OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
cazzybabs · 17/02/2010 18:25

star - you are growing 2 babies...god I'd sleep as much as I could - I am knacked too!

Chulita · 17/02/2010 19:02

I'm permanently knackered too - haven't vaccumed the house in about a fortnight and it's looking really crumb-y but I just don't have it in me to drag Henry out from his nest and feed him ... DH cooked tea for us tonight which was lovely but now I've got a toddler trashed room to tidy, washing to put away and the washing up (not to mention the Henrying) and all I want to do is sleep! I was asleep by 8pm last night
You are all well endowed, I'm usually a 34B, gone to 36B at the mo, really should get measured though.

mrsZaC · 17/02/2010 20:24

man, I spoke too soon earlier still trying to summon the energy to peel myself off the couch after dinner! DH away and estate agent coming round tomorrow to take pictures...stuff everywhere!

starshaker don't feel bad, you obviously needed the sleep! I'm sure if DD needed anything she would have come to get you glad to hear her finger is healing up.

sleep tight girlies!

starshaker · 17/02/2010 20:43

Just back from pizza hut mmmmmm garlic mushrooms and goats cheese salad. Did actually consider getting another salad to take home (for the babies obviously) but thought against it lol. That is the most i have managed to eat in ages without feeling really sick. Was so yummy wish i had got the other 1 now lol

aendr · 17/02/2010 21:20

Starshaker: my nursery has gloves for doing nappy changes. You could see if they have small ones which could be put on her hand (and held in place with hairbands) to protect the bandage. They'll be too big, and it'll be harder for her to do stuff in gloves, but with the right attitude from the staff she'll see it as fun.

I'm off to M&S tomorrow for a bra fitting as I'm sure I'm already a cup size bigger. I'm usually an E cup - last time the NCT fitter (measured me at 35 weeks) claimed I was only going to be an F for breastfeeding and I ended up an H , so I'm not going back to them for the nursing bra fitting. I really, really don't want the back ache of an H and a badly fitting bra again!

Permanently knackered - check! Me too. I think it's worse with a nearly-toddler to run around after too.

vix206 · 17/02/2010 22:47

MrsZaC Boudiche are on of the best, lovely girls that own the shops too! They sell the same kind of stuff we do and its a small industry so I know most of the independents!

Think of me tomorrow ladies, scan's at 9.20

bouncingblueberries · 18/02/2010 08:56

Good luck today Vix

Well, today I actually managed to resist the lure of the bus and walked to the office - woo hoo! But then my resolve crumbled and I bought a coffee and brioche. Ooops.

My hands and fingers feel quite puffy and swollen today, so I'm not amused at that at all. Ended up taking off my wedding and eternity ring because they felt so uncomfortable Put my eternity ring back on though as it's a bit bigger and felt totally naked without my rings . Please don't let this be the start of swollen fingers and hands! I'm only 17 weeks! I'm sure I got to the third trimester before I had to ditch my rings last time

On the tiredness front, I was in my pyjamas by 7.30pm last night. I was such a grumpy cow with both ds and dh, I felt rubbish. Not a great night's sleep either, so today could be interesting.

Have a good day girls. It's nearly the weekend!

babyducky · 18/02/2010 09:07

good luck vix

soontobefatnat · 18/02/2010 09:07

Same here Blueberries! Grumpy, grouchy, tired, cross! I can't seem to get a decent night's sleep at the mo. It's making me quite pleasant to be around!

mrsZaC · 18/02/2010 09:20

good luck today vix hope all goes swimmingly. which company do you work for?

well done blueberries for walking to work! put it this way at least you did the walk & bought the coffee & brioche, better than not walking and buying brioche..mmmm brioche

Snap - totally crabit in afternoon/evenings, start to crash & burn about 1:30pm and that's pretty much me for the night, and when I finally drag myself into bed I have a rubbish nights sleep. Still dreaming loads, about strange things, and wake up several times in the night really frustraiting!

CherryPie3 · 18/02/2010 09:21

Morning All!

Good luck today Vix, Will be thinking of you

Star I also went to Pizza Hut last night, only to the take-out bit tho. Good job too because there were people waiting aaaaggggeeeeessss for a table . Its right next to Cineworld in Wakefield tho and of course it's half term and was Orange Wednesday. The staff looked more than a little harassed I'll tell you!!!

Blueberries I'm sorry you've already had to take off your rings - I've never known it to happen this early? I'm sure I got well into 3rd tri too before I had problems with mine. I love love love my rings - will also be very to take them off!!

17 weeks today and I have a mw appointment today as well. AM so hoping she will listen to the baby's heartbeat today, wanting some reassurance that s/he is ok. Still don't feel too many kicks and nudges but trying not to get obsessed as I know it's too early to monitor it.

Have fun today girls xxxx

loobyt · 18/02/2010 09:35

Good luck with your scan today Vix Star lucky you, pizza hut sounds yummy, we don't have any such luxuries here, we don't even have TV at the moment

Has anyone tried a Graze box. My free one arrived yesterday and it was full of yummy relatively healthy snacks, flavoured nuts, dried fruit and chocolate (ok, thatbits not so healthy!) They sent me a code for a free box for my friends so if you fancy trying one you can use this code 1MJQ66HN.

Plenty of triedness here too and disturbed sleep, lets hope things improve in the next tri!

Cherrypie enjoy listening to your babies heart beat this morning, I can't wait for that bit!

bigmuther65 · 18/02/2010 09:42

Loving salad at the moment trouble is normally it's on top of a kebab or in a nice juicy burger.
Bleeding has returned again,it seems so normal for me that im not even worried about it.
Definitely with you all on the feeling knackered had to get the hoover out yesterday as we have three dogs even though we have wooden floors the dog hairs were starting to form a carpet.
Good luck vix

mrsZaC · 18/02/2010 10:03

I'm grazing as we speak - tasty! I'm loving the fruit ones at the moment.

bouncingblueberries · 18/02/2010 10:14

I've been getting Graze boxes too! but I never get the ones with chocolate in them I want chocolate in my graze box! [stamps foot]

mrsZaC · 18/02/2010 10:17

blueberries just say you 'love' all chocolate, see if that works they are changing their mixes next week! yippee

CherryPie3 · 18/02/2010 10:34

I don't get the Graze boxes but I do bring fruit into work and today I have Crackerbread and Philadelphia light for lunch!! Well, it's for lunch as well as breakfast/snacks.... And 3 golden delicious apples

Can't get enough of golden delicious apples at the moment. Am loving them so much!! Really off grapes tho, waiting for satsumas to come into supermarket as not been able to get hold of them for a while. Thought I was pinching them from mums but they had pips in . They were yummy tho

As well as apples tho I do have a kitkat chunky easter egg (on special for £1 from Asda) cos it was cheaper than buying 2 kitkat chunkys I'm intending to eat one on my break and the other on my lunch, or I may save it.... (unlikely )

Aussieng · 18/02/2010 10:56

I used to get graze boxes but stopped them last year during the postal strikes when they coudn't send out the fresh fruit. Felt very sorry for Graze - the postal strike really damaged their business and they are a really good product. Luckily we do now get provided with bowl fulls of resh fruit at work so I tend to get 2 or 3 of my 5 a day from there. I liked the choccie in the graze boxes though - generally it is either dark chocolate or just a couple of little pieces of milk chocolate - just enough for a treat but sufficient to avoid the temptation of a trip to the vending machine...

Working from home today - not sure my DH has quite got the concept of "working" from home. So far he has telephoned to tell me to register at a new dentist, call the National Trust and get my married name updated on the membership cards, order him some new thick socks and to sort out some life insurance for him

marzipananimal · 18/02/2010 11:03

feeling a lot better after my moan yesterday. Slept in until 10.45!
I feel bad as well complaining about being tired when so many of you have toddlers to look after and I'm not even working full time at the mo.
I don't know how I'll cope with pregnancy and toddlers - maybe I'll just have to have them all 5 years apart.
On the subject of bras - I still haven't summoned up the energy to go into town but a new bra is becoming a necessity. Which shops would you recommend for a good fitting service? I was thinking M&S?

bouncingblueberries · 18/02/2010 11:10

marzipan if you can get to a Bravissimo store, try them. Otherwise House of Fraser or John Lewis tend to be better than M&S imho. The company that manufacturers Freya & Fantasie bras help train the JL and HoF staff (or they used to at least), so the fitters really know what they're talking about.

vix206 · 18/02/2010 11:17

mrsZaC - me and DH run our own businesses. One luxury lingerie website and one swimwear website. They are called La Magia and For Luna.

Had a fabulous scan Gonna update stats now because it put me a few days ahead of my dates. Feel so happy

No nuchal measuring or mention if it, was purely dating.

marzipananimal · 18/02/2010 11:40

congratulations vix they're great pics. It's so great to see them moving on the screen isn't it
blueberries unfortunately we don't have a john lewis or house of fraser near us, but maybe I should go on a shopping trip to Leeds (i think there's a HoF there)

CherryPie3 · 18/02/2010 12:04

Congrats on the scan Vix - can't see your pics unfortunately as FB is blocked on work computers. I'm sure they're beautiful tho.

I wish it was 3pm so I could leave work and go to my mw appointment. Does anyone know if I have to take a urine sample? Only reason I ask is because I haven't been given a pot yet?
