Ha ha! So funny! I did wonder where cherryPie had suddenly sprung from but presumed I'd missed a newbie joining (although did think, gosh, hope kaylo doesn't mind this new girl cherryPie taking over responsibility for starting new thread )

CherryPie3 · 25/02/2010 11:51

Hello girls...

I feel very lonely and upset today...I think I am having one of this days.....where I just wanna go under duvet and cry...you all lucky...you all seem having good day...

xx

mrsZaC · 25/02/2010 15:15

owh yummymummy whats up chick.. tell all your anties

YummymummyKJulie · 25/02/2010 15:39

Thank you mrszac...I will sound like depressed girl...but I am having tough day at work....and some people in my office got pay-rises today and because I am preggies...I am sure they decided to dismiss me...so I feel very left out plus one of big project has been taken off me as I will be leaving in July...

I feel its unfair...dont you? I was reading STYLIST yesterday and they had article about preggies out of boardrooms...

I just so cant wait till July/August....to be at home with my baby in my arms....I am getting so impatient about it.....

Ps. when you start buying babies clothes? I am scared to start buying now to jinx it....I have my scan on 19march...cant wait....after that SPRINg baby shopping....

xxx

Chulita · 25/02/2010 15:48

yummymummy, I'm kind of having a sad day too. Sorry you feel you've been bypassed at work. Before I got pg with DD I was turned down for several jobs, one lady even said the reason was because I'd only get pg and leave...seriously pg ladies get crapped all over
I'm not buying anything til I've had the second scan and even then probably not til later. It's a bit of an effort to get to the shops and I'll only have to store whatever I buy til July so not much point really.
starshaker that is a good bump! My neighbour's bigger than you, don't worry. (she's due next week though)

Chulita · 25/02/2010 15:49

Sorry, I meant to put 'a lot' bigger than you...sounds really horrid reading it back and I didn't mean it to

weehector · 25/02/2010 15:50

Afternoon all

Sign me up for the August 2010 gang...due 7 August.

YummymummyKJulie happens all the time I'm afraid, I got the boot 6 weeks (at 10 weeks) into my probation period in a new job in January when I fessed up to pregnancy as I needed to take a week off work because of severe morning sickness. Bastards...it was a maternity wear company too.

Weehector

YummymummyKJulie · 25/02/2010 16:07

oh well the work thing...thats life I suppose...you choose between amazing career and having babies...and when you worked hard through years...and achived what you wanted and its time for a baby....they putting you down...Life life...and being women...having my moment here :P

I think Chulita some hot chocolate and early nite sleep will do us good....xxx

Chulita · 25/02/2010 16:17

Definitely with you on the hot choc!

CazEM · 25/02/2010 16:29

Afternoon all! Hope we've all had lovely days, I've enjoyed my day at work with the kiddies and came home to my scan date on the doormat to I'm really excited about that!! (22nd March, cannot wait!)

Welcome to weehector! We're due the same day!

I can't believe the awfulness of jobs against pregnant ladies! I'm really lucky where I work, I was the 6th person to announce pregnancy this academic year and they were still great about it and really happy for me, and another 5 have announced since me! Practicaly a baby due a month at the moment! Haha! Must be something in the water at my school!! (Staff of 80 mainly ladies...)

My DH best man is coming to tea tonight so I better go get changed from work and start the cooking I guess. Catch you all later x x

vix206 · 25/02/2010 16:44

Hi girls, not sure if you remember I posted the other day about feeling discomfort around my bump. It got really bad in the night so I took the morning off work. I'm pretty sure its my IBS, I haven't had it so badly since being pregnant but I was really bloated and had all these crampy feelings that were randomly coming and going all over my abdomen. Not just around the bump but higher up, at one point like a tight band above my belly button and it was so painful when I breathed in, like an indigestion pain (but at 4am so not likely to be indigestion).

Anyway, spent the morning in bed then got up and came into the office and I do feel quite a lot better although still getting the off twinge. I'm sure its something to do with my 'guts' and not anything to do with baby. I had a listen with the doppler this morning and he/she seems perfectly happy, nice strong heartbeat and lots of kicks/movements!

Off home now again, having veggie hotdogs and fries (with salad of course) for dinner. Yum!!

marzipananimal · 25/02/2010 17:30

just woken up after sleeping the whole afternoon away!
starshaker your bump looks great. I'm at the awkward stage that my normal jeans are too tight but maternity ones are too big.

babyducky · 25/02/2010 17:35

Hi all,

just trying to catch up, have been away for a few days hope you're all well.

Starshaker- my bump looks like that & I only have 1 in there!!

Aussieng · 25/02/2010 17:38

Hi everyone - just a quick hello as been busy.

Welcome "WeeHector". Sorry you've had ablue day YummyMummy. My job is project based too and there is a large project planned for Q2 which is a revival of a project of mine which aborted 3 years ago. I wont be given it just in case it overruns so that means I will only get the small 1-2 week projects from about April onwards but I am looking on the bright side and thinking how much less stressed I will be if there are no projects running over when I start my leave.

Starshaker I have bump envy. I just look a little fat - not even that if I chose the right jeans! I actually think work are worrying that I'm making it all up to take a few extra mornings holiday disguised as midwife appointments!

I was reading yesterdays nappy conversation with interest. I am quite determined to use real mappies (albeit I'm not going to be insane about it and will use disposables on days out while travelling etc) and I was a bit worried about how to chose which ones to use given the level of investment required. Chulita's idea of trying out a few kinds over the first few weeks has been taken on board!

Finally - Isheisnthe are you around and how are things going?

starshaker · 25/02/2010 17:48

I still havent told a few people and am avoiding them (try and do that anyway) cos its soooo obvious now lol

CherryPie3 · 25/02/2010 18:45

Starshaker WOW!! Great bump!! Got a lovely round bump here too - will try to convince dh to take a picture later so I can post it for you all to nosey at - we can compare

Vix and Blueberries Wasn't trying to trick anyone - someone on another thread knew who I was and posted my name and I didn't like so I nae-changed. Sorry for the confusion

Welcome to August 2010 WeeHector Hope it's a happy journey for you...

Marzi at your afternoon nap!!

Vix Hope you feel better soon honey xx

Chulita and YummyMummy Can I join you please - you fancy starbucks hot choc?

YummyMummy We all have bad days darling, mines not so much bad days as a grump for a manager. She had the cheek to tell me today that my weekly ante-natal check-ups are unacceptable and affecting tea oral and service level and asked me to arrange them to be taken in my own time. I told her no chance and if she has a problem to speak to my consultant and/or midwife!!

Speaking of my midwife - I had to go see her today for the weekly bp check (twas fine today) and she listened in to baby again - I'll never get tired of hearing that She did say it was very quiet tho so she's now 90% certain that my placenta is anterior and cushioning kicks and blocking sound waves. At least its not over my cervix!!! Now that would cause problems!

Hope you're all well. I'm off to go nosey at the 'due feb' and 'due march' thread to see if anymore babies have arrived. I can't help it....I'm so impatient

xxxxxxxxxx
