3 x BFP this morning!

Even bought an expensive clearblue digital test to be sure!

My DD will be 1st September 2010 and this will be my 2nd baby. My DS was 2 weeks late so will def be September not August!!!

Anyone else...?

Maitri I can relate I also wanted a last crack before menopause too and now that I am pregnant I keep thinking is this what I want.........yes it is and I'm thinking too far ahead about things (hence some a little selfish) like my sleep for one. My DD has only settled done to sleeping all night this year and she is 5. Sleep depravation is the worse form of torture imo . I work 3 days a week and now she is at school I have a little time to myself (keeps me sane). Then there's the financial side, it will be a real struggle with childcare fees and can't really afford to give up work - will cross that bridge when the time comes I suppose. On the other hand I will relish every day of my pregnancy as it will be my last and looking forward to the arrival of mine and DH's creation (cheesy but true) sigh!

foxyjbro99 · 14/01/2010 13:28

I think this baby must be a girl.

I've already got 2 dds and all of my pregnancies, apart from the one where is mc, have been the same.

I feel sick all day, especially at night, but am never actually sick.

It's like feeling travel sick permanently, I can't get away from it, horrible!!

I think I'm going to have the swine flu vaccination.

I too had a moment last night and today, wondering what the hell I'm doing!! My life was so lovely before, now I feel rubbish all of the time. Can't bear to be around dh at the mo either. Hoping it will all pass!!

4 weeks & 6 days to go!!!!!!! xx

mcfee · 14/01/2010 14:15

IRISHGAL1 Mine wasn't internal as I think they can do the regular ultrasound from about 6 weeks or so. Yours might be though, phone your local EPU and check.

Stickhasgrownup · 14/01/2010 14:47

Maitri - I always go through that when I'm preganant... I think it has something to do with the fact that I concieve very easily...so never truely feel I've really thought it through and then its too late!!
I also seem to dislike dh around this stage... think its because I feel so awful and its not fair! Luckily that too seems to pass after a few weeks!

I saw my GP yesterday and I think that I will get the swine flu jab for my dd now and wait for mine until my second trimester.
I'm seeing the midwife on Monday, so will also discuss with her. Don't seem to hear much about swine flu these days...

Hello everyone,

I'm very new to this as this is my first time...

We have been trying for over 2 years now and couldn't believe our eyes when we got positive result on Boxing Day! Was the most amazing Christmas present ever!
Have been holding off posting as it all seems too good to be true after waiting so long but we went for an early scan today and saw our little bean measuring all of 7mm complete with tiny heartbeat!!

We've been given a due date of 6th September.

Feeling v. nauseous and absolutely shattered all the time - but never been so happy to be sick and tired!

Anyway - congratulations everyone!

Thanks everyone - feeling much better to know that I'm not the only one who has been freaking out! I'm truly delighted to be pregnant too but seem to spend far too much time scanning ahead to find problems for myself!

Welcome Boostar and CONGRATULATIONS!!

LilyPad72 · 15/01/2010 15:15

Welcome BooStar. And 'snap' me too - over 2 years and lots of nasties along the way to overcome - but finally the little blue cross of joy! I'm still not sure I believe it, though - every time I go to the GP, she tells me something else that frightens the life out of me - ectopic, hcG levels, the works. Am hoping the roller coaster ride evens out a bit soon - don't feel I can enjoy this yet 'just in case it goes wrong'...

I wish you luck!

heather1980 · 15/01/2010 15:43

i actually cried when i got my +ve test, this is #3 for us and my other two are 3.2 and 16 months. i was very freaked out by it all but it's sunk in now i think!
i'm having a home birth too. ds was a hb and it was amazing.
i'm not impressed however at the bump that i have developed, i'm only 5 weeks ffs!

bloominnorah · 15/01/2010 16:00

I didn't cry when got +ve test, think mainly because I didn't believe it! We had considered trying for DC2 this year at some point but Christmas night...too many wines...and unprotected sex...led to it happening a little quicker than we thought!

I'm still really pleased it happened mind you.

Bellepink · 15/01/2010 20:26

Stickhasgrownup: when you said "I always go through that when I'm preganant... I think it has something to do with the fact that I concieve very easily...so never truely feel I've really thought it through and then its too late!!" I could have written it myself. It nails exactly how I feel.

In the day I feel great about it all and really positive, but in the evenings I feel a bit nervous and worry about things... like telling work I am pg, managing a baby and a toddler, trying to lift/manage a toddler when I have a huge bump, where on earth we will store a double buggy... list goes on!

Anyway, hope everyone is feeling ok. I feel exactly the same as normal but then I'm only 5 and a bit weeks I am developing a craving for fresh orange juice though!

CLB1 · 15/01/2010 23:16

Hi All,

I found out a few weeks ago I was pg. we were trying and hit it on the 1st try. Systems sickness, sore boobs, tiredness and terrible mood swings. Still doesnt seem real, have my 1st midwife appt a week on monday so hopefully that will help.

I have added myself to the list already. Congrats to everyone, I'm so excited.

MammyG · 15/01/2010 23:57

Hello - delighted to be joining!
Got horrible news last weekend that my dad is losing his battle against cancer and there is nothing more they can do for him. Then yesterday got BFP and am due 21/09/10 - My dads birthday! Good omen - hopefully he will still be here.
No symptoms yet but DS1 has had chicken pox all week so not sure if knackered from that or pregnancy just yet! Heres to all the fun ahead

Stephief · 16/01/2010 06:54

Hi,

Can I join?

Got a bfp yesterday, not exactly planned, in fact you ladies on here are the only other people in the world who know right now (havent even told oh yet!) Got my positive on a cheapo poundland test so went and bought one of the digital ones which said 3+ weeks so dont have a due date yet, but will definately be sept 10!

This will be number four for me, my others are 8, 7 and 19 months. I also had another dd who would be 9 now, but she was stillborn.

Just wanted to say to MammyG, I read your post and it made me feel so sad, my dad passed away a week before I found out I was expecting my last baby and it was so hard trying to enjoy my pregnancy whilst feeling so wretched about my dad. I hope things work out for you, and wish your dad all the best.

Anyway, will add my dd when I get one!

comixminx · 16/01/2010 11:40

Hi all,

Have just found this thread (being a MN newbie so didn't know all the stuff that was out there) - got a BFP before Christmas and so had to tell 2 lots of parents (his and mine) to make sure I didn't get offered loads of drinkies! Especially his cos they live in France, and it's aperitifs, wine with starters, wine with dinner, dessert wine, then digestifs - if you're not careful you blow your entire week's units in a day or two!

I think the docs gave a due date of 2nd Sept but the MN calculator says the 27th August - am using later date as it's a first pg.

Hello to all the newbies! Wow the list is getting bigger now.

MammyG - sorry to hear about your sad news.

I don't feel so good today, have very sore stomach but no bleeding. I'm hoping its just bits stretching! Oh well, will just need to wait and see what happens

LadyRabbit · 16/01/2010 12:01

Hi everyone

First post on mumsnet, but if I don't tell someone other than the husband I shall go potty. Due 18/9/10 and after 2 mc as my only experience of pregnancy I am both keeping a lid on it and also feeling euphoric one minute and then completely panicked the next.

Done a ridiculous amount of tests (I could have probably bought a cot with the money I've spent on them!!), all coming back +ve, I know I should go and see my doctor but after previous disappointments I am scared of another scan with bad news, and think I should hang on for another fortnight before I get too excited. I feel very pg - my boobs are enormous (gone from a 32B to a 34C overnight, is this usual?) and my tummy is feeling stretchy and weird all the time. Need to pee loads too. Is this all ok? I don't recall feeling these symptoms so early the last few times. Never got morning sickness before and don't feel sick this time though, should I be worried?
Ta for listening, excuse me if I've gone on a bit!!

Congrats all of you adding to the class of Sept 2010 - I dearly hope I get to join you all!

Maitri · 16/01/2010 12:15

Hey! LadyRabbit - Congratulations! Yes, it definitely sounds to me as if you're pregnant! LOL! My due date is the 17/9 and I've got the boobs thing too - huge and painful. My bladder also seems to be the size of a hazelnut now too as I'm up three or four times every night for a wee. And the stretchy tummy thing too - it's the one thing that I'm not enjoying too much. I don't feel particularly sick either but this is #3 for me and my pregnancy with ds was identical to this one. Pregnancy with dd was entirely different - I felt very sick for much of the time.

Welcome and keep asking the questions as much as you like. x

LadyRabbit · 16/01/2010 13:19

Hi Maitri - thanks so much for the info! I think the getting up 3 times in the night (same here!!) is preparation for sleepless nights...
I'll probably go for an early scan week after next - and if that goes well, I shall add my name to the list.
On the plus side, I have always been optimistic about being a B cup (i.e. lying to myself) - now I have this chest I'm not sure what to do with it!!

CLB1 · 16/01/2010 14:28

Hay LadyRabbit,

I know what you mean about the boobs thing. Mine always seem to be in the way now no matter what I do, and I'm forever knocking them on things and yelping due to the soreness, lol. I don't I understood what I was getting myself into when I said yes to having a baby lol x

Dirtgirl · 16/01/2010 16:27

Hi LadyRabbit. Congrats on your pregnancy. Sounds like you have the symptoms, but every pregnancy is different.

I am relatively symptom free at the moment. If I hadn't done a test I'd think I wasn't, although I am having the pmt type pains I remember from last time. I just can't wait to grow larger and get a bump.

Am hoping this one's a girl.

TorOfHove · 16/01/2010 18:23

Hi all, and congratulations to you all!

I just this very afternoon have found out I am pregnant, and I don't quite believe it! I am literally over the mooon!!!

This is my first pregnancy, and I didn't really expect to be pregnant when I took the test, as although my period was late and boobs sore, I have had mild period pains and no real obvious symptons.

Can anybody clear up when I will be due, as I am getting confused

Last date of period 16/12
UPS 31/12

Many thanks,

Tor xxxx

MudandRoses · 16/01/2010 20:43

Hiya all
Tor - it's dated from the first day of your last period, so 40 weeks from then. There is a due date calculator here www.mumsnet.com/Pub?call=com.mumsnet.member.DueDateCalculatorPage

But I guess a scan will give you a more accurate due date (for me, my first day of my last period was Dec 10, but, like you, I'm pretty sure I didn't get pregnant til New Years Eve!!) Anyway. It's great to "meet" others in the same boat. This is my second baby, i'm excited but nervous already. DS is four, feel like we've finally cracked sleeping, eating, morning routine, etc! EEk.

I'm having quite a lot of aching and discomfort in the lower stomach, is this normal - anyone else?

MnR

bloominnorah · 16/01/2010 21:09

Hey Mnr, Congrats!

Yes I feel exactly the same, in fact posted earlier in the day to say had very sore stomach and was starting to think the worst. Its not quite so bad now, but still crampy and my boobs are agony!

I have a 3 year old DS and we had everything cracked so must be mad to do it all again!

Whats your due date then? My last period 11th December but conceived on Christmas night.

MudandRoses · 16/01/2010 22:15

Hi Bloominorah!
I haven't been to the doc, but my last period was Dec 10 and I conceived (i think) on NYE. The Due date calculator said sep 18th. It's scary isn't it?! I feel like it's too early to tell people (especially with these odd pains, which I don't remember from last time) but can't seem to keep quiet!
I'm going to make an appointment with the doc tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything's ok with us both! Im sure it is.

MnR
