Here we go, pull up a deck chair, catch some rays and help yourselves to a mini eggs ice cream.

Nymphadora · 29/04/2010 16:56

Just passed out when I got back from second school run. Then lay on the floor sobbing. Luckily I got the rug as it could have been much worse! Kneeshurt now and had a nose bleed and some how cut my finger. Bump seems ok but now worrying. Dh stuck somewhere on a train with dodgy signals

DillyDora · 29/04/2010 16:59

Jaysus Nymph poor you!! Hope DH gets home soon to look after you and can take the strain for a while. Take it easy girlie, if you can.

RooBear · 29/04/2010 17:04

oh we are ella we only have a two bed house so having to sort furniture etc... people are donating stuff already and we've nowhere to put it! plus we have quite a decent size garden living in the country, so we are sorting that out too!

RooBear · 29/04/2010 17:05
  • take care of yourself nymph
Hermya321 · 29/04/2010 17:15

Nymphadora · 29/04/2010 17:17

40mins assuming this train is on time! Just cried on ghe phone. Dh is havng a long week at work & it's not working with me being so tired. He was home after 9 last night then left at 6:30 this am. And peoplethink schools are family friendly

am at work tomorrow too.

Hermya321 · 29/04/2010 17:22

Nymph How long is your work day tomorrow? Seriously if you're not feeling up to it, don't go in. Do you need any help at all? Is there anything I can do?

OP posts:
ILoveGregoryHouse · 29/04/2010 17:27

Oh Nymph, do you really think you should be going to work tomorrow? Sorry, being a nosey interfering old bag. Hope your DH home soon to make you feel better. Have you had your blood count done?

Nymphadora · 29/04/2010 17:36

Working 8-4:30 offically. Noone there now until 9 am. I'm starting early to take a child to hospital an hour away.I'm thinking if I feel rough after that I will go home. Usually I can phone my boss at home but she is off sick and don't have details of the cover.

I was v rough Monday night & managed on tues so might be ok & then 4 days off so that should help.

Dd2 likes to phone people after school & so far hasn't got any of our 'emergency' contacts so it's a good job I got going again! And no bloody takeaways deliver! Was going to send dd1 for chips but she has forgotten where it is & o daren't send dd2 to help

think my hormones are having a party today I'm that up & down!

Hermya321 · 29/04/2010 17:49

Oh Nymph look after yourself and hopefully DD1 will remember where the chippy is.

OP posts:
Nymphadora · 29/04/2010 17:59

Dh home he is being taken to the chip shop by dd1 as part of her test! It's about 200yards if she goes the long way round the zebra crossing. Can't believe she wants to walk to school on het own

Hermya321 · 29/04/2010 18:02

Nymph Great news, hope DD1 does well on her test!

AbFabT · 29/04/2010 18:20

Nymph!!! You take it easy, Lady! Hope you are doing ok. Not what you need at all!

LOL @ Dilly ("I have never understood how 2 weeks off was supposed to solve anything apart from exhuastion - if your boss is a wakner, how will 2 weeks away from him turn him into a nice person?!) ") - yes, quite!!! Nothing will change, at all. I will just be in the same situation, facing the same issues. I'm just not sure how hopeful to be about getting signed off for the next five months. Worth a try though.

jennimoo, wow, they do house-calls! How nice! Hope it turns out to be nothing though.

ella, yes, can relate. I've spent all my spare time trawling websites looking at bits and pieces for the baby. I don't think we're going to have a dedicated nursery though, as we'll have the baby in with us for a fair while, and the spare room would be a good space for overnight visitors (i.e. grandparents). But busy looking at cots, though I think I am going to go with one of those baby hammocks instead! Can't remember who on here first mentioned them?

Wish we had a big house!

jennimoo · 29/04/2010 18:37

nymph - hope you are ok, try to take it easy, falling isn't good!

Midwife has been round, I now have correct phone numbers and stuff (as haven't seen anyone since I moved her a month ago...) and both heartbeat and pee are fine. My orders are to drink more and try and take it easy over the weekend!

sam12 · 29/04/2010 18:50

Well it sounds like lots of you are having a stressful time of it today- hope that it all works out for you all.
Congrats Katy on your son. We are not finding out want to have a surprise.
Glad you are all ok jennimo.
My emotional breakdown at the solicitor seems to have worked we have now got a moving date for a week on Monday- fingers crossed. Unfortunately our new house is completely falling to bits and will take at least 6 months to make it habitable- it all felt like a great idea before we found out about the baby!!- we will have exactly six months till baby is due to get everything done so will be manic so unfortunately baby stuff is going to have to wait a while. Even worse staying with my in-laws whilst work been done and my MIL is already driving me mad and haven't moved in yet. Anyway glad I got that of my chest

AbFabT · 29/04/2010 18:50

That's good, jennimoo. Enjoy taking it easy!

sam12 · 29/04/2010 18:51

Also glad to hear I am not the only one who isn't feeling any movement yet- was starting to get worried. Although I don't really know what it will feel like

AbFabT · 29/04/2010 18:52

Ooh, sam, but it will be so worth it in the end!

sam12 · 29/04/2010 18:58

Yeah I know and is all quite exciting really! So long as I don't murder MIL in law in the meantime- don't want to be having baby in prison

AbFabT · 29/04/2010 19:05

Yeah - don't do that!

Nymphadora · 29/04/2010 19:13

Sam good luck with the work we are slmosted finished ours now but spent two years on it as we didn't have the same incentives to get moving! You'll do it in double quick time whilst living with the in laws!

hermya dd1 lost the zebra crossing & the chip shop so going to be a long job I think! Good job I didn't send her on her own

Hermya321 · 29/04/2010 19:15

Yeah Sam prison plus a newborn probably wouldn't be the best combination.

abigailsparty · 29/04/2010 19:53

Yikes Nymph. that sounds pretty scary, glad DH is back nice and early, are you going to get yourself checked out?

Sam12 good luck, been there, it's a slog but well worth it, ours took 6 years in total after a few false starts and deciding to get married in the middle of it, but it's finished now! I'm sure the combination of living with the inlaws and expecting a baby will be like rocket fuel!

AbFab Hope you're taking it easy, hopefully work will all sort itself out and maybe you'll be able to get some more time off. Doesn't sound like there's much point going back but I guess you need to go through the motions etc..

Katy Congratulations on finding out about your little boy! Must feel even more 'real' now!

floozietoozie · 29/04/2010 20:08

Hello again

thank you for all your kind messages. I had a nap and
felt a lot better. Hermya the place I had the private nuchal and bloods done is affiliated to the fetal medicine foundation and the consultant there has a rate of 0.3% m/c or one in 300. It would cost £400 though (gulp).

flyingdoll · 29/04/2010 20:39

Hi everyone, not posted on here for a while, been loving reading the posts though. I am 16 weeks pregnant now and i had a major meltdown last week as NOTHING fits me any more. Actually i exaggerate, tops are fine its the bottoms, even primark leggins have got too tight. Went into town and was really happy with New Look! Got lovely maternity skinny jeans, maternity black leggins, a maxi dress and a pair of khacki (cant spell, you know what i mean!) trousers from the usual range but they have an elasticated waist. Shouldnt really be spending but it cheered me up! Anyone else got any bargains?
