Here we go, pull up a deck chair, catch some rays and help yourselves to a mini eggs ice cream.

LOL!

Hermya321 · 28/04/2010 22:03

I'm getting really really achey hips, is anyone else? I'm getting a bit worried I'm going to end up with SPD.

Talking of stalking, I thought of you Nymph when I went through your neck of the woods today. Kept looking out of my car and seeing if I could see pregnant women (and simulataneously hoping it wasn't you in the car that I overtook on the way home).

Silver My back and bottom hurts, I can't sit for too long before I have to get up and walk around. My Nan would have probably pinched me and told me to put some more meat on my bones.

Also Silver you have to eat the mouseey thing. If you don't eat it, you are denying it the reason for it's existance. It's probably sat in your fridge crying to itself. I can hear it now (voice of toffee mouseey thing) 'whhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????'

That poor toffee mousse.

(On a more serious note, it only applies to home made moouse, shop bought mousse doesn't contain raw egg).

OP posts:
SilverSky · 28/04/2010 22:09

H you are indeed a life saver. For both the mousse and my life has been saved simultaneously I am sure.

Regarding the butt situation, I was built for comfort not for speed, so I really don't need much more meat on my bones.

My BF leant me some maternity trews, I tried them on tonight - they are size 10. "Whats the problem?" I hear you ask? I have never been a size ten on the bottom, only if I ever have a hardcore lipo procuedure would I ever perhaps be a size 10. If I have a tunic top I think I could get away with them, though saying that, they was SUPER COMFY, did not want to take them off even if I did look yuk.

SilverSky · 28/04/2010 22:12

Ingredients includes whole egg and as mousse is not cooked, surely it is raw? Non?

Hermya321 · 28/04/2010 22:13

Silver You are welcome and I'm sure the mousse is very happy to see you. But you are right, maternity trousers are very very comfy, I'm going to go looking for some maternity jeans in the next few weeks. I'll be heading to a very large shopping meca for that one though.

Hi Silversky- its [email protected]

tiredfeet · 28/04/2010 22:34

elsa yes I tried chocolate, I figured it was a good excuse to eat some if nothing else it helped a bit, briefly.

Also tried going for a sunny walk along the beach with DH, worked for a while and we had a nice chat and the sound of the waves was soothing, but then I burst into tears randomly about nothing at all, was glad we didn't bump into anyone!

ellabella I had annoying lower back pain (just a dull ache) for about a week or so, until a week ago when I went swimming and when I got out of the pool it had miraculously disappeared. Might not work for everyone of course but maybe its worth a try?

tiredfeet · 28/04/2010 22:37

forgot to say - lovely to hear from you thirdtimer gosh what a few weeks for you! I hope you didn't have too difficult a journey home etc because of the volcano?

lilmissmummy · 28/04/2010 23:00

I have serious pregnancy brain today. I lost my house keys and car keys and couldnt find them anywhere. DH had gone to work and locked me in so after searching the house I gave up and myself and the children had a lovely day reading and singing and playing together on the computer.

DH comes home from work and finds them in my handbag... I had looked there 3 times and they weren't there. So then I cried! alot! Then I cried because DH was being nice to me!

I cry at everything and if I am not crying then I am being grumpy!!

Swimming works wonders for me too by the way, we go as a family once a week and it is so nice for my back and hips not to hurt.

lilmissmummy · 28/04/2010 23:21

oooh I just read that fitflops help backpain and are ideal in pregnancy see here now I have just got to take dh into buying me some!!

ILoveGregoryHouse · 29/04/2010 07:02

lilmissmummy, fitflops are good. Having said that, I am getting terrible back pain and I wear them a lot. But then I am prone to SPD and general back problems when I am too heavy (anything over ten stone and i'm done for). Need to get back to UK to see my ostepoath but won't be doing that til July . In the meantime, will just have to cope with acupuncture and rest.

Silver, unless the mousse had a very short date on it (ie it was fresh), the egg was probably pasteurised so it'll be okay.

Am at the stage where I maybe feel flutters about two or three times a day - not enough to stop worrying when I'm not feeling as sick as usual. This always happens between 13/14 and 16/17 weeks though, as DH pointed out.

Doc says I can stop the progesterone - yay! Will stay on the baby aspirin for a wee while yet though.

Got a singing lesson today and ferrying boys around to tennis lessons etc but other than that, should be a nice easy day.

jennimoo · 29/04/2010 07:20

I was sick again today (17+2), that's twice so far this week I am pretty sure it's cos I'm stressed and didn't sleep well last night, but the stressful bit at work should get done this morning, so hopefully will feel a little better after that, and be back to just worrying about Junior (what we call our bump...)

Nymphadora · 29/04/2010 07:41

I love my fitflops! My first pair are now on the 'wear in the garden stage ' so need some more

My maternity jeans from new look are v comfy with an elasticated band on the waist rather than a pouch. £10 online!

hermya I look out for tall skinny pg women on my lunch breaks ! Though I have also taken to breakfast breaks too if you are ever in mcdonalds at 9:30am!

My baby has made me eat sausages and sausage rolls and bacon. I'm supposed to be veggie!

MummyBeth · 29/04/2010 09:08

Hi ladies - I thought I had lost you which explains why I haven't said anything in over a week!

Had my 12 week scan at 14+4 (loving the NHS) and it was good in that the baby is fine but totally not as good pictures or as long as the private but still baba's fine.

Felt my first flutters last night - I think so am desperate to go to bed tonight and see if I can feel some more.

Starting to look preggers and not just a bit chubby now so that's brill and I've purchased a whole new wardrobe half funded by DH - he say's its an investment for the others! eek!

Had a flick through some of the more recent post and glad to hear everyone is doing well.

Bxxx

forgot to write what I originally came on for.

I like Hermya321 am getting achy hips mainly at night, and achy arms, to the point where is is waking me up . Also got my first bout of calf cramp the other day I had forgotten how painful and annoying that was.

Still can't seem to relax, need a slap round the face and someone to tell me to get a grip (any offers?). I am making myself ill as I am convinced something will go wrong and I don't know why I feel like this.

My bump looks like a proper bump in the evening when no one in the outside world can see it, but during the day when everyone can see it, it is flabby and sloshy and bigger than my smaller than average lady bumps, so I just look fat and out of proportion, I want to wear a t-shirt saying not fat I have have a growing fetus in here, but I find them tacky, maybe I should stay in during the day and go out only in the evenings .

That is my waffle for today.
Hope you are all keeping well.

RooBear · 29/04/2010 10:47

morning everyone! I very of you guys feeling movements, I've had nothing! I have booked myself in for lots of dental work though as its free! x

I hope everyone else is ok, I have my 16 week midwife appt in about an hour, really hoping I get to hear the heartbeat. Taking DD with me, she's very into babies and playing doctors at the moment so she should be in her element!

BionicEar · 29/04/2010 11:28

Hello!

Hmmm these fitlops look interesting... just trying to work out if I could walk in them as have bad habit of tripping self up!

Went shopping yesterday in New Look and got some "fat" clothes in the sales - yay! Althou had to buy smart pair of trousers full price as they didn't have any left in sales in my size - boo! Still at least I won't be bursting out of my trousers now at work - was struggling with the last pair of trousers I have been able to wear this week!

Have had an increase in wanting to eat constantly, and as a result my cupboards are now bare!

On downsize have been getting lots of headaches and feeling extremely tired again. So am very drawn to my bed at the mo!

Had lovely convo with LO last night about baby - she is very excited and wants to share all her toys. She also made me giggle when I said I had to go for a wee and said "Is that cos baby jumping on your bludder?!" Even when I explain it was bladder she still kept pronouncing it bludder!

shieldbug · 29/04/2010 11:34

RooBear I was getting worried with everybody else talking about feeling movement. I can't feel a thing and I know my placenta is towards the rear, so it's not because of that. It was a relief to hear you couldn't feel anything either yet. Hopefully we will get something soon.

nunnie I've been waking up shouting with leg cramps (scaring the life out of dh) but didn't realise it was a pg symptom. Fortunately my hips and butt have been ok, probably due to the extra padding I've been developing over the past few months!

shieldbug · 29/04/2010 11:36

good luck abigailsparty; hope you get a great heartbeat

DillyDora · 29/04/2010 12:09

Hey Lovelies,

Just reading all your posts. Don't really know if I can feel movements (I'm 15 weeks today) and I do get a bit para about it, especially as the dreadful rash persists (had thought it was going) and I worry...... Especially after what happened to poor Mummywilliams.

Had a blinder of a row with DH this morning and am at work looking at 1 bed flats I can afford in our area so I think we could safely say that I am maybe not doing so great (and just about to start crying for the first time... why can't I just be normal and cry, eh?!).

Mental busy at work, home late, up early... sickness is back but it's just because I'm so tired (overtired!!!). So that's me - I should change my nickname to Rubbishbird!!!

xx

nunnie · 29/04/2010 12:27

I have a question, I have no idea what I did last time but I am pretty sure I did nothing and it just turned up. I haven't had my maternity exemption card thing yet have I forgotten to do something, or do they come later now?
