morning!

Just been catchin up..

soontobefat fingers crossed for your little bean

littlemiss hope you get on ok today, I'm sure you'll be fine AMAZING maternity package u got there, I only get 6 wks full pay and the rest is statutory.. bit rubbish considering i work for a very large company. Last few days I've started to feel really fat too, my thighs have chunked out and I've really piled it on around my hips and gigantic boobies... think i'll drag my ass to the gym tonight even if I might be sleeping it will make me feel better I reakon.

10 wks now and 3 weeks till my booking in appt. Seems like AGES away.. think I'll tell my boss just before I go for my appointment so I can get the time off for it easier (and get paid for it!).

Off to skye this friday for a 2 night break, can't wait! Was supposed to go on 27th Dec but got snowed in, so this is my belated christmas pressie

bigmuther65 · 01/02/2010 09:30

Can,t wait till i get to the stage when i start to get more energy back and stop felling so nauseas

mrsZaC · 01/02/2010 09:50

good luck for today bigmuther

man I'm zonked today, not sleeping very well at all, haven't really since I got pg. Always vivid dreams all night and wake up several times, usually about 4am for a pee that I don't really need and super thirsty. grrr!

Chulita · 01/02/2010 10:28

Got to hear the heartbeat today and got my 20 week scan date through, not til 10th of March but at least I know I'm in the system. I haven't thrown up for 5 days and the nausea is definitely fading. Happy days!
mrsZaC - I had the horniest dream ever on Saturday night, woke up and just had to shag DH not that he minded Dreams are so vivid, it's insane!
Good luck bigmuther!

littlemiss72 · 01/02/2010 11:03

Hi Girls,

Sorry to say I have more bad news, been to the EPU this morning had scans and sadly our little one did not make it. According to the dr there was no heartbeat and our little one only got as far as 7+1 weeks.

We are both shell shocked, have to go back Friday for the procedure.

I wish all the very best of luck for a happy healthy pregnancy. xxx

mrsZaC · 01/02/2010 11:05

yey that's lovely chulita that was my fave part of the scan listening to the hb. I LOL at your post about your dream... can't say I've had those type yet, but here's hoping!

Chulita · 01/02/2010 11:07

Ack! So sorry littlemiss, makes my post seem so insensitive. I'm really sorry. Hope to see you on another thread soon.

mrsZaC · 01/02/2010 11:11

god littlemiss I'm so sorry, what a shock for you can't belive it... look after yourself sweetheart. xxx

twolittlepigs · 01/02/2010 11:16

Littlemiss - It is so scary to see blood, isn't it? I had beeleding on and off for 16 weeks in my last pregnancy with twins - ended up being induced at almost 39 weeks! No amount of ressauring from is is going to make it easier, so I hope you see a perfect little bean today at the EPU and that it will put you at ease - but do expect to be knicker checking with obsessive frequency for the rest of the pregnancy!!

Chulita - isn't the heartbeat a magical sound?!?

I had my 12 weeks scan on friday and everything looks perfect - as much as they can tell on a 12 week scan... it took a little longer as apparently I started contracting during the scan! I didn't feel a thing, the only reason I knew was because I asked what the bulge in my uterus was (in the picture on the screen)! The doctor reassured me that it is very normal (particularly common in women with a scarred uterus - I ended up with a c-section last time) and nothing to worry about. A whole 8 weeks till I get another peak!! How will I last?!?

bouncingblueberries · 01/02/2010 11:40

So sorry littlemiss hope all goes smoothly on Friday and this week passes quickly for you.

Dibbydab · 01/02/2010 12:25

How awful for you littlemiss, will be thinking of you on Friday.

soontobefatnat · 01/02/2010 12:49

So sorry Littlemiss. Take care of yourself. Xx

Bewler · 01/02/2010 12:56

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry to see more bad news - littlemiss. Take care of yourself.

I had my scan on Friday and everything was fine. I was so relieved that I just cried and I've realised that so many people have been unfortunate on this thread that I've been incredibly anxious during the past few weeks and worried something would go wrong.

I'm going to take a little step away and try not to read so much on the internet. I really want to relax and be positive so I'll be lurking and wishing you all the best of luck but won't be reading and posting so much just to save my own sanity a little.

Lots of luck ladies
xxx

vitapulchra · 01/02/2010 12:56

littlemiss--I am very sorry for your loss. I lost one myself at 11 weeks (mmc) in 2006 and was completely shocked, so I know how it feels. I'm so sorry and hope you take good care of yourself.

girlsyearapart · 01/02/2010 13:02

littlemiss I'm so sorry, really felt that it was going to be ok for you..
Take it easy hope it goes ok Friday.

bewler i don't blame you.

driedapricots · 01/02/2010 13:09

hi all, i've not been on for so long that didn't realise we'd got to our 3rd thread! i haven't had a chance to catch up with everyone's news yet, suffice to give a huge hug to those ladies that have departed in recent days :-(
Fortunately all is well with us; had first scan last week and all is good, i guess i'm one of the lucky ones.
work has been horrid in the last few weeks so have not had much time to keep up on here and also not much to update on myself as have done absolutely nothing but work and sleep!! i'll have a little look back over to see how you all are anyway..x

vitapulchra · 01/02/2010 13:11

Trivial rant--
I called the mw AGAIN to get a booking in appt and was offered Sunday morning 10am. Does this seem unreasonable to anyone else but me? I declined, since my family attend church together, and this really angered her. She then said there were no other appointments for weeks and I would just have to wait til late Feb (I'm 11 weeks now). I've already got my scan booked for 11th. So I called back today to see if I could at least be given the form for the ob to fill in when he does the scan, and a different mw said I had to be booked in first, and gave me a wide variety of dates and times to choose from. So I am booking in tomorrow, hurrah! Hopefully not with the angry mw! Am still feeling "non-pg" so am quite desperate to hear a heartbeat. Wish me luck!

Dibbydab · 01/02/2010 13:14

Know what you mean Bewler, you've got more restraint than me though!

In the spirit of positive thinking we bought a cot bed and travel system at the weekend

We told my mum and her first reaction was "you haven't brought them into the house have you?". DH says it's load of superstitious old nonsense about not buying stuff too soon (14 weeks today), and they were on offer, so yes, they came home with us.

We practiced strapping a teddy bear in the car seat, then putting that in the pram and that took 2 of us - not sure how we're going to manage with a wriggling baby.

Good luck with your scan this afternoon Bigmuther

babyducky · 01/02/2010 13:19

so sorry littlemiss, take care, hope friday goes ok for u xxx

Hope everyone else is doing ok,
I havent felt at all sick the last few days which is nice, but im now getting paranoid somethings wrong, cant wait for scan!

LOL at your dream chulita

Chulita · 01/02/2010 13:19

dibbydab, babies don't wriggle very much for a few weeks so you can get lots of practice in
vita, that's ridiculous! Besides, I had the scan 2 weeks before the booking in and it wasn't a problem...I hope you don't get that MW when you go into labour, sounds a right charmer

Chulita · 01/02/2010 13:20

Can anyone tell DD's asleep and I'm bored?

girlsyearapart · 01/02/2010 13:23

apricots hello- have you seen the stuff about them closing down Kingston MAternity unit??

dibby I can't believe you practiced! IME far , far better to wait until after the baby is born then have a full on row in the car park of the maternity unit on how to get the car seat in..

driedapricots · 01/02/2010 13:36

girlsyearapart yes i saw that...figured it'll take forever for them to actually pass the decision so am praying it will still be open in july/aug!

bigmuther65 · 01/02/2010 13:39

So sorry littlemiss take good care of your self,be thinking of you on friday.

ElusiveMoose · 01/02/2010 14:13

So sorry, Littlemiss. Hope to see you back on MN soon with some better news. xx
