hope i got the title right.

does anyone else think maybe rtuff has gone into labour?? her last message said that the baby was 3/5 engaged which isnt supposed to happen in 2nd or more pregnancies until right before labour! hope she's ok.

Have sweep booked for Wednesday at home (great).

Have had horrible cramping every evening (I think this is it!) and then take paracetamol and go to bed. I expect to wake with pains and am mightily pissed off to find its morning and the baby is fast asleep and (seemingly) has been all night!

Today about 2pm I felt so tired, eyes itchy, felt kind of grubby too, like I wasn't clean? I had a sleep for an hour and when I woke up I felt okay again. I'm convinced the baby is coming and then feel totally normal.

Although I am finding it really hard to drive now; it feels like I am folding the baby in two when I sit behind the wheel.
I'm currently on the exercise ball again .

Zeeky and Adelaidejo I'm still around too. Have had plenty of contractions that have just faded away. Was mightly fed up yesterday but felt better about things today. It will happen it's just a case of when - hopefully it will take me by surprise .

I am still wondering what contractions actually feel like - and this is my second child! Last time I was induced and was so high on gas and air that I felt pain but not the waves of contraction I expected. This time I am noat aaware of BH yet, just lots of painful wind and annoying constipation. I had a show back at easter and really thought things were going to start spontaneously. I'm sick of waiting now.

I feel the exact same Rip as I was induced last time and I am due tomorrow but I have very uncomfortable BH every evening and yesterday I was bursting into tears for no reason (aside from obvious) the baby did some huge scary moves last night so I was convinced it was going to kick things off and now here I am getting ready to bring DS to his childminder (small blessings ).

Hey Ladies, Congratulations to all the Mummys of Bunnies that have arrived, i hope mine is super quick to but was in labour for 32 hrs with DD so feeling alittle bit scared about this one.

Boodstress, my due date is tomorrow too but am convinced i will go 2 weeks over, i have tried everything to get this baby out, even went on a trampoline yesterday, it was very funny but did nothing at all. I have a consultant app tomorrow so hoping they can tell me the process from here, they have been pretty rubbish up until now i must admitt.
DD is getting VERY fed up of waiting too, she is 8 so well aware of what is going on although i have told her she will wish baby was back in my belly once she has been here a few days probably a few hrs actually.

To all those ladies over due i reasly feel for you i realy hope your babies will come soon.

Just had a thought my mum is meant to be at the birth and she is London for work tomorrow, we are right down south. I bet she will come tomorrow will be just typical.

I did starjumps Ray81 and they didn't amount to anything, except I was hobbling around the next day. I have suddenly got quite puffy and the bump is lower and neater but I could be fooling myself. Good luck with the consultant, I see mine on Wednesday and get a growth scan but hoping they say I can go for 10 days (I'm VBAC) to see what happens - hoping that something happens soooooon. Lucky you with an 8 yr old daughter, she will be a great help.

Boodstress - With DD my Dad ran me up and down the stairs the day before my due date and i did go into labour so was hoping the trampoline would work. Am feeling very bored today and just want something to happen but know that it is not going to all the time i am wishing for it and when i have nothing to do, it will happen when i am busy and havent got the time.

I wont be having a scan tomorrow but think i may put on the tears alittle see if i can get a sweep, heres hoping it will work if they do it.

DD cant wait to help out and i think it will be easier as she is older and doesnt need my constant attention. It has been so long though that i am worried i wont recognise contractions and struggle when baby is here with the sleepless nights etc. we will just have to wait and see.

Am keeping my fingers crossed that things start for us soon Boodstress.

Overdue ladies, I really feel for you, you must be so fed up. Keep at it with the reflexology points, they might help you never know!

I'm on my own with little Wilf today for the first time - DS1 at nursery and DH has gone back to work properly (he made his 2 week paternity leave last for 3 weeks by doing a few days working at home) so it's all a bit strange but lovely. Am rattling through the to-do list (making dinner, doing ironing, writing thank you cards!) as Wilf thinks that our morning is his night time (sigh) and had the midwife here this morning to weigh him (9lb 5oz! He's put on nearly 2 lb in 3 weeks!!) and sign us off.

Also had a chat to the midwife about him possetting, and colic - up until 3 weeks old he was fine all evening, and now he screams from 5pm to 10pm just like his brother did. Am now of the opinion that 'colic' is something that every baby has and we've just got to butch it out til he's 3 months old and grows out of it. Hey ho, it won't last forever...! Crikey I sound like an old lag now don't I?!

Ray81 - I went for a walk and stamped my feet the whole way the morning Romy came - who knows but I think it helped!
Hang in there overdue mums, I feel your pain.....
DD1 is at nursery today and DH is working on his masters today so I feel alone as well Snowtiger - it is peaceful though - keep trying to muster the energy to try going for a walk but it is getting later and later....

Hope I'm not too late to join - my due date is today and this is my second baby (1st baby came 2 weeks early so I'm not used to this waiting malarky)
I don't think I've jumped the gun with my nickname although I guess she does have until midnight tonight before she's officially overdue.
I'm fast discovering that I have a somewhat impatient nature as I sit here drumming my fingers and looking at the clock. To think that I could still be waiting in 2 weeks time fills me with dread.
Just thought I'd say hello to all the other overdue April people out there - hope you're all taking it easy. My midwife offered me a sweep this morning which I politely declined - anyone else had one? Do they actually work?

Still no developments here . Just walked briskly to the park pushing ds in buggy so hoping this may get things moving. Not going to bother going for anymore acupuncture - just going to wait, as convinced now that it will come only when it's ready no matter what I do!

Zeeky - for you i realy hope things get moving for you soon, i cant imagine how you feel i'm not even due til tomorrow and fed up already i realy hope i dont go 2 weeks over i think i will go mad.

By all accounts the baby lets off a hormone when they are ready to be born so i think you are probably right, they will come when they want too.

I had two hours of contractions last night - 2am until 4am. They stopped abruptly when I downloaded a contraction timing app to my iPhone. Bloody typical! Still its all headed in the right direction.

Hi baby2. Best of luck over the next few days. I was a month early with my first baby. Now that I'm on my 4th, my timeworn old uterus doesn't seem to want to let it go. None of my others have been early. I'm booked for a sweep on Thursday but if it works, I think it will be purely because it was a nudge at the right time (IYSWIM).

Congratulations to the new mummies. I wish I could say I've joined you but nothing yet.

MW was around today as I have an itch over my body but she doesn't think it's too serious as my palms and soles are not itchy and I have a bit of a rash. It's more than likely that I'm allergic to something!

I also had a sweep today and was told it could take up to 48 hrs to have any effect and I should keep active and go for nice long walks. That is easier said than done as I went to collect my dd from school 15-20 min walk (or waddle) and I was so sore. I thought something was going to break!

My "flipper" doesn't like it too much either

Thank you for updating the list, I forgot my brain is addled!! Elliot settling in but struggling to feed as he has a tongut tie. My MIL suggested expressing and feeding him from a bottle but am persevering without at the moment. Thinking of all of you who are overdue!

Well done for persevering pilla78, my godson was tongue tied and my cousin (his mum) breastfed for 3 months before it was diagnosed, she really struggled but did it and then they sorted it and it was plain sailing.
I must be near, I couldn't feel like this for 10 more days. ...
