Fanks for welcome back PESHlets

reggie sounds like you've had a rubbish time - but you do sound v. positive and like you have a plan - which is good innit.

okie I iz not bronzed sadly.... was nice and sunny tho! I randomly have sicky days every once in a while - I always assume there is some kind of hormone surge doing its thing... eating usually helps

I am up for day in park

caspy yay for last week tho!!!

Fanny bollocks to him - I say.

reginaMonologue · 24/05/2010 13:03

fanny I don't think you're being unreasonable... in your situation my sign would say:-

F*ck off all ye who trespass here!orBeware of pregnant lady on crutches, she bites

But I like your candour .

PollyPoo · 24/05/2010 14:18

Welcome back Iggy, where did you go on hols?

CurlyCasper · 25/05/2010 06:39

Quite disturbing

iggypiggy · 25/05/2010 07:02

I haz been to France. Was lovely!

poo I love you

Off for blood test and scan now. No reason, just part of the package!

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 25/05/2010 09:04

Thanks for sharing that heart-warming story Curly. Something new to worry about!

Welcome back iggy - good luck for your scan this morning. Hope it's lovely.

Fanny I really really like your sign. Just the right passive-agressive note! Delighted for you about the good outcome on the legal stuff as well! It's fantastic news. Worth pursuing these things to the bitter end, despite how awful it must have been at times.

Ski hope you had a lovely lazy bank holiday weekend in the sun. I know I did!

reggie glad to hear you in better form! Sounds like you have got a good handle on things.

skihorse · 25/05/2010 09:15

reggie You sound well in control again - congrats with it all - you will be OK!

switty It was gloriously hot here yesterday - I went to the stables to take a friend's daughter riding for the first time on a miniature Shetland - she'd sat on Ginger (my horse) for the first time on saturday. As these things happen, I'd just sat down when she fell off! ... so rather than putting my feet up I had to lead the pony around in the sweltering heat through the sand whilst mum held on to her. Enjoyable but knackering too.

Just been to collect the dogs. Off to the midwife in an hour or so for my regular check up. This time I need to produce a wee sample so did that at 5am - it was cloudy at the time - which I'm sure can't be good but... I feel OK.

iggy Glad to see you back - nobody does BUMSEX like you!

fanny Set phasers to kill? I was also very pleased to read about your successful resolution to your court case. I should hear back about mine within a month now - fuck knows which way it'll go - I've been told it's in the bag unless the judge is corrupt.

silver I notice you didn't join our fb group.

curly You sound totally in control of everything too - how are you doing with the arthritis et al?

skihorse · 25/05/2010 09:37

Wow. I can honestly say I'm "shaken" by some nastiness - have posted in other place.

You're a mean girl Cadey.

SilverSky · 25/05/2010 09:57

niegenag haz not joined as not been on laptop as yet and think I haz sent it to an early grave - death by lemon squash. Hopefully tis ok. Fear not we also haz proper pc, so I will hunt you down find your lovely fb group soon.

CurlyCasper · 25/05/2010 10:16

Please to be seeing the BESH fred: diffment confirmed within hours of RL meet-up!

SilverSky · 25/05/2010 10:24

cas I read that yesterday !! Seriously !! Accidents happen I know but that is just not on!

CurlyCasper · 25/05/2010 10:24

ski

I'm ok, despite being all a-hobble. Hips are pretty buggered, but I'm not caring much any more as the big rest approaches. Thanks for the concern though!

Have to go offline most of today, because someone else will have my PC. Catch up tonight though.

rollerbaby · 25/05/2010 11:42

Girls soz I need to catch up wiv fred properly. HAve been too hot and wiped out to type. Today violently ill. Did any of you guys have sickess at 17 weeks? Ski you are exempt from answering this question!

OP posts:
skihorse · 25/05/2010 11:50

haha honey!

I'm just back from MW - pee test = passed, iron test = past, bp = passed (but higher than normal ), Julian hb = passed, Julian position = passed.

Also felt brave enough to ask MW when she's due - only 6 weeks after me (she's 26 weeks). Last time I saw her she was 20 weeks (saw the other one last time) and we weren't sure and the last thing you want to do is upset someone... so we'd not said anything. I hope Julesbert isn't late and her's early... I need my MW helping me - no clutching her back - although this could explain the student midwives... although the students are shy about speaking English so it could well end up being my favourite MW who comes. All very odd timing though - as fave MW is due to go on holiday to Scotland when diffed MW is due... who will deliver all the Dutch baybees?

Poor curly. You must be glad you've not got to drag yourself in to work though after this week. Are you able to do any exercise at all? e.g., swimming.

In horsey news - I've just had a very nice chat with a man whom I hope can start trimming my hoss's feet very well. I like the man who has been doing them but I don't think he's good... and I hate having to be in this position where I say "thanks, but no thanks" - especially as his wife/partner is a bf expert.

Cosmosis · 25/05/2010 12:43

Why, why do people feel the need to tell you about their 3 day labour ending in c-section? or their 11lb baby, or how the pain was so bad they never had another child?

Why???? I DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

skihorse · 25/05/2010 12:54

cossie Oh they're just making it up, it's a true fact that labour (if you can call it that pah!) actually only lasts for approx 40 minutes and then you sneeze.

Haz occurred to me that I can play the high BMI card if I'm struggling - I honestly can't see them letting me struggle for over 20 hours - I shall demand a sun-roof. You should play the low BMI card!

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 25/05/2010 12:59

Ahh - sorry the hips are getting you down poor curly. That sucks. Would swimming be good as Ski suggests? I am trying to get in the habit of it and well, it's certainly nice exercise. I like it anyway and follow it up with a bout of ravenous hunger immediately followed by coma-like sleep. So I figure it's doing me some good

Wonderful news for Alice - I'm just so happy for her. Hope we do see her over here - I found your PESH support so fab in the uncertainty of the first weeks (madness induced by spotting, interest evinced in very early scans that are perhaps in all honesty not that interesting, etc. etc. ).

Cos I don't know either, but as day follows night, now that I have revealed diffment, those stories are being trotted out. I've even had a few tentative swipes in tthe direction of my still basically non-existant bump...

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 25/05/2010 13:06

Hi ladies - am terribly behind the times so trying to catch up, but in the meantime have some pokes in the eyes and runny eggs.

Asparagus season without soft-poached-eggs or hollandais sauce is like torture.

Do the BESHes hate us all now too? We don't seem to get graduates any more. Or am I behind the times with Wee and Poo? Hope Alice braves it despite the dire warnings.

Cosmosis · 25/05/2010 13:12

Oh lordy eat a soft poached egg, I refuse to not eat them, there is no point in an egg that has no soft yolk.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 25/05/2010 13:16

I do try - but made the mistake of telling my personal chef that there were some Rules about what I can eat (I think so that I would have an excuse not to eat something I didn't like - boy, that backfired) and now he's a bit fussy. And I'm too lazy to cook one myself.

skihorse · 25/05/2010 13:22

Fgs there was a thread on pregnancy the other day warning of the perils of fucking pineapple. Today's classic is "can I visit an arable farm?". Give.me.strength.

VAG Yer eggs is fine moi lover - unless you're buying dodgy ones from e.g., a Hong Kong market.

Fantastic news for Alice - really, really wonderful news.

VAG What's a "labelled cake"?

skihorse · 25/05/2010 13:26

VAG But surely wimmins in your personal chef's country eat raw fish by the kilo. In fact they probably bury it in the ground for up to a year before digging it up and eating it. Dirty scandies.
