Kayz- the way i see it you may not concieve for 6mths... so if you started now you may still get pg in july???

As for me and ttc- i think i want to wait until we've at least had another holiday... which hopefully will be in 2 years... then i'm all for ttc after that... however, if we did the ferry jobby again i could manage with a baby too... so basically once the house is sorted, or at least semi-sorted (ie at least sort the living room and kitchen) DH still says he doesn't want another but agreed to a girls name (as we already have a boys name) the other night- we like Daisy May... I honestly dont want to wait though, i want a P&T so DD2 can go in it!!

Kayzr · 01/02/2010 12:28

I have always got pg straight away so starting now is not an option at all. So July it is.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/02/2010 12:31

Shall I remind you of that in march/April when you're re-considering ???

Kayzr · 01/02/2010 12:34

Actually I've just looked at my predicted ovulation dates and it will be September before we start trying. I don't want them to have birthdays too close together.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/02/2010 12:38

i was kinda the same Kayz- mut it never worked that way!! Have about 8wks between DS and DD2, then about 6wks between her's and DD1's!! It gets it all out of the way thought which is quite good.

tinksbabyis1 · 01/02/2010 12:49

kay - trying wont be long

essenceofSES · 01/02/2010 13:46

Hello!

Seems it was norovirus in the end as DH got it too. Miraculously O doesn't seem to have been affected!
I spent most of Saturday in bed as I really couldn't move. Managed to lose 5lb in 36hrs
Then yesterday DH succumbed so I was back "on duty" with O (DH coped v well on Sat. All I really had to do was BF)
We both managed a cheese sandwich yesterday afternoon and I've had some toast this morning.

O was doing 2.5hrs settling in at nursery this morning and I decided to take him as he hadn't shown any symptoms and DH and I are just about recovered.
Roads were awful though and it took me nearly an hour to get him there!!! When I got back, he was asleep in the arms of one of the girls. They said he'd been v active and playing, had a snack and then started crying so they rocked him to sleep. He woke up there but just didn't seem v happy until we got home - bit grizzly and no smiles. Made it v difficult to think leaving him there would be a good thing Next session is on Wednesday 10.30-2.30.

On the plus side, whilst he was there, I went into Reigate and spent £125 on a new pair of long black boots

Gin - that must have been v scary with Blue. Fingers crossed she'll recover quickly. Hope the twins aren't ill for too long either. and at you contemplating another! I think I've said before, in my ideal little world, I'd have loved to have had a large family of 6 or more but time running out now

Kayzr · 01/02/2010 14:06

Ses, glad you are all better and that O didn't get ill. O sounds like he had fun at nursery, bless him.

DS1 starts pre-school in September. OMG where has the last 3 years gone??

I have just asked DH if we can have sex tonight and then if I don't get pg we'll stop until August.

I must be mad!!

essenceofSES · 01/02/2010 14:08

Kay - Go for it!!

Kayzr · 01/02/2010 14:10

I am pretty sure I ovulated yesterday so we might be too late. But we'll give it a go.

essenceofSES · 01/02/2010 14:16

No! I'm sure I conceived O the day after I ovulated I remember persauding DH to have sex and promised him I might not pester him for another 9mo (Bless him he was starting to feel a lack of spontaneity!)

Right I'm off to try and get O to have a nice long afternoon nap

gingerbreadlatte · 01/02/2010 14:27

Hello everyone

Kay- go for it! how exciting. You are officially at the top of the wagon list for the next BFP so go for it.

I am amused at how many of us will be "trying" again soon....

Ses- glad you are feeling better. Sounds like the nursery session went okish, I am sure he will adjust very quickly.

How long until you go back?

Talking of D&V- turns out the SG had a bug since I got it at 2am last night and the DH at about 7am this morning. Not sure it was as bad as yours ses but still, not feeling great today.

Gin- sorry your little ones are poorly. Hope they recover soon. Reckon sickness is the hardest part of parenting.

Hi Tink.

Enjoy London Diege- shame tehre isnt time to arrange a meet up even if its for very quick coffee

I should really get back to working....

Rugbylovingmum · 01/02/2010 16:00

Hi all,

sorry I haven't been on for a while - I have been reading all your posts but DD always seems to wake up just before I get a chance to post anything myself. She is snoozing now so here goes...

Sorry for all the sickies, wagoners and LOs .

Kay - go for it. My DB and I both have birthdays just after xmas and DPs sibs all have their birthday in Feb. It's maybe not ideal but not a major prob either.

Ses - sorry O was upset but I'm sure he will settle in quickly. It sounds like a nice place.

Diege - enjoy having some time for yourself and lots of sleep.

Cant - sounds like you are pretty close to talking yourself and DH into ttc. Will it be a race between you and Kayz?

Max - hope DS enjoys the party!

Hi Tink, Ginger, Gin and anyone else I've missed.

Well we've had a friend and her DD (2y) over for the day. It was great - I really miss adult conversation some weeks - and her DD was fascinated by C. We should be heading out to swimming now but I'm waiting for somene to fix our tumble dryer. They said somene would be here between 8 and 5 so I've waited in all day and it looks like he'll be here at 5 - typical . We could have gone to the park then out for lunch after all. Oh dear, I hear DD stirring....

maxxymoosmummy · 01/02/2010 16:50

decided not to take DS to the party as were both full of a cold again, and DS is fairly wingy / tired. hes currently fast asleep. so goo djob decided against going. the times were just too late for him i think.

tinksbabyis1 · 01/02/2010 17:42

go kay

ses - glad u r over it - we all had noro virus over xmas horrid!!!!

max - oh dear

Kayzr · 02/02/2010 05:53

Morning.

No GOF here last night as I fell asleep before DH came upstairs. So not sure if we are going to be too late tonight but hopefully we'll give it a go.

gingerbreadlatte · 02/02/2010 07:51

Morning
Very quick sneaky post from the office.

Shame about the GOF Kay... tonight will be good Im sure though

Tink/ Ses- how do you know if its norovirus or something else? What ever DD had was v contagious and we were all ill... I am dreading this being a smallfry bug and we have the norovirus yet to come.....

essenceofSES · 02/02/2010 08:02

Morning!
I'm lying in bed with a sleeping O beside me. He woke at 6.45 and I brought him into bed for a feed and he fell asleep again about half an hour ago!

Ginger - I've had norovirus twice now and it's just really extreme d&v with usually more v than d. The sickness is regular and frequent (every 10mins for the first few hrs with me on Saturday). It is v v contagious so it is possible that is what you had.

Kay - keep wanting to respond to your despair about your football team.... Don't think you'd appreciate comments from a Spurs fan though

gingerbreadlatte · 02/02/2010 08:25

Hi Ses- Great news about O going back to sleep. The SG does that quite often now I feed her at 6am in the bed then leave her with DH. Its fab!

Re Norovirus - my V wasn?t anything like that extreme so maybe it wasn?t norovirus?. And DD was only sick once properly?.
Very nervous now? I have a vomit aversion (read that as phobia!) of others being sick- so an ill child is my idea of hell!

maxxymoosmummy · 02/02/2010 08:41

morning everyone
woke up this morning with my cold being even worse than yesterday, just hope it clears up, and me and DS dont pass it to each ther if one gets rid. And also hoping that DSs isnt worse too.
ill hae to wait till he wakes up as hes still fast asleep. nd showing no sign of waking soon.
altho if he was ill with it or it was worse he wouldnt have slept all the way through im guessing. but then again hes sooo lazy.
not good about all these bugs / illness about.

tinksbabyis1 · 02/02/2010 09:33

oh no max get well soon

Starshinetiger · 02/02/2010 10:36

Hi All,
Should not be logging on, but am working from home today as not feeling 100% and have no face-to-face meetings today, so figured I may as well save myself the drive both ways. Needing a break from the spreadsheets and it's only 10.25am!

Ginger - sorry for bugs. Are you emetophobic then? Not nice. I did read a tip on here many moons ago - if you have a sickly child spread a towel over yourself (or have one handy so you can grab it easy), then you can still cuddle them and if they're ill it will mostly go on towel and then you can bundle up towel and deal with it when necessary - saves your clothes too, but they still get a cuddle. Hope you are all over it now.

Ses - yay for nice lie-in with O. Is he doing better with sleeping then?

Tink - you truly are shopping queen!

MMM - hope you feel better too. We all have colds in our house - where is spring?!

Kayz - yay at someone mentioning GOFing and TTCing already. Sooo exciting. You know the time will speed by even if you decide to wait a few months - look how the time seems to have flown since the wagon threads first started way back when and now you have an over 1 year old to show for it

Diege - hope you had a good night off and the trip to London is worth it.

Feeling very introspective at the moment here, so trying not to spend too much time on MN. Am spending inordinate amount of time pondering the thought of another DC.... Pretty sure DH won't go for it, but if he did, would want to have within next year, as we're not getting any younger! But, with morning sickness I get, isn't really fair on DH and DC to put them through that, plus DD is still a baby and would be under-2 when DC3 arrived if all went to plan, plus we'd need to get another car and the DC would need to share rooms (which isn't a bad thing, but DS is such a good sleeper and DD not so much yet!)... as you can see so much going round in my head. Is silly really as we wouldn't start trying until after half-marathon anyway, so may as well not even think about it yet, but I can't help mysel and when I'm out running, I have plenty of time to think...

anyway, there's my ramble... trying not to think of lovely squishy babies... You'd think that with DD still waking on average 2x a night between 7.30 and 6.30 it'd be the last thing on my mind!

Hope you are all having good days. I have the heating cranked up, sitting on sofa with blanket on me and nice warm laptop on my lap... Could just doze off... oh no, am supposed to be working

maxxymoosmummy · 02/02/2010 10:48

thanks, im sure we will get over it at sum point. its jus one after another in this weather isnt it. well me DS and my sister are off into town then maybe poppin round to CANTS whilst were up that way.
hope eveyrone has a good day. and ill be back on later.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 02/02/2010 11:12

Star- i also feel mad for thinking about DC4... Still up most nights with DD2 the last few weeks, she's still so far off walking and talking if i was to get pg now i wonder if she'd even be walking before DC4 arrived... We only have 3 bedrooms atm, making a 3rd within the next 6mths... we'd need a 7 seater car... most likely need a double pram.... BUT i really really want another baby!!

My thinking is i could be sterilised while i had an ELCS couldn't i? if not i'd be done asap after the birth... right now we're only using condoms for protection and even then we 'dip' so could fall pg by accident really... but DH is starting to come round, agreed on a name, agreed on sort of car we'd need etc... but he thinks we'd be thought of as stupid by our friends who still dont have kids... we dont really know many people with kids...

Tink- well done on boden order.

Rugby- hello

Diege- hope your escape was fun!! what i wouldn't give for a night off!! haha!!

hello everyone else!!

tinksbabyis1 · 02/02/2010 12:26
