Morning,

We have bloody snow!!! I don't want more fecking snow!! We have to go to MILs today for nieces birthday. So will have to drag the bloody pushchair through the snow, plus DS1 will probably want to go in the pushchair because he is still ill.

Sorry for the moan!!

gingerbreadlatte · 30/01/2010 09:55

Morning ladies... I do hope you remember who I am..... ?

Can I firstly say I MISS THE WAGON!!!! Phew, got that over with. As much as I want to I just cant start looking at MN at work (am in a client office) as I know one catch up when its quiet will be like giving chocolate to a chocoholic- I will be hooked and be hitting F5 for the rest of the day....

Wow, what an exciting week its been mainly due to Nat

Diege · 30/01/2010 11:24

GINGER!!! Hello! Of course you are remembered . I have to say I found myself nodding furiously at your account of weekends (wait till hols...). I'll admit to getting very irritated with dh most weekends, and usually having one big 'blow out' argument I have to say that, on occasion I'm glad when Monday comes...not good I know. I think in part it's down to tiredness, plus the inevitable competitive 'who's done more and deserves the lie-in' conversation. I wish it could say it gets better, but now I just try and let things go, have something to look forward to in the evenings (even if it's just trashy telly...ok, it's always trashy telly, choccy and a mag )and try and do my best to get out somewhere with the dds (and ds!)We don't often get time together (so dh will take older dds to do food shop, giving them their lunch in the cafe), I'll take dd3 and ds to park, so we try and get them to bed by 7 so that we have time to argue together.I realise I am not helping in the least, but at least you know you're no alone . Bad luck of sickness and nursery too - I know too well that sinking feeling when you realsie it's nursery.
KAYZ, SNOW!!! How can you have SNOW!!! It's costa del Warrington here I feel your pain with buggy 'pushing' throguh the snow - can't imagine how it must be with a P&T.
GRUFF, I think you are doing brilliantly with your mum's illness, and please ignore stupid, insensitive comments. That can't help, and the highs and lows you talk about are surely how most people experience things like this? I think you're great
SES, sounds a blissful afternoon in Costa coffe! Hope you're recovered from the poorlies.
TINKS, hope you're ok too - and good that you are dealing with your anxieties. On subject of mini boden, neighbour explained that she was ordering early to avoid them running out of stock (thought of you) so now I'm thinking I should get a move on!
Hi to everyone else! Must go as ds 'creating'!

tinksbabyis1 · 30/01/2010 11:32

diege - if u check website somethings are going out of stok already
i am ordering on tuesday then the following month

kay - sorry for snow it can be a pain it is sunny here and freeeezzing

essenceofSES · 30/01/2010 11:55

Morning!

Snow here too! Less than an inch though and the sun's out so prob won't last long.

Ginger - I'd been wondering how you were getting on. Great that the nursery has worked out so well. As for DHs, grrrrr! We'll have a different set up though as I'll be leaving for work at about 7.30am on a Saturday and won't be back until early afternoon, so DH will be doing his share then.

He's actually having an enforced practice run today as my d&v hit with avengeance at 1am. Can yo believe I was vomiting every 10mins for nearly 3hrs???!!! As you can imagine I'm feeling quite drained and don't ever want to have to eat again. (Sure I will!).
Mum's going to come over this afternoon for an hour or so whilst DH is Megan proofing the garden and I think I'll have a bath and rest.

Hello Kay, Tink, Diege and any lurkers!

Diege · 30/01/2010 11:57

OMG TINKS I'm going to have to check now Sounds like a good morning - pizzas sound yummy
I'm taking dd1 and dd3 out for their tea in town this afternoon (dd1 has eye appointment too); dd2 going to a sleep over. Lovely and sunny here, though haven't been out yet so may be freezing. Right, where's that Boden site.

Diege · 30/01/2010 11:59

SES oh no! It must have been that panini after all Rest up and get better soon x (oh and working sats does seem like quite a good option for the likes of me and GING I think )

gingerbreadlatte · 30/01/2010 12:14

Just a thought- I missed off Cosmo! Hi Cosmo

Star- meant to tell you that I followed your advice about the breat feeding. I decided to wait til I was back at work then decide whether to quit the morning and evening feeds. So far its working out well. I feed early, go to work then pick up in time to do bedtime feed and bed. I am so pleased I didnt quit before hand as the bedtime feed is lovely. Not so sure she is getting huge amounts of milk but the bonding time is lovely.

gingerbreadlatte · 30/01/2010 12:18

sorry Diege and Tink. Xposted there.

Thanks for comments Diege, glad we arent alone but sorry you feel like that too at times. Last weekend was so bad I was starting to wonder about the entire relationship Will take your advice about getting time for stuff. Sometimes I just want the SG all to myself at the weekends!

when does anyone with kids working full time get time for S.E.X ?

Bugger for the snow Kay.I am not sure I could face any more down here. It looks great but such hassle.

gingerbreadlatte · 30/01/2010 12:22

oh no Ses, so sorry for the D&V. Awful, hope DH does give you plenty of rest time.

Diege · 30/01/2010 13:21

Four times in 8 years GINGER
Have purchased 3 dresses for dd3, rompersuits, t-shorts for ds from Boden TINKS Are you on commission? . Size-wise I went for 18-23 mths for ds. He's grown out of his 6-12mth stuff from there, and figured that as he'd be in 12-18 mth now, that the next size up from that would be better for summer. Does seem awfully big a size to go for though when he's not 1 till June

tinksbabyis1 · 30/01/2010 16:49

ses - oh no o hate runs sickness as well is horrid!!! u do feel so drained after!!!
hope u r feeling back to normal soon!!

diege - u beat me 2 it - for dd1 i am going for dresses in age 4-5 and t-shirts in 5-6 which seems like a big size 2!!

largeginandtonic · 31/01/2010 10:23

Morning

Been skim reading apols. Has been manic few days here.

Nice to see you Ginger.

I have no idea how work/home can be balanced. I get grumpy with dh when he comes in the door because i am convinced i do far more than him at work It is TRUE. He takes it well and mucks in.

I didn't take Blue to the doc that morning. I should have though. Picked up dh at lunchtime and we went to Waitrose, trolley full of food and i noticed Blue was looking very ropey.

She was incredibly hot and as we looked at her this awful rash spread over her. We abandoned the trolley and rushed to the GP. Her temp was 40.2.The doc said the rash was not Meningitis but sent us to hosp.

She was seen by a muppet SHO and i asked for a consultant. Turns out she has double ear infection and tonsilitis Sent home 4 hours later with antibiotics. She has improved massively since then.

Sorry for the D&V it is hellish. Must have been food poisoning No panninis for you for a while!

Maxxy you sound organaised with ds. I wing each day. Too many of them to follow any kind of predictable pattern.

Tink shopping... I had no idea you were on anti d's either. Anxiety over what? [nosy emoticon] feel free to ignore me. I have held a packet of anti d's fora week once but didn't take them. It was when i found out dd1 had Turners Syndrome. I think i went in to shock rather than depression. Couldn't eat, was sick all the time. It was awful. They are still in the cupboard.

Do you think they are working a bit? Poor you.

Right who is trying for a baby? I need a baby to squidge.

tinksbabyis1 · 31/01/2010 12:09

hi gin

i get anxiuos about change and going places mostly

poor blue that must have been a shock. glad she is on the mend

cantmummyhaveabreak · 31/01/2010 15:35

LG&T- i'm supposed to be 'waiting' for about 8-9 years to even consider it.... but i'm on at DH to start TTc asap!! I'm the most broody i have EVER been and i dont know what to do!!.... Glad blue is ok, must have been horrid, DD2's temp was 40.2 when she was ill, was diagnosed as a virus and she was over the worst within a couple of days.

Snow here this morning. has melted on the other side of the rd but not on ours ... dont wanna walk to school in ice!!

tinksbabyis1 · 31/01/2010 18:32

wow cant snow!!!

we arent trying for anymore 2 is enough!!!

Kayzr · 01/02/2010 07:54

Morning,

Cant, you will never last 8-9 years!!! We have horrible snow too.

LG&T, Hope Blue is feeling better soon. We still have the poorlies here too. DS1 is being really feeble, he is fine until someone asks him how he is.

It is now February so it is nearly august. So nearly TTC time. I really am deluded!!

maxxymoosmummy · 01/02/2010 08:36

morning, not been on yesterday, and not caught up properly. just thought id post a message whilst i have chance.
DS is t a birthday party tonight. well 4 - 7.30 but if he doesnt last till then ive let them know ill have to leave as hes normally in bed at 6 ish. need to go out and get a present today and card today. bit last minute i know :/

Diege · 01/02/2010 10:07

Morning! Light snow here, but nothing compared to what it was. Very cold though!
LG&T, poor Blue That must have been very scary. Hoping she (and you) recover from it soon xx
MMM what a Sat you had! My god I would have decked the drunk for falling in the buggy - was very on your behalf! Good luck with party - that's a long one - my lot would never last till that time and they're a lot older!
KAYZ, lol at Feb being close to August It's sort of true though, as by end of month it'll start to feel more spring-like, then you're almost in summer!

LG&T, are you having anymore babies then?
Think 4 is my limit here, though never say never and all that. I am finding it really exhasting at the moment, so if we were to ttc no.5 it'd be when ds was 2 or 3, and I would be into early 40s then, so couldn't take it forgranted that it would happen anytime soon!
CANT snort at 8 years I think you'll be lucky to wait 8 months tbh

Hi TINKS! Sounds like you're happy with 2, though imagine the baby shopping possibilities

Well I'm off to London on train at 11am for an exam meeting tomorrow. Am staying over in hotel, then returning tomorrow evening. Felt very sad saying goodbye to ds (and dds of course but now I'm feeling quite excited The sleep!!!!
So booking my overnight wagin pass now, and speak to you all when I get back!

largeginandtonic · 01/02/2010 10:47

Tink poor you love. Hope you have it under control now

CANT pmsl at waiting 8-9 years! Good luck with that one

Diege 4 was a lovely number. If you go to 5 will you have to even it out with 6?

Kay how is ds today? On the mend?

Blue is well and truly on the mend. Playing and running round again. The antibiotics are giving her dreadful nappies though. In to her toes and up to her neck. Tis such fun

I have the twins home today with the flippin bug. Will it never end?!

I think i will probably have another. I would like to wait till Blue is 2. This may mean i have gone past the baby longing stage so it may be Blue is the last. Not sure really.

I need to get my body back in to shape too. Am not happy with it atm. Have just ordered a Cross Trainer to help me along a bit. My back is rubbish atm so am limited on what i can do.

I want to get back in to my clothes!

Maxxy have fun at the party! That is quite late. Some of mine would'nt last that long.

Kayzr · 01/02/2010 10:52

DS1 isn't too bad. He is just whinging really, keeps complaining he has a sore throat but then starts shouting.

I think I might bring TTC forward to July. April isn't much different to May.

Diege · 01/02/2010 11:20

Those nappies sound horrendous G&T! Hey we may be ttc-buddies if you decide to go for no.8! I think 5 would be it for me, as the even number thing/symmetry has gone to pot really with having a boy . It's one of those things when one minute I think, yes bring it on, the next I shudder that I've even considered having another!
KAYZ, if you weren;t so keen on waiting due to the birthday/getting in shape thing I'd say get on with it Before you know it you will have reasoned March into July
Right, I really am off now - train and 12.20 and I want to buy a book (and chocs, pamering stuff, etc etc - I am sad I know )

maxxymoosmummy · 01/02/2010 11:35

ye it does seem a long party, really dont think DS will make it to the end. and not sur ei will either. got a cold again so feeling rather drained. not even got dressed yet, and need to go into town too. haha. not good.
hope you have a good night off DIEGE
