hope i got the title right.

does anyone else think maybe rtuff has gone into labour?? her last message said that the baby was 3/5 engaged which isnt supposed to happen in 2nd or more pregnancies until right before labour! hope she's ok.

hi all havent been on for a while congrats to those who have their lo!!!

well i had mine monday she made a very swift arrival! started having contractions at 3:30am thought i'd sit it out at home before heading to hospital which is only 5mins in car. Then my waters trickled but had the babys poo in so went in and only just made it to delivery suite and she was born I ended up having stitches as i tore but thats all. After all the mw's and docs saying i was going to have big baby she only weighed 6lb 11oz so ended up staying in as they needed to check her blood sugar levels. shes doing absolutly fine and enjoying lots of cuddles

hope its not to long till you all have your lil bubs!

flybynight I cried proper sobs on sunday night, watching movie toons........I started when the Lion King circle of life came on, it was the giraffes that did it

Well done dani. I'm always very skeptical when people say "big baby/small baby" before birth. It's a guess at best. You did brilliantly though.

OOh four babies now! Congrats to the new mums! It's reassuring to hear at the mo when I feel like this pregnancy will never end!!

I got scanned yesterday and they couldn't tell me a lot, going back for another scan today which should tell more accurate baby measurements.. and hopefully the baby's sex.. and confirm or deny my hazy due date.

Went to the oldest pub in Wales last night, supposed to be haunted, was hoping a ghost might scare me into labour! It didn't!

I'm watching One born every minute on iplayer at the moment, what with that and all these birth announcements I'm finding myself in floods in tears.

Still nothing going on here, am 38+4, been doing reflexology every day and currently have backache and lots of braxton hicks but that doesn't mean anything does it eh? Am so bored of being pregnant, and had really hoped that this little boy would turn up in March / before Easter, but that's looking less and less likely isn't it. Never mind eh, he'll come when he's ready I suppose.

Poor DS1 is really bored of waiting, but think that's probably because he knows his little baby brother will be bringing him a new bike when he arrives...!

Hi all I am just home with baby Hazel had her at 6.28am on 28th. It was all a bit quick due to induction thanks to high blood pressure. Labour and delivery fine. Unfortunately a few complications for me after. I wont go into TMI but I am very sore and now a case study for medical students - or rather my very swollen nether regions are I had to have a couple of surgeries and a few blood transfusions. BUT Hazel is great (6lb 4oz) and we are all home now. I was just unlucky.

Bit late in finding this thread. I will be 39 weeks on friday. And no sign of baby yet!

I was 3/5th engaged at my 36 week check, but now he's 4/5th engaged!! Which I'm really annoyed about.

I know it helps to do lots of walking, but I find it so tiring and the weather has been rubbish! Any other suggestions to get this baby born early, DH is 6ft 5ins so i'm terrified that this is going to be a huge baby!

I'm on the raspberry leaf tea at the moment to try and get things going. I will be 39 weeks on Sunday and no sign of baby for me yet either.

I was 3/5ths engaged last week, I don't think I'm fully engaged yet as I'm still having horrendous heartburn which supposedly goes away once you are fully engaged.

Hot currys and sex are supposed to help as well. I love curry but it doesn't help the heartburn and sex is completely out of the question for me at the moment! I think the babies will come when they are ready. I'm quite happy to hang on until my due date but I really don't want to go over, I'm huge at the moment and I'm worried that this might be a big baby too!

Congrats to all the new borns' mummies and good luck to Hoops, hope it is as straightforward as possible, very exciting. I had my scan today and confirmed the breechy baby turned following reflexology. It also confirmed the baby is probably going to be 9lb4 ish but they are happy for me to progress to term and see if I go into labour naturally. They will scan at 40 weeks if not and see how big it is and let me go a while longer. Despite going 11 days over with DS1 the Obs said I could go anytime after 37 weeks just like everyone. I am so so pleased that a VBAC looks promising now. Looking at that face all squished up in there, it looked very similiar to DS1 but I guess could still be a girl
Anyway, bring on the reflexology starting next Thurs - and the nookie - everyone went on about it in the hospital and my DH was thrilled.

Happy now despite v sore SPD now baby is pushing down

Congrats to everyone! am so envious....stinkypinky we are due on the same day with baby #2......how are you feeling? I'm bloody awful! Had a cold which has turned into a chest infection, my DS turned 2 last week and has had a personality transplant, and I get up literally every half hour all night long to STAND over the toilet and squeeze a few drops out

Wizbit its true about the stocking up on sleep - if its your first get yer head down during the day!

Nattynar....this may be a bit graphic but about 15 minutes before my pains started, I'd just finished the dreaded deed with dp!!! Poor man had been waiting for absolute months...he seems to think it was because he was so neglected, that he must have had super-strength sperm!!!!
Right...will be checking in at next possible chance....am off to try and upload some fotos for you to see. Wish me luck haha!! x

Boodstress Thats great news about your baby turning!!! I am having a VBAC too though if baby has not made an appearance at 41+3 im in for a section

Last night DP tried to scare me (to get things moving) and then because it wasnt working he tried to make me laugh. I did have a good laugh but still no signs of baby....
Keep having phone calls "have you had your baby yet???"
I'm going for a long walk today, let's hope that will get things moving!! (really dont fancy a curry)
