Hi JodieO im shattered - Im only 5+6 today but have felt like this for at least the last week. I look like death warmed up too....so much for glowing lol!!

emmaxmas · 22/04/2010 17:33

Hello all! Glad to read that I'm not the only one that's emotional and grumpy!! My poor DH copped it last night when he got home after meeting up with friends and I was so snappy (even though I was really happy to see him). Then felt all guilty for being a moody cow. Hormones eh!

Have become completely obsessed with spotting as have always had a bit between AF and I have had a little recently. Will check it out with Dr at my appointment tonight but fingers crossed all okay.

Told my parents and siblings a couple of days ago- they are all delighted and really excited. We're not telling anyone else though until after 12 weeks. Was so nice to be able to tell them- I was just bursting!

Have not been feeling so exhausted today and more like normal rather than the kind of out of it feeling that I've had the past few days. Sunshine has been lovely too! Long may it last! Have a nice evening all of you!

TheChangeSpiral · 22/04/2010 18:27

So so so tired all the time - believe it or not I'm starting a new job next week. It's only three days a week and my employer knows I'm pregnant and is being lovely about it but I'm a bit worried about having the energy and maybe throwing up on the clients after this morning!

notso · 22/04/2010 18:35

I am being made redundant in July but do have the possibility of redeployment.
I have been trying to decide whether it's right of me to take on a new job, if I'm offered one because will definately not go back after the baby is born.

How are the cramps spiral? Wendy have been thinking of you today. X

JodieO · 22/04/2010 18:36

Angel I know what you mean hehe.

Emma I'm really moody and emotional too, not usually like me. Hope the drs appt goes well tonight.

likethemapples · 22/04/2010 19:15

Good evening everyone! Glad to see you joining me on the 5th, Kisses

I seem to have filled our fridge with various types of ginger beer, which I never previously drank that much, and am terrified I'm going to go off it, leaving a ginger beer lake for someone else to deal with!

I am very envious of the boob increase and need for new bras - I thought this would be my one chance of an impressive cleavage, but all I seem to have so far is bigger nipples, which is freaking me out a bit. Why are they doing that already???

mumatron · 22/04/2010 19:47

TheChangeSpiral · 22/04/2010 19:48

Haven't had any cramps since this morning notso but thanks for asking! I think I'm just going to wait til I get myself properly registered with a doctor after the move.

I really wish my boobs hadn't grown likethemapples. The only bra that fits me at the moment is a rather elderly sports bra, which is not exactly providing me with much in the way of either comfort or sex-appeal.

Uuurgh - I'm such a moany-pants at the moment. I'm really very happy to be pregnant but everything feels crap and I'm pretty daunted at the prospect of feeling like this for months to come.

93pjb · 22/04/2010 20:22

haven't had to buy new bras yet but after last time I promised myself I'd only buy nice ones. Last time the lady in John Lewis sold me the cheap granny bras too on the grounds that I wouldn't wear them that long. I didn't factor in nursing bras being a bit grim too so after a year and a half in underwear my mum wouldn't be seen dead in it was such a relief to wear something vaguely attractive again.

JodieO · 22/04/2010 20:28

Hello Mumatron, fingers crossed for you, keep yours crossed for me too please as I'm in similar circumstance.

Glad you're not having cramps anymore spiral. My boobs feel really sore today and my nippes have been for a few days, headaches starting too.

JodieO · 22/04/2010 20:31

98pjb I'm sticking with comfy bras same with nursing ones, I'm too sore at the moment anyway. Plus with my history of miscarriages, prem labour and waters breaking at 22 weeks I won't be having any sex for a while!

mumatron · 22/04/2010 20:34

of course jodie! 93 completely agree about the bra thing, in fact am off to treat myself to some new, pretty ones this weekend. my boobs are huge already.

glad you are fee;ing less crampy spiral

notso · 22/04/2010 20:43

mumatron hello, love your name and will keep things crossed for you.

I have decided to stick with underwired bras for now, might treat myself to a couple of HotMilk ones later on. Never again will I wear the horrific cheap ones I remember from DD and DS.
My boobs are massive now, DH is very impressed and my friend guessed I was pg just by how much they have grown!

Wholelottalove · 22/04/2010 20:49

Hello to all the new joiners and especially to mumatron - glad you've hopped over

spiral - hope you're feeling better now, period type cramps are very common and I had them with DD and again this time around, but I agree it can be worrying.

I'm half watching the leader's debate but I'm really knackered - back at work today as the stomach bug seems to be settling. Starting to get the waves of nausea now, but not been sick yet. I am 6+1 according to LMP, although going on EDD of 18th Dec at moment which makes me 5+4 I think.

To everyone who this is their 1st pg honestly it doesn't stay this pants - well only speaking from my experience, but I hate the first 16 weeks or so - sick, knackered, worried, but the middle bit was quite nice - more energy, excited about the baby, looking pregnant so getting special attention/consideration etc. I read somewhere that pregnancy is like flying - the tough parts are the take off and landing!

nymum · 22/04/2010 20:57

Welcome to all the new folks!

Felt really rubbish today, but am excited that I have my booking in appt. with midwife 6May and a scan for 14May. Can't wait to get a bit of reassurance!

RaceyLacey- glad you posted your pic. I can't believe how thick my waist is now- trousers that were huge on me a few weeks ago have to be unbuttoned by the end of the day. At least I know I'm not the only one noticing a real change already! It's my fourth, so I guess that's how it goes. Of coure, I don't have a lovely bump like you, just....thickness. Wah.

emma2617 · 22/04/2010 21:01

likethemapples my boobs haven't grown either...they didnt with DS so didn't really expect them to this time! My nipples went mahoosive and really dark brown so can't wait for that to happen again!!

I will definately join you all with the tiredness, unless you've been pregnant you can't comprehend it but I just need to sleep all the time!

Some of you may well be appauled by this....but I am telling everyone at work tomorrow! There are so many pregnant women at work and I want to talk to them but I can't and also if anything happened I would tell them anyway as I'm not a very private person!

cath476 · 22/04/2010 21:23

Hi all
I'm due in early December, I'm booked in to see the GP on Monday to arrange my midwife care. This is baby number 3 for me and dh and I also have a 15yr old step-daughter.
My boobs are soooooo sore when I wake up in the mornings but do improve as the day goes on. I seem to have about an hour of nausea in the late afternoon and I am beginning to feel very tired!!

deepblue · 23/04/2010 07:43

I'm going to say the same as Wholelottalove. In my last pregnancy the first trimester was worse than anything that followed. Heavily pregnant, childbirth and dealing with a newborn. So don't lose hope - it won't be like this forever.

I had severe cramping last time too, quite early on. I went to the GP only for him to tell me I was in fact pregnant and he wasn't in the slightest bit concerned about it. Of course if you are worried you should definitely get checked out, but it's not necessarily anything sinister. I'm having some twinges and rumblings this time too.

Re work I'm going to tell the lady I share an office with in another week or so. We get on really well and I'more concerned that should anythig happen to me while at work at least someone would know. Plus shell guess soon anyway...

comtessa · 23/04/2010 08:50

Morning all! emma2617 I told my whole office on Monday. It's a small office and we're all pretty close. Also, with the nature of my work, if I'm off sick and something urgent happens with a client (work in law) then it means more work for my colleagues, and we all have a huge workload anyway. So I figured I'd rather they know what was up instead of thinking that I was suddenly not pulling my weight. I'm really glad I did say as everyone's being so supportive and excited for me - admin assistants not letting me lift heavy files, my team leader wanting to discuss childbirth options with me - oh, and a male supervisor explaining all the ways DH can be supportive!

Thank goodness it's Friday though, have a good one everyone! xxx

Anyway booked my scan this morning 17th May 2010 at 09:45 excited excited can't wait.

Woo hoo, my best friend is going to come with me can't wait.

Wendyb65 · 23/04/2010 12:10

Hi everyone,

thanks for all the kind wishes. Unfortunately things haven't gone well, and I have just had the hospital on the phone to confirm that I have definitely miscarried.

I am taking myself off the list, and hope it all goes really well for all of you!!!

Wendy xx
