden a camel. On the sand dunes in Turkey.

SilverSky · 20/06/2010 21:47

Yay for big 'OSS.

You should have clipped out "for sale" on his butt !

OkieCokie · 20/06/2010 21:55

Welcome Salty and congratulations on recent diffment, here have this bottle of port and this extremely ripe brie for celebratory purposed.

In in laws have just gone and hardly lifted a finger all afternoon. Actually, I tell a lie, a finger was lifted as they are on hands aren't they and these were lifted to read the paper . My back is killing me - I blame the mountain of washing up!

Off to bed now, big week ahead work wise although only for two days and then on hols!

skihorse · 21/06/2010 07:35

rots I too have ridden a camel in Turkey. I was very paranoid about syphilis though. Or is that an urbun myth?

silver Well done on surviving the BBQ. As for nobody noticing - well, I told ya all last week I ran in to a girl from my old stables, I stood sideways on in a semi-fitted vest top with my hand on my bump and I actually had to say "DUE NEXT MONTH"! This is of course in addition to the psychic who didn't realise when I was stood in front of her at 28 weeks. I want people to make allowances for me dammit! There was a woman in IKEA on friday with 3 kids and she was fucking enormous - tiny under the boobs then whazooom - she even went out sideways. Twinz? 58 weeks pregnant?

cunty Haz you laid one yet?

boxer Indeed, you should've hung a sign around his neck.

okie You should've told them to cock off - miserable twats.

I got a text message from my dad last night - opened it with "Bad news" and I thought oh jesus, someone's died and I'll never be allowed to fly to canada at this stage for a funeral. Turns out bad news in my dad's eyes = put his back out and can't go to Spain to play golf.

PollyPoo · 21/06/2010 08:31

Cunty where are you? Have you laid a baybee yet?

CUNextTuesday · 21/06/2010 09:17

No No No, am slurping quality coffee and munching on Start, just taken the recycling out and am waiting for an Argos delivery of Rastus's chest of drawers.

I PROMISE I will let ski know as SOON as something starts up regular like. Wouldn't leave me bleedin PESHies in the dark would I?!

Meanwhile it's going to be lush weather today so I'm waiting for it to warm up, then I'll be out in the garden with my book and I might have a cheeky half glass of icy Viognier which is left over from the weekend

PollyPoo · 21/06/2010 09:22

Phew... had a funny feeling last night it was all going to kick off for you Cunty. I too will be in the garden with my book today. Although chances of actually being able to read are slim to none, what with demands for ice lollies, sandcastles, 'help' etc. Enjoy the peace while you can Cunty.

laurielou · 21/06/2010 09:35

Morning PESH's.

cunty pliz to be getting a move on, am tres excited for you . Glad to hear you sound well.

Hope everyone else is OK too.

Champagne & strawberries all round.........

CUNextTuesday · 21/06/2010 09:43

But but, in order to get a move on I would have to curtail this luxury ML lifestyle

Am fine as I am just for now

skihorse · 21/06/2010 09:47

Oooh champagne & strawberries. Nom nom!

Why is maternity-tv so shit? Srsly? Wimblebore, football & masters. Wot no Badminton/winter Olympics?

skihorse · 21/06/2010 09:52

Btw silver, I think we just get used to their antics, Julian has woken his father up at night before by kicking him so violently - yet once I'm asleep I'm dead to the world.

cunty You must be so relieved the doula's back in town!

CUNextTuesday · 21/06/2010 09:52

On the plus side though, it looks like I'm going to have to pay an extra 3.5% a month into my pension to keep it 'Gold Plated' (c)Daily Mail, and I'll have another 1% added to my NI contribution, along with losing any child benefit I may have been entitled to, and having VAT go up to 20%, Hom will be massively losing out under new rules on how tax is recouped from small business Directors so he'll have to pay bundles more tax. We are officially going to be Flat Broke, and I may have to go back to work before my ML full pay switches to SMP . Whereupon I will have my Childcare Voucher Scheme removed because I earn too much, and my opportunities for flexible working on compressed hours (i.e. all my contracted hours over 4 days instead of 5 so that I don't have to cough up for a full week's worth of childcare) will be removed. Because if you work for the public setor you really do have it too good in life.

Honestly. WHAT is the incentive for working hard to make something of yourself??

Backinthebox · 21/06/2010 09:56

Ski Hickstead Derby meeting on Sky this week. BBC have dropped their coverage of it - bastards!

Backinthebox · 21/06/2010 10:01

Cunty OH is one of those nasty consultants that the new government was first to get rid of. He is currently taking part in the mad scramble for a private sector job that is going on among consultants. Yes, he earns a lot of money per day, but that is so he can save up for the times the government drops him as an employee like a hot potato because it doesn't suit them any more. Which is about twice a year . Last month they told him on a Friday they didn't want him in any more, then at 6.15pm they rang and asked him if he would come back, for a bit, before dropping him again. It's like a roller coaster ride in this household atm! And my employer won't have me back any more than 50% because the stupid bloody dollies are financially crippling us in between the worst snow for 30 years and a volcano!
