Morning! Great to hear from you KAYZ Your friend Tony sounds great, and funny about gossip too . How are things working out? Are you still working in same place or have thhings had to change? Will be great to see you again at London meet, and hopefully Whitby too in August?
Shall we pencil in Sunday 18th July for the London meet-up then? (and June* 27th for Manchester one?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 09:27

June 27th sounds good for manchester meet to me!!

DC's had me up from 5.45am!! not happy!! gonna have no time for a rest today tho, need to sort out my bedroom and hopefully squeeze in giving the bathroom a full going over- skirtings and all!!

Kayzr · 01/05/2010 09:35

Still working in the same place and hopefully I'll be able to stay there. Going to try and get the boys into nursery soon so I don't have to rely on xh to have them while I work.

Diege · 01/05/2010 10:39

Great CANT, 27th sounds great. Shall we make more specific arrangements via fb? Think NAT can make that day and a few others? (Kayz too?)
KAYZ, agree nursery a better option really when you're at work. Dare I ask how MIL is about the whole thing?
Off out to brave the Post Office now with all 4 as dh still away. It's the sort of place where they place the kids books and toys next to the queue at LOs height and then screech at you if they so much as touch them. Should be fun .
Hope everyone's well and enjoying the sun

Kayzr · 01/05/2010 10:55

MIL is being a bitch. Always moaning about him having the boys there and I can't be bothered with her at all now.

Kayzr · 01/05/2010 11:26

Nat!! If you are lurking. FB won't let me send you a message. It's being daft!! But Thursday night I was out with 'HIM'!!!!!! Well we were both in the same pub and he is friends with Tony. So when we went to move onto another pub he asked if he could come too!!! It was terrible. Lol

NatalieJane · 01/05/2010 12:58

Have just read through but 'fraid I can't remember much, am still in mild panic mode...

Re. Manchester date, I do still have to check if he is on call, but can't do it yet, he's just rang to say he's not going to be in for tea time, possibly not even kids bed time, hate this bloody on call business, it's going to be the same all over the BH weekend, and we're moving house next week, I could have really done with him being here. There's not much on the packing side that can be done yet, but I still need to mow the lawns, wash all the windows, put filler into some screw/nail holes, get as much junk out as poss, I can't do it all on my own, especially with the kids here. Grrr!

Star, hope you're feeling better today?

Tink, did you get your things from Next today?

Ses, June will soon come around!

Diege, PO sound's fun! Good luck!!

Kayz, you need to relax with him, deep breaths, don't try to act differently, just be yourself. Sorry about MIL, am sure she's loving it all.

OK, back to the mild panic! George just came downstairs saying 'Mum, there's a bee in my room' (I don't want them being scared of them just because I am so do my very best not to show it when they're about!) so I grab the fly spray and inch up the stairs trying not to be noticable, and hoping it's a fly rather than a bee, get into his bedroom in that state of 'should I just shut the door and ban him from his room? Or should I be brave?' type thing. Ask him where he saw it, he hold's his hand up and he's holding a dead wasp How did he do that without getting stung? So I very calmly tell him to put it down on the floor (they can still sting after they're dead y'know!) and then I had the problem of having to pick it up, got a wad of kitchen roll so I couldn't feel it's mass through it, and ran to the bin faster than I ever have before!

Urrrrghhh, they give me the heeby geebies...

tinkhasaspringinherstep · 01/05/2010 13:12

hi kay - tony does sound great bet he is like christian form enders and gok wan
good to hear from you

nat - i hate wasps to we keep finding spiders!! have found four this week all huge!!

cant - u r doing alot of cleaning!!

havent got next bits yet have to phone up @ 2:30pm as they have another delivery in then

went in elc
bought dd2 a rainbow slinky
dd1 2 wooden puzzles in sale and some happyland figures

NatalieJane · 01/05/2010 15:25

Tink, we've had a few spiders this week, think it's the rain, had one on the biggish side, but most of them are tiny. I can just about handle spiders now, especially the little ones, it's the buzzers that get me, can't believe he just had it there in his hand!

Hope you've got your things now?

DH just rang, he is popping home, but he's got to go back out to Warrington to pick some parts up for a job tomorrow, then he's got that job and another one lined up for tomorrow, and god knows how many more throughout the day spilling into Monday. We've got a grand total of 6 days before moving day, he is off on Friday, we're never going to have it all done on time, and even more frustrating that that is that, none of it I can do now, sat around all day with all this stuff that needs doing, and can't do any of it, it's driving me crackers!

And aswell as what I listed above, there are the big toys in the garden to take apart (trampoline, slides, play house etc.), everywhere is going to want a clean once we're all out obviously, along with the painting a couple of the walls and cleaning the carpets, we've got some furniture upstairs that wouldn't come down in one piece so that's going to have be taken apart, obviosuly the kitchen, bathrooms, clothes, and the last few little bits need packing up... and I'm sat here doing nothing !

essenceofSES · 01/05/2010 15:58

Nat - I can imagine it must be v v frustrating thinking of all there is to do but DH not being around. Yet you know you can't complain as he's off working. V difficult.
Just think though - not long to go

Kay - sounds like Tony has been great. Glad you have someone to share some fun.

Diege - hope Post Office was better than expected. When's DH back?

Tink - hope your Next stuff has arrived

Cant - what's brought on all this cleaning??!!!

DH is currently chopping down loads of trees and bushes so we can have a veg patch. He;s got a skip this time, not risking a bonfire!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 16:20

ses- not sure whats brought on all the cleaning... just woke up about 2 weeks ago in a cleaning mood... and i've not stopped since. DH isn't complaining though- the house is the tidiest it's been in ages!! haha!!

have a banging headache- all at the front of my forwhead- worst thing is i put the kids in their room to play, and Dd2 went to sleep in her cot as usual, thought i'd get some shut-eye and after 2mins they bloody woke me!! feels worse that before i had that teeny bit of sleep!!

ses- veg patch sounds good- i've always wanted one, but never got round to clearing the space i have set aside for one!!

Diege- will sort arrangements via FB with you for 27th june.

kays- tony sounds like a fab friend to have!!

NatalieJane · 01/05/2010 17:42

Just a pre-warning message, as it is nearly 7 o'clock (as per FB!) I am opening the wine, now at the moment I have no desire to repeat last week's performance but just incase, I am apologising in advance!!

Veg patches? Can you grow grapes to make wine?!! What?? It is Saturday evening night

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 17:47

haha Nat- you make me laugh!! Wish I was in the mood for wine, but you know when a headache is so bad you start to feel sick with pain- thats me now!!

NatalieJane · 01/05/2010 17:50

I feel for you, last week (or was it the week before - can't bloody remember now) I had it, first time for so long I had forgotten what it is what like, couldn't move without being sick, couldn't sleep because the banging was too loud

Have you been drinking and eating with all this cleaning?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 17:51

Yep, been eating and drinking... though just realised i've only had only 1 drink today... best go get one- And for the record it's NOT nesting- AF arrived yesterday, on time again!!

NatalieJane · 01/05/2010 17:56

Ah, oh well, it was fun while it lasted!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 17:56

haha!! Your all funny- NOT!!

Kayzr · 01/05/2010 17:57

Lol!!!! Ok it's not nesting then!!!

NatalieJane · 01/05/2010 17:57

On a serious note, deffo get drinking, and water, not the good stuff!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 17:59

just drank a very large glass of water- will repeat again once i dont feel so full!!

NatalieJane · 01/05/2010 18:01

Well done - hate that full up with water feeling, but need's must!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 18:03

yep... full up of water isn't a good way to be... plus i'll be trying to cram some tea in soon too... not even sure what IS for tea- best go chuck something in the oven... can't starve them all now can i!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/05/2010 18:05

haha- yeah...

I'm feeling a little less full now... do i tempt the next glass of water so soon?
