...now the "Crazy Baby Ladies"!

Had the idea to start this thread because, after getting my BFP on Monday, it suddenly dawned on me that I was going to lose contact with a lot of lovely people. I feel sad every time anyone leaves (though obviously happy for you that you've got your BFP) and thought this might be a nice idea, so that we can continue to keep in touch. After all, we've been through a lot together, haven't we?!

Also, I felt a bit out of my depth on the other threads, where it seemed like most of the members had already had children. There didn't seem to be a "first-timers" thread on here. (Unless I missed it!)

So here goes!

Hi All,

Have been keeping up to date with your messages but haven't been posting as not much to say! Am in my 3rd trimester and still feeling good. Bump is 'proper' pregnant size now (finally!!!), I got my first comment from a stranger this week, lady at work who said 'oh, didn't realise you were pregnant'. It was nice. So far no hands on my tummy from strangers!!

Fulham - I have been reading about your boss and CANNOT BELIEVE how awful she is being. Seriously, what they are doing and saying is illegal, complete discrimination and even harassment! Is there anything you can do? Maybe go to citizen's advice or something and see if you can threaten legal action?! They shouldn't be allowed to get away with making a pregnant women feel forced to leave (even if you're not going to)!!

To those of you who asked about my pram, it's a Valco Ion, very cool little 3 wheeler that folds down to tiny (we have a little car boot!!). I'm in Oz, so that model won't mean much to most of you!! Shopping for prams was really fun anyway, if a bit daunting. We were stood in the shop for ages not knowing where to start, but then the assistant came over and was really helpful, and because we have a small car boot, that narrowed our choice down a lot (which was a good thing!!).

We have everything ready for the baby now, I just need to wash all the baby clothes and blankets, etc. and get things like nappies and wipes and stuff. Plenty of time to do all that.

Hope you're all having good weeks, nearly the weekend. I have the day off today and am enjoying myself a lot. Nice lazy morning!

fulhamgirl · 26/02/2010 09:09

Good morning guys.

pix- Thank u for asking about Lily!! She did start kicking but nowhere near as strong as im used to or as much!! My OH thinks it could be where im so tired during the week I ight not feel her as much or where she is getting bigger she is running out of room I dunno!! I do feel reasured that I can still feel her though!!!

Her- omg them blokes were so rude I would of accidently splashed them whilst kicking my legs lol!! Some people are really rude unfortunatly sometimes u just wanna turn round and ask them what their problem is. Glad it relaxed u your really good I think about going swimming and then change my mind lol!! Ive never been one for getting in a cold pool and ten back out again im just a woss when it comes to things like that .

pepper- heya huni how are u feeling u must be nearly 28 weeks now ay? I will be 27 on Sunday. How do u think the time is going slow or fast?
I know im having mega problems with her. I try and block her out now here and just get on with my job because at the end of the day she will get whats comming to her but no way am I going to let her stress me out or try and drive me out before my time. Im hoping to work up until April 16th then take 2 weeks holiday so my maternity starts on the 4th May. They dont like it but tough. Its going to be hard as I have to commute back and fourth from Kent to London and im up at 6 every morning but loads of people do it.
I look preggers now as well lol sometimes I think I look more preggers one day and not so much the next!!
Ive got a bugaboo pram lol!! Yours sounds really good though.

Enjoy your nice lazy day lol!! Im at work until.

Spirael · 26/02/2010 10:27

Hi all! Been a bit slack about posting lately, sorry about that. I could try and concoct a good excuse about being tired or busy, but no... Mostly I've been distracted by playing computer games during the evenings and doing research for various baby related things when I'm busy 'not working' at work.

I'm glad to hear everyone is (mostly) doing ok. My sympathies to everyone suffering from morning sickness... At least it gives you a symptom to focus on that everything seems to be going as it ought to be, and hopefully it'll all be gone by the beginning of the second trimester! Mine completely cleared up and I only have the occasional queasy moment now when I'm really tired and hungry.

Nice to hear from you Fulham and Pepperoni! It's good to hear about what to expect over the coming months. I'm 19 weeks now, so have it all to look forward to. People have started to comment on my bump at work and within my friendship group, but I doubt that anyone on the street would risk saying anything yet for risk of insulting me incase I just happened to be a bit chubby around the middle!

Still not sure about movements, I'm not very good at telling the difference between what's me and what's baby. The muscle twitches and such seem to be getting more frequent and stronger though, so I'm starting to assume it really is the baby and not just my guts having a random spasm. I actually felt a little nudge the other day with my hands, so hopefully it won't be long before my DH can feel it too. Got my 20 week scan next Thursday - can't wait!

Been starting to do a lot of baby related retail therapy, much to my accountant DH's distress. The cot (Tutti Bambini Jenny) and travel system (Britax B-Smart 4) are both ordered and paid for, for delivery in April during the week I've booked off for nursery decorating. Other essential bits and pieces such as the moses basket/stand/basic clothes/muslin squares/bedding/etc are ordered too and arriving sporadically. It's like Christmas every time a parcel arrives!

Still got lots more to decide on though. Not found a changing bag yet or settled on a baby seat. Do babies perfer to rock or bounce, I wonder? I can't figure out which type to get...or whether to get one to do both! It's all very complicated...

I kinda wish I could have had some hand-me-downs to make it easier/cheaper, but unfortunately no-one in my family has had a baby for around 20 years and none of my friends have really reached that stage yet. So there's really nothing floating around. Fortunately, my family is helping me out with some of the expenses, otherwise I'd be in a bit of trouble! I believe the idea is though that it'll then be passed down to siblings and cousins when they reach the point of having children.

Anyway, this is a bit of a long post, sorry! I'll slink back to lurking again for a bit.

fulhamgirl · 26/02/2010 11:48

Heya sprial - its so nice to hear from u please keep us updated more on your progress.
Awww bring on next Thursday I bet u cant wait.
Are u going to find out what u are having? Its very emotional the second scan I really got upset she was so perfect.

I got my babys car seat with the pram. Its a buagoo 3 in one and the car seat was included. My cot is comming mid April cant wait. We havent started the nursery yet we should really think about it now though seeing as I will be entering 27 weeks on Sunday.

Them movements are prob defo the bubba. how exciting I thought I had trapped wind lol but it wasent u start to feel them at 18 weeks but are very unsure. She kicks the romote control off of my tummy now lol she will kick anything off if I rest it. Lol at the begining she would only kick if she heared her daddy's voice but now she wont kick for him at all lol!! Think he keeps talking about her being a Millwall supporter and she is not happy lol.

U will defo have noticed your getting bigger but I still think people think that about me im not going to ask incase she is fat haha!! Im really lucky all I have is a bump I havent put weight on anywhere else !! Saying that u watch this space now lol!!
My friends tell me though I look well preggers now though.

Im starting to feel tired now and sick again not to bad though!! Getting my hair done in a few weeks and I cant wait. Feel a little bit unattractive my OH has gone off of the bedroom side of things over the past few weeks. He said its just weired and he is scared of hurting her. I supose its hard for them because they feel the baby moving and seeing how big their partner is getting. At first I took it to heart but he has reasurred me he loves to so much and he is so excited but he is scared of hurting her or moving her around lol. Is anyone else having this problem?

I havent got hand me downs either. Most of the newborns have all been boys. lol!!
We have a swinger for Lily not a bouncer. My auntie got it from mamma's and papa's it swings them and plays music. I will prob get a bouncer at some point as well though. Not to sure when she gets older to get her a baby bouncer which goes in the doorway as my OH as a baby decided to swing all the way around and cut his head open lol!! So he is a bit funny on her being given one of them.

Hermya321 · 27/02/2010 10:34

Hello everybody!!!! How are you all? I think the time when I start worshipping the porcelain God approaches with ever increasing swiftness. I was eating my breakfast this morning and had to stop half way through as nausea was waving it's ugly head. Plus tragedies of all tradgedies, tea now tastes like dishwater . The only consulation I have is that at least I can drink earl gray because that doesn't taste like washing up liquid. Me and DH are going to start the process of looking for a five door car soon. I'm hoping that we'll be able to find a semi decent one for a reasonable (ie cheap) price. Watch this space.

Fulham How exciting for you and little Lily (which by the way is a fab name). I really hope my LO is a boy for the same reason, every baby thats been born in my family recently has been a girl. I've always been one to break the mold and I'm hoping that holds true for this one. You're right about those blokes, they were really weird. I should have splashed them but I didn't want to be asked to leave the pool in all my shame. It would have been worth it though.

Spirael Thats really cool that you've felt your baby kicking. I can't wait for that, only another 14 weeks to go.

Pepperoni Thats so cool that you've got all your baby stuff ready, I've started looking at stuff and theres so much to choose from it's scary.

chancewouldbeafinething · 27/02/2010 13:07

Hello All

Its great to hear from all of the ladies who are further along...it must be very exciting to be getting all the baby things together, and feeling them move all the time...I cant wait! You guys are pretty organised. Are any of you looking at doing NCT courses?

I am lucky my sister saved everything for me, i only need to get a moses basket/bed. and of course some clothes...I went to baby gap this week (to buy presents for other people) but could not resist buying some little white socks they are soooo cute.

So the reason I went shopping is because one of my brothers who has been trying to adopt his second child for the past 2 years has just been allocated a little girl, she is 18 months old and from the Philippines. They have only seen a photo of her so far, but they are well excited. They adopted a little boy a few years ago, also from there, and he is really looking forward to having a little sister. Very happy for them. It was hard ringing them to tell them I was pg when all that was still waiting, really glad that it is happening now.

I have had a very strange week, one night i made DH drive me to macdonalds for a burger (havent been to macas in about 2 years), I have noticed that if i dont eat i get cranky (not normal for me at all). Had to go to a party for work last night, and they had cheese fondue there, I couldnt stand the smell i was almost sick from it. In the end I snuck out at about 10pm (literally said i was going to the loo and then texted later to say had to go) and today i am knackered. Have been for a walk around the shops, but now planning an afternoon with my feet up. Hoping DH will run after me...lets see.

Oh and 8 weeks today - so i'm hoping those stats are right

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2010 13:08

hermya DP and I are swapping our car for a 5 door as well, 3 door just isnt practical for a baby seat etc.

Im feeling lo kick more and more now, even felt it whilst sitting in the car which is a first as usually have to be sitting or lying really still. Also belly has suddenly popped out, def looking pregnant now!

WhiteRoses · 27/02/2010 13:31

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been missing... Back to work and I've been so tired when not working that I haven't had time for anything!

Desperate - lovely for DP to feel kicks.

Hermya - sorry to hear the car problem wasn't as simple as first thought.

Fudge - glad to hear DP is taking care of you.

Fullham - I didn't know that about the position of the placenta and miscarriage. My "12 week" (11+1) scan is on Tuesday, so I guess I'll know more then... SOOO nervous but I already threw up twice this morning - surely that's a good sign?!

Addie - thank you very much for all that info.

Chance - what a lovely boss!

I bought my bras in M&S too... 2 for £12, wireless. My boobs are still exactly the same, in every sense, not just size, but I wear underwired bras normally and have read that's not good when pregnant. Only thing, I hate not having the support of the wire. I'm a DD cup and that's quite a lot of weight. Oh well. Guess it's a good thing I'm not getting any bigger! Lol!

Pixie - how weird about your gums and nose! Didn't even know that could happen! Mind you, thinking about it, my gums have been bleeding quite easily too, lately. I just thought I was brushing harder...

Fullham - your boss is unreal! Nice for you to have that inside info now though, so you know the score. Wow - G cup and you're only 5'4"?! I won't complain! Poor you - must be scary not to feel kicks. But I guess Lily has her sleepy days just like the rest of us!

Pepperoni - can't believe you're so close! Glad to hear you're still feeling well though.

Spireal - I know what you mean about cost... Don't think I'll be getting any hand me downs either... Still, I'm hoping that, as it will be a first grandchild/niece/nephew on both sides, family will want to spoil it!

Hermya - sorry to hear you've been feeling sicker... I've just sent DH out to buy "Sea Bands". Dunno what they are really, but the midwife suggested them, so I'm hoping they make a difference... I'll let you know!

Right, better go and shower now. Clatty woman, still sitting in my pjs at lunchtime! Lol! Talk soon!

GrumpyGasper · 28/02/2010 16:50

Hello!

It's casper here, with a name change from last week that reflected my mood

Well, I too have been awol and like spirael I don't really have excuses. spi you pretty much described my life at the mo, but then we are due around the same time!

We have a changing table, travel system (well, still got to buy the car seat) loads of clothes and nappies. Now looking into the bouncer seat and cot. We might not need a cot at the start but I have been investigating co-sleeping option, with little success.

My baby is a right wriggler, but my other half still hasn't felt it. If I lie on my stomach (how I used to always sleep) it gives me a good battering. But the kicks are not strong enough to actually hurt or anythign. They are just there.

We have 20 week scan this Friday and private gender scan the next day. Can't believe I'm almost half way there. I'm now looking at stopping work at the start of June, to get plenty of rest. Realised that might mean I have to become a fan of football with the World Cup and all. Maybe I'll pick and obscure foreign team to support...

Anyway, I'm sorry to have missed to much stuff. I hope you are all ok and pregnancies as progressing as smoothly as possible. Take care x

fudgecat · 28/02/2010 20:36

Hi all Â? hope you have all had a nice weekend

hermya im sorry to hear your feeling sick Â? at least it means things are ticking along on the inside.

desperate and hermya We also have a 3 door that would need to go, its a great car but was not designed with babies in mind. DP has already mentioned a few options for what we could get as a replacement.

chance you are lucky with all the stuff you will be getting from your sister. Im a only child so no hand-me-downs unfortunately. That is so exciting about the little girl your brother is adopting, i bet she is a sweetie

whiteroses we went out shopping yesterday and got myself a non-wired bra from marks Â? its odd not wearing underwired, it reminds me of when i was about 12\13 lol

Hi grumpy nice to see you back. Good luck on Friday, how come you are going for a separate gender scan? will they not tell you the sex on Friday? Im looking forward to the world cup, it will be odd to not be drinking tho

Anyway Â? im off to the doctors tomorrow afternoon to let them know im pregnant. For some reason i feel a bit nervous about it Â? no idea why, guess im just a bit odd

GrumpyGasper · 28/02/2010 21:38

just a quickie - fudge in my area the NHS makes you pay £50 for the gender scan, and they do it after week 23. For £65 we are getting a private (better equipment scan) at 20 weeks, but they will do it from 18 onwards. A few hospitals prefer to focus purely on the purpose of the 20-week scan, which is to check your baby for visible signs of disability/ill health.

Night all

chancewouldbeafinething · 28/02/2010 22:03

Hi All

Roses hope you feel better this week, hope the sickness is gone soon. Glad you found the bras ok, i cant bring myself to spend more when i know i am going to go through them fairly quickly. They say the wire in normal bras stops the milk ducts forming properly.

desperate that is so cool that DH is coaching lo to kick...must like the sound of his voice.

fudge I know i am very lucky, i am the youngest of 5, some of my nieces are already 15, so it was great that my sister had her son just a few years ago. Good luck at the Doc's tomorrow.

grumpy too funny that you changed your name...i never knew that about the nhs scans, it really is a postcode lottery isnt it?

hermya Good on you for swimming, dont let the old fogies put you off!

Right well i am off to bed, will be seeing the midwife for the first time tomorrow, i am hoping that she is not going to give me grief about wanting to move to Oz in august..lets see how it goes. Night all xxxx

chancewouldbeafinething · 28/02/2010 22:11

sorry almost forgot
fulham you need to get a copy of your friends email, and take that to the cit.advice. I am sure that your boss will be in all sorts of bother!
Take care of yourself

Ozziegirly · 28/02/2010 22:20

Morning all, lovely to hear from everyone.

I've started feeling rather uncomfortable in bed now, I'm only 15 weeks but my stomach muscles feel quite achy and I have had to bring in a second pillow to have on my side/between my legs to stay comfy.

I've also had some kind of weird low heavy pain, right kind of low down basically where my public bone is. Anyway, I phoned the Obs and she wasn't concerned, said it was just the baby growing and shifting into place and as long as I don't have any bleeding and the heavy pain goes off when I sit (which it does) then it would be fine.

I wasn't overly worried either, but nice to have the reassurance as I don't have an appointment for another 2 1/2 weeks.

But at the weekend I went and splurged on some lovely maternity clothes - couple of dresses and tops and now I just need a pair of jeans and I will be basically done.

Also started looking at prams and all the other baby stuff which was very fun. I'm also not getting any hand me downs so I am starting to add in a couple of things a week so I don't have to buy it all at once, and bunging extras into the shopping trolly so it gets added into the weekly shop!

fulhamgirl · 01/03/2010 09:30

Good mornig guys another Monday but also another week closer to being a mummyand having our bundle.

Im 27 weeks 1 day today. Which I think works out to be 12 weeks 6 days to go full term getting excited but so nervous as well. Got my bag packed now just incase but havent packed the bubba's bits just yet still gotta wash all her clothes im hoping nanny might want that duty lol.
Nothing much else from me other then tiredness really starting to kick in!! I didnt get outta bed all day yesterday oh tell a lie I did to get macDonalds then ate it and fell back to sleep how bad and unhealthy is that. !!
I think I will start struggling soon as I can feel the symtoms comming on!! I am normally ok on and Monday and tuesday but as soon as wednesday hits thats it im a zombie.
Sickness starting to defo appear again. Belly is massive like I have a beach ball lol people noticing offering me their seats etc now which is nice.
Can bend down anymore though and if I do it takes ages and I seem to tumble forwards lol!! My OH thinks its so funny until he dont get any clean clothes cause he is laughing at me to much for me to bend down and pick them up lol!! It is funny though and nice to share it now.
My hormones are defo all over the place aswell one min im laughing then im crying then I get paranoid. My OH went out on sat night he was home by 10 I went to pick him up from the station but he was so so drunk. I didnt mind he hasent been out in ages and he came home really early anyway he said to me in the car oh your so pretty look at u u little blonde sort well anyway instead of taking that as a compliment I thought he has never called me a blonde sort before who has been saying that to then etc etc oh its really bad because I know he would never do anything like that but the hormones are awful !! When I mensioned it to my mummy lol she said everyone can see how happy and excited he is got off his case missy he only has eyes for u your being so stupid.
I heared being preggers is like being on your PMT for 9 months so im blamming that.

ozzie- U will now start to feel uncomfortable I did around that stage prob means u might carry heavy. Try lots of pillows and dont hold your bladder as much as it annoys u keep going to trips to the loo it will just make u so much more uncomfortable unfortunetly it doesnt get any better sorry hun. Get your DH to give u loads of cuddles.

chance-Good luck with the midwife let us know how u get on. Its so exciting the first time u go.
Yea I will do she has left me alone last few days at work so im happy as soon as she starts again its just more to add into my grievence.

Fudge - I think everyone gets nervous hun because they are like confiming the pregnancy, dont be though your be fine. I was very nervous thinking he was going to turn around and say no your not pregnant. My OH came with me though so I had support. Let us know as well how u get on.
He will send off for u to get your first scan date and write to the midwife. !!

Heya curly or should I say grumpy lol -OMG your nearly half way there how amazing. That has gone so so quick are u getting excited? Im on edge again like when we were all TTC when u guys go for your scans to find out the gender of the babi. I bet your so excited have u got an idea of what u might be having? Im gonna guess boy but im prob so wrong. Once youve had that scan u will find the baby moves so much more. Its scary as I posted last week I couldnt feel her move as much but this morning she will not stop lol can get uncomfortbale but very reasuring she had hicups at about 4 this morning was so funny.
So how long rest will u get? When is the baby due? Im thinking of leaving April 16th 6 weeks before but now im thinking begining of april as im getting so tired. Im really dunno what to do. Have to hurry up and make my mind up though. Need to give work 28 days notice (even though they dont deserve it) and I dont even have my MatB1 form yet as I had to cancel my last midwife appointment. So im thinking 8 weeks before or 6 weeks!

Heya white- How u feeling now hun? Hows it going at work at u coping ok with the sickness?
How quick has your scan come around as well!! I cant wait tomorrow and friday now im so excited for both u and grumpy. Please let us know how it goes. I couldnt sleep either lol its such a nervous feeling u wont sleep tonight at all your have a mixture of feelings but everything will be fine and your be so proud seeing little bubba on the screen !! Which I had another scan but I dont id love to see her again so treasure the moments!!

desp- heya its exciting ay when your belly decides to pop out and u look preggers u get so proud of your bump.
I find Lily kicks more when I lay on my left side.

chance-Heya hun. 8 weeks already I really cant believe how quick the weeks are going u know!! How are u feeling in yourself? Have u told many people? About the Mac D thing im so bad I had to macdonalds in two days it really bad im now on a healthy eating week with a bit of choclate thrown it lol.

her - Aww thank u. We always knew if it was a girl Lily would be the name we were set on that before we found out. Would u like a little boy then? We wanted a boy (sorry lily) but then when we see her we both got so upset and we love her so much already wouldnt change her for the world.

I know its still early days for a few but have u thought about who will be in the labour ward with u? Im taking my mum and my OH in with me. My other family member's think it might be to emotioanl for my mum but I really want my there. I have given her the choice though and she does wanna be there. I said to her if it gets to much seriously for either of u then go I wont mind just send my dad in. My dad will be ok lol!! I just dont wanna be on my own.

Nay babies due world cup time? lol good luck if they are with your DH's.

xxxxxxxx

Spirael · 01/03/2010 10:05

Morning all! I hope everyone is doing ok today. It's a nice (cold) sunny day here! Too bad that it's also the start of another working week... Ah well.

Only four days to go until my scan. I've booked the afternoon off work for it, and DH and I are going to have a nice lunch together before attending the appointment mid-afternoon, so it should be a good day!

LGI will tell me the gender if they can, but charge me £5 each for print outs of pictures. All I can say is they'd better be of a higher quality than the previous NHS pics I was given, since I'll be paying this time! The pics were free in the EPU scan at 13 weeks, but this time I've moved up in the world to the bigger (and better?) machine on the second floor!

Still not entirely convinced about the movements... Everything I feel at the moment is really low down, much lower than I was expecting - barely above my pelvic bone. Is that normal? The last MW I saw said that she could feel the womb just below my belly button...and that was weeks ago now. I was expecting the muscle twitchy movements to migrate upwards, but if it is the LO then they seem busy chilling out as low as they can.

Either that or they're sat upright with their feet down towards my nether regions, giving me kicks in that position. Oh well... I'm sure everything will become clear during the scan. Could be that the placenta is covering things at the front higher up, maybe? Who knows...

After much deliberation and research, I think I'm going to go for a bouncer over a swinger. My parents used a bouncer for my bro and I, and my ILs used a bouncer for DH and his sis, so it would seem that family genetics lead towards bouncers! I've got my eye on the Baby Bjorn one... But it's quite expensive. I wonder if I can persuade DH.

I managed to persuade him to stop at Dunelm Mills yesterday after he commented that we should get some new towels. Got lots of nice fluffy ones...including some baby/child towels with little decorative yellow 'rubber' ducks on them! Kind of out of character for me, but I can't help but go "Squee!" at the cute little ducks.

I think LO will be born after the end of the world cup, however I'm due to be finishing up with work mid-June (4 weeks holiday then maternity) so will be at home for the bulk of the matches. Guess I'd better not rely on there being much on TV during the first few weeks of my leave! I'm not a big football fan, neither is DH, so our house will likely be a sport-free zone.

Hermya321 · 01/03/2010 10:26

Morning all! I've had a well rough weekend, I ended up having the day off work on Saturday because I felt so ill. Whoever said pregnancy was a magical time was obviously lying. People keep saying to me, 'oh but you'll get over it in x amount of weeks'. Well thats nice to know, but it doesn't exactly help me now. I wondered round Asda in a vain hope to see if anything popped out at me. Nope, nadda not a thing! Not even chocolate!!! How bad is that? Well at least I know the munchkins still upto it's crazy tricks.

Spireal That sounds so cool, I hope your scan goes well and that you and DH have a good time. Are you going to find out what you're having or is it going to be a surprise?

Fulham To be honest, I just have this feeling it's a little boy. Don't ask me why, if we end up having a girl. I'll blame all these wonderings on the pregnancy hormones. I'm taking my DH and thats it. My Mum said she would like to come, but tbh I couldn't think of anything worse. I may change my mind closer to the time though.

Ozzie Wow, 15 weeks already. Are you showing or are you still your pre pregnancy self? I'm glad to hear that everything is ok.

White Thanks for that, I'm currently shopping for them on the internet. Apparently you can get that morning well CD off of itunes for 59p instead of forking out £20 for it on the internet. Might be worth a look for your lovely self.

Gasper They make you pay for a gender scan? Thats so bad!

Chance I won't, I'm going to go tomorrow as well.

spiral-Its hard to tell really. My womb is very high up now I kinda wished I had kept a diary so I could of shared old stories with you. I feel her everywhere to be honest but I feel the most movements under my pelvic bone so I think that is your bubba!! She moves very low down infact I can feel her now turning and its below my pelvic bone.
Everything moves higher the further u go along. Like I will feel her move/turn under my pelvis and then she kicks as far up as near my boobs lol!!
We decided to get a rocker so it will be nice to compare notes when the bundle arrives.
Im going to leave begining of April and take 2 weeks holiday!! Im only allowed two weeks and I can take the other two weeks if I was to come back!! Its just im starting to suffer with the headaches and backpain so would rather be at home now.
My OH is a big football fan and he loves millwall!! He wants to update his season ticket im like great lol!! As long as he comes home to me after the game I cant complain really he needs his time. Men and football.

Her-Oh hun I suffered so bad first 13 weeks I look butters not blooming lol!! It will go I promise you between 12-29 weeks they say u should feel great although im 27 weeks and im suffereing from headaches and backaches u name it im getting it.
I got put off of every kind of food I didnt really start enjoying chocolate until I was about 18 weeks.
Keep your chin up babes it will get better I know it seems a long way off when your feeling like that but I promise u it will.
Look forward to the midwife appointment tomorrow and also tell her as she really helped me with things at the begining. I couldnt stomache ginger yuk or anything and she advice things which did really help!! Even peppermint I just couldnt stomache the thought of it!! U must be having a little girl !!

Hello everyone,
Just popping in to say Ive got my 20 week scan tomorrow really really excited about it, cant wait to find out the gender. Ive had different members of my family telling me there different predictions, DP thinks it will be a girl, my dad thinks it'll be a boy but who knows!
Its at 10am tomorrow which is nice so wont be hanging around all day waiting for it.

Hope everyone is well

Just got back from the docs

I was in and out fairly quick - he took my blood pressure and listened to my chest, told me to go back if i have any bleeding\pain etc and gave me a leaflet that goes over the basics like taking folic acid and no scuba diving. He was a new GP and he did have to phone the receptionist to ask if he had to book the scan or if the MW did it . Turns out the MW does this. He then sent me off to book a MW appointment with the receptionist... so i went and saw the receptionist who congratulated me then said the only appointment she had this week was a 15 min slot. I asked if this would be long enough for my 1st appointment and the receptionist said no - it needs to be longer. Anyway the receptionist has taken my name and number and will ask the MW to call me to sort out the appointment.

From the surgery info poster i found out that the MW is only in on Wednesdays so hopefully i will hear from her in two days.

Guess i'm now officially a pregnant person

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/03/2010 17:07

Yeah grumpy I remember you saying that and I kept going back to the pic trying to see it myself!
Thanks fulham I will come on here as soon as I get back from the hospital (saddo that I am) and let you all know how it went, fingers crossed for me

GrumpyGasper · 01/03/2010 17:21

nub theory explained here

I want to know if it works!

Hermya321 · 01/03/2010 17:25

Fulham Yay you're an official preggers in the system person, ooooo I can't wait.

It has been a good day today, I've managed to eat some crackers, a chocolate sundae and an apple and drank lots and lots of squash. Although it isn't a feast and I still feel nausous.

I've just decided that theres no point stressing about it, I'm going to feel crap for the next couple of weeks. I'm just going to take it easy, eat what I can and watch a lot of television. [calmzenface]
