tostaky I went to see Clash of the Titans as well and almost had to leave due to the heat! You were not in Cineworld in Edinburgh were you!? It was not very good so you didn't miss much by leaving.....
My ankles were so swollen by the end I looked like the Elephant Woman.....sigh..
My contractions have stopped too which is disappointing, I will be 10 days late again I feels it...

Bettymum · 03/04/2010 10:48

Neeko lovely picture of little Hannah! What a lot of gorgeous hair.
No news here, although DH went out yesterday (without his phone) to buy a lime and came back two hours later. I don't think he quite gets the "I'm four days away from my due date" concept .
Gosh, I haven't been to the cinema since I was pregant with DD, I think that must have been James Bond. I do remember going to the Odeon in Edinburgh many years ago and having to leave as it was so cold I was getting cramps in my back from all my myscles seizing up! Nowadays it's Sky and the sofa .
Snowtiger how are things going for you??

ilovesprouts · 03/04/2010 13:41

congrats neeko gawjuss piuc xx

Snowtiger · 03/04/2010 14:21

Afternoon ladies!!

Just a quick update as am so shattered I can barely type but yes, the symptoms did turn out to be promising... little Wilf was born at 10:40pm after about a 4 hour labour - excruciating and very intense but all over astonishingly quickly! Those raspberry leaf tablets and all the reflexology obviously worked in the end!

Must go and get some lunch - have barely slept or eaten and have a very excited 2.6 year old DS1 who was astonished to find a little baby brother in his mummy and daddy's bedroom when he got up this morning! (He said "that my little baby brother. He boootiful!") I was allowed home at 3am so DS1 didn't even know I'd been gone!! All worked out brilliantly. Hope that the rest of you ladies have as positive an experience as me!!

Now, where was I with organising that lunch ... zzzzzz

Jennysbean · 03/04/2010 14:25

ah Snowtiger thats just lovely - conngratulations to you, love the name too!
get some sleep now!!
xx

SmallShips · 03/04/2010 15:14

congratulations Snowtiger! Fab name!

spaghettina · 03/04/2010 15:17

Congratulations Snowtiger, Lineky and Neeko... Neeko that blood clot sounds scary, hope you're feeling ok?

I am 40 weeks today and after an end of term hospital check-up yesterday (they said I was only 1cm dilated and booked me in for monitoring next Wednesday), to my surprise I started having contractions in the middle of last night - they're irregular and between 15 - 30 minutes apart, mildly painful. Not sure if it's early labour, false labour or what, and I've heard this kind of thing could go on for days but it's quite exciting nevertheless!

CONGRATS TO ALL THE NEW MUMS!

Making me feel a bit teary!

I am 39 weeks today. I have been getting low down pains for ages but I think thats because this is no 4. Not sure but if any one else who has had a few could advise?

Really feel like I am just hanging about now waiting. Silly really because I am not even due for a week.

Have had totally hectic few weeks sorting out important things for DS. Was desperate not to go into labour until I had them sorted out.

Well they are done now, OH is off (works term time only), kids off, DS's new school place sorted, Ds's assessement thingy done. Car seat purchased (though wont fit in MY car )

Hopefully iron levels up after a couple of weeks of tablets. So he can arrive NOW!

Maybe TMI but I passed a mahoosive clot in my last labour and freaked everyone out but it was due to DS being so high up till the last minute and then shooting down just before he was born.

I didnt look at it though - did see the MW's faces

I cant help feeling if I had been in hospital all hell would have broken loose and intervention ensued.

Hope all the new babies are doing well and heres to the next lot of easter bunnies (twee emoticon)

Bettymum · 03/04/2010 16:11

Congratulations Snowtiger!!! Get some sleep! . Loving the name Wilf.
spaghettina exciting indeed, keep us posted!

Mistymoo · 03/04/2010 16:25

Congratulations on the birth of baby Wilf Snowtiger!

I was due on the same day as you (11th) so I'm wondering if my little one will arrive soon.

I don't feel like I'm about to go into labour. We went to a retail park today and I could only manage tiny pigeon steps whilst holding onto dh's arm, I'm not sure I could manage another 3 weeks of this!

Good luck to everyone, lets hope there are some more easter arrivals shortly!

ilovesprouts · 03/04/2010 17:25

congrats snowtiger and all the other ladies who have new dc

PrincessTweetz · 04/04/2010 07:10

Congrats neeko, and snowtiger..it's really nice that you were able to have ds1 wake up to his new baby brother
Bettymum, your dp sounds like mine!!! It's a running joke in my family on how long it takes dp when he goes out....I always get asked..'is he at the 'shop'?!' with a big smirking face cuz he can honestly go out for some milk or the paper and last it out for a good few hours!!
I finally ventured out yesterday to buy a few bits and bobs...I've been getting ready for the last few days but then not quite making it out the door for one reason or another!!! I was a bit conscious of how I must have been walking by the end though, cuz I had a few double-takers..I think in the words of my sister, I must have been walking like I'd pood myself
I'm off to 'share' lots of easter eggs with dd (I need to think of the effect of the chocolate and her teeth!! ) without getting heartburn lol!!
Happy Easter everyone...wonder if there will be any lil bunnies born today?! xxx

tostaky · 04/04/2010 08:31

40+3 so no easter bunny for me!!!

Congrats Neeko and snowtiger!!! I am so happy for you. It is great to hear your births went so well (despite the clot).

What about spagettina? True or false labour last night? let us know!!
and jennysbean? have your contractions started again??

I went for a super long walk yesterday in the hope that it would trigger something but all it did was to give me a really bad back ache!

Have a great Easter everybody!!!

nicnacinoonoo · 04/04/2010 09:06

really sorry not had time to read up on what ive missed. just reporting in, kacie brooke was born at 9.51am on 1st april 2010 weighing 6lbs 4oz.

the c section went really well and everything was done really fast and smoothly, very pleased with it all. the surgeon has stitched me from the inside so you cant see any stitches so nothing to come out yay. opened my bowels (sorry if tmi) the day after surgery which docs were very impressed with so everything seems in good working order.

got home from the hospital yesterday evening and enjoying being at home now. im mixing formula feeding and breast feeding at the moment as she was breast feeding constantly and i couldnt get any rest + my nipples are very sore. she lasts 4 hours inbetween feeds with the formula so it just gives me a chance to rest, although she is a bit sicky on the formula which she isnt on the breast so dont know what to do for the best at the moment.

will try and put some pics on my profile in a min and catch up on what ive missed.

hope everyone else is doing well

congrats to you all xx

Mistymoo · 04/04/2010 09:49

nicnacinoonoo congratulations. What lovely photos. Glad everything went well for you.

ilovesprouts how is you dd today?

Jennysbean · 04/04/2010 09:50

wow, every time I log on there is new bambino! Congrats Nic glad all is going well for you. The feeding will sort itself out - it's early days and you will both find the right balance. recommend lansinoh for the nipples by the way - it looks like lemon curd but it works magic!
I had really strong contractions last night about 10 mins apart for about an hour then nothing.......
and nothing much this morning - just a hiccupy baby, ach well.... the end is in sight one way or another....
Where can I get raspberry leaf tablets? !!
xx

Nic Kacie is gorgeous you must be over the moon!

Must be a relief to know that your plumbing is back in working order. After my csection it was over a month before I went to the loo which wasn't very pleasant.

I had a sleepless night last night up for 3 hours with heartburn and constipation. Tinnitus is also a right pain at the moment I'm struggling to hear properly because of all the noise in my ears. Isn't pregnancy great!

Looking forward to hearing about some more easter bunny arrivals soon.

Bettymum · 04/04/2010 11:51

Congratulations nicnacinoonoo! Lovley photos of Kacie!
No easter arrivals here, have been making hot cross buns and easter egg nests with DD this morning and off to an easter egg hunt later as the sun's come out, hurray!
