Congrats rumpleteaser and dwaynedibbley. You both sound like you had tricky births. I'm glad your little fellas are here safely now. Be gentle with yourselves!

stinkypinky · 20/04/2010 22:27

Congrats to all new mummies - I will be joining you tomorrow all being well - section arranged for mid day.
Bit nervous, and feeling rough - pains and aches everywhere, so have been expecting little one to make an appearance for a few days now.
I will be in hospital for a few days, and do not have a fancy phone to MN, so will update when I can...

Mistymoo · 21/04/2010 08:47

All the best Stinkypinky.

Hope it all goes well for you.

Do you know, wizbit, my local Boots would refuse to sell you the Canestan. They would insist you go tot the doc to ensure your blood sugar wasn't out of kilter. They won't even sell you Spatone to maintain your iron. I think that's just our local store though. Must be run by a fascist zealot.

Snowtiger · 21/04/2010 13:29

Congrats Rumple and Dwayne!! And good luck Stinky, looking forward to hearing more good news!

AdelaideJo · 21/04/2010 14:48

Wiz i also have midwife tomorrow. Acupuncture in the morning, midwife in the afternoon - I'm hoping I don't make it to midwife! If I don't come on here assume good things!

Haven't had thrush this time around but had it post-birth last time for bloody weeks due to all the bleeding afterwards. Lovely stuff.

HoopsAndBaby · 21/04/2010 19:14

congratulations to the new bunnies and mummies xx

Jennysbean · 21/04/2010 19:49

hi, another one popped here, my lovely girl Romy was born last night , contractions started coming thick and fast at about 11am, went to hospital at 2 to be told only 3cm dilated , so had another sweep and told to stomp around a bit! 2 extremely painful hours later i went into established labour and opted for morphine injection and gas and air...... she was born at 8pm and although i tore i feel ok, the gas and air was great this time and the midwives were awesome. she is lovely and has been feeding well although had forgotten how painful it is!
DD1 met her new sister today and it went well although after a night at her grandparents she was pretty wired and emotional and threw a huge wobbly as she couldn't climb into the moses basket with Romy!

Boodstress · 21/04/2010 19:55

Just waiting for my reflexologist to arrive, still 6 days off my due date and I already feel like I won't go into spontaneous labour and will be sectioned at 10 days over, very down hearted of me as there is plenty of time but I had in my head I would be early or not at all..crazy, actually I mostly thought not at all. Scan this day week if its not arrived to check the size and then we will discuss next steps but from everything I have read a big baby should not rule out a VBAC so I am going to try and be strong despite feeling shitty and so heavy all the time. Seeing the midwife in the morning so maybe she can tell me abit more about the position etc.

Hope to hear about some new bunnies from the 'due just about now' gals over the coming days

Boodstress · 21/04/2010 19:55

gAAAAAWWWD who was that miserable cow

Boodstress · 21/04/2010 20:02

So sorry Jennysbean I only just saw your post...yippee for the arrival of Romy, sounds like you did great too. Ah the difference a good midwife makes!!

Mistymoo · 21/04/2010 20:14

Congratulations Jennysbean Zeeky have you popped before me - I haven't seen any posts over the last couple of days

AdelaideJo · 21/04/2010 20:19

Well done Jennys ! Romy is a lovely name.

I am due on Friday but have so much pressure down below now, I wonder if something will happen tonight?

Zeeky · 21/04/2010 22:19

I'm still here lurking mistymoo! No sign of anything happening yet. Curry didn't work, clary sage hasn't done anything yet. Went for a walk this afternoon but still nothing. DH did a hypnobirthing session with me this evening doing lots of visualisation of going into labour etc which is allegedly supposed to help, so fingers crossed something will happen soon.

Congrats to all the new babes. I'm constantly checking to see if anymore have arrived

lineky · 22/04/2010 08:53

Congrats Jennysbean Love the name
Zeeky I did the hypnobirthing thing and although birth did not go according to plan, and i certainly didn't 'breath the baby down and out', it really did help especially with the contractions. Lots of '3,2,1... relax' being chanted at me by DH did actually help and I surprised myself how quiet I was.

Mistymoo · 22/04/2010 09:12

Zeeky I have been trying the clary sage too. My mum has been massaging my feet and especially the point on the heel relating to the womb (we think we have the right place!). Even if it is doing nothing it is helping my very swollen left foot (I'm now callling it my flipper as it doesn't look much like a foot) and it is very relaxing.

I made a spicy butternut squash soup the other day and there is leftovers which I will work my way through. I'm also just going to go for a walk with my mum. I'm just trying to keep doing things otherwise I'll go mad .

flybynight · 22/04/2010 09:22

What a lovely name, jennysbean. You must be delighted.

Thought I would post this Spinning Babies induction here. I haven't tried it myself, because frankly it seems to be too much for me to concentrate on. But I wondered if anyone else would be interested?

Bettymum · 22/04/2010 09:24

Congratulations Jennysbean and Dwayne! Good to hear about these bunnies popping up all over the place . Best wishes to everyone still waiting and commiserations on the thrush, pelvis and flipper issues.

ilovesprouts · 22/04/2010 11:13

congrats jennysbean my dd has 8 days to go and counting :0
