3 x BFP this morning!

Even bought an expensive clearblue digital test to be sure!

My DD will be 1st September 2010 and this will be my 2nd baby. My DS was 2 weeks late so will def be September not August!!!

OK, I'm jumping in after lurking around for a few weeks. Hello All. I'm due 19th Sept. Have a ds aged 3. Have been feeling a bit superstitious as had a mc in October and have already seen at least 1 name from my previous thread leave this one with bad news. Congrats to everyone and look forward to chats and stories. Dh nodding off in front of Match of the Day so time for bed!

Will add myself to the list tomorrow.

I haven't told anyone yet either. We live in a small community and don't want everyone to know too early. I've not been to the doc either, will try wait a bit longer!

Can I join too please. I did a positive test yesterday and I think I am due on 12th September. No idea when my last period was but I know for sure that I conceived on the 22nd December!

I already have a DD of 14 months and live in West London. This baby wasn't exactly planned - we had decided that we would for another this year, when we had settled into our new house etc etc, but seems we were lucky first go.

I am slightly worried as I had a bad cold over Christmas and took quite a few painkillers before I knew I was pregnant - as well as drinking quite a bit with all the festivities.

I currently feel tired, sick and very, very hormonal!

Stephief and Bloominnorah - thank you! I have told my dad. But warned him to keep it quiet as am only 5 weeks. He has a doctor appointment next week where they will discuss life expentancy so wanted to give him something to look forward to - He beamed! It will be a tough year (my mom has only recently finished treatment and got the all clear as dad got his news) But at least there will be a positive aspect!
Want to keep quiet as live in very small town but dying to tell people! No real symptoms yet just shattered - same on DS1 - felt like someone unplugged me. Would feel better if I had more symptoms. Oh and peeing all night but thats not too unusual for me.

Sammy, you're not alone about drinking at Christmas. I wonder if September babies are adversely affected by Christmas. Hope not.

Please can I join too? Conceived on Christmas Day (I knowm too funny) and been told my due date is probably September 17th. This will be my first so very nervous and not sure what to expect. Boobs very sore and slight nausea, plus achy tummy.
We've told parents but no one else which is soooo hard! Would love to talk to anyone in same boat.

I conceived Christmas night and have same due date as you though this is my second child. I have exactly same symptoms as you.

Yes its hard not to tell people when you want to shout it from the rooftops!

Morning everyone and congratulations to all the new additions! Look at that list!

It was DD2's 3rd birthday yesterday and we had lots of family round so it was hard not to tell anyone, but we've made up our minds to wait for the first scan before making any announcements. It's nice to be able to chat here instead!

I am 7 and a bit weeks, and already I've put my maternity jeans on . My other jeans are just cutting in too low and are making the sickness even worse. I've felt much better since I gave in! I'm pleased to report they are way too baggy, but unbelievably comfy. I'm sure my stomach is saying 'ah yes, I remember, this is the bit where I have to get really big. May as well start now'!

I also bought a hooded top from Jojo Maman Bebe in the sale for a fiver! Bargain.

swordfish, it was dd1s b'day yesterday, she was 5! So told mil & fil. She had a swimming party!! Felt awful all day, but at least it was a distraction!
I went out on sat and bought some maternity jeans . Fil cheered me up by saying he'd guessed due to my fat face !!!
I'm gonna be massive & already planned post sept diet!!

I'm rubbish at dieting (hence it took me 2 years to get rid of pregnancy weight gain!). I can manage eating sensibly most of the time but not in too small portions...(by the way first timers: breastfeeding doesn't always make you lose weight as you are hungry all the time).

Is anyone out there exercising? I naturally incline to laziness, but find it a good antidote to feeling down. I have been having the odd swimming lesson (can swim but never learned to swim front crawl ) and had started one of the Davina fitness DVD's just after Christmas. I'd like to get a decent pregnancy fitness DVD as will be staying away from home for 3 weeks in Feb and don't fancy walks in the dark by myself. Any tips?

Just been having a quick read through everyone's posts. MammyG - sorry to read about your dad but what a positive thing you're giving him to focus on!

Bloominnorah - my last period was on the 11th December, and although I initially thought I conceived on Dec 31st (had EWCM on that date), I've since taken a Clearblue Digital test and it's suggesting 3+ wks since conception. So that'd mean I conceived on Christmas Day too - snap!

I'm quite reassured by that - better being 5wks pregnant than 4. But I don't understand the EWCM if I was already pregnant by then... Can anyone enlighten me?!

Hi Dirtgirl, I know, 5 is alot of DC but my two oldest ar 17 and 15 and really easy in the grand scheme of things, it's my 2.9 and 1.4 Ds s that cause the havoc!

Thats good Whiteroses, we can compare symptoms!

Im putting off going to the doc till I'm about 9 weeks I think. Last time I was referred by the doc to Maternity - they said what was I doing there so early! (I was about 6 weeks at the time)

September seems so far away though I'm hoping time will go a bit quicker once everyone knows about it

I'm sick, sick, sick...
My routine seems to be get out of bed... Retch in the loo for a few mins... go have some breakfast... Shower and jump out mid flow to be sick... School run whilst sucking extra strong mints!... Home and nibble a bit more on and off to try and get rid of sickness... Nap time 1-2 hours!... Lunch... school run... Nibble more to try and feel less sick... Sort kids... Supper... finally feel less sick, but off to bed shortly after 9pm!
Lets hope this doesn't last too long!

Saw the Midwife today and its all changed since dc2. Apparently they now have to see you twice before your first scan (at 12 weeks plus 4) and today was just a meeting... booking in will be within about 2 weeks.
They also said I'll need a dating scan as they need to know my dates so Nuecal (sp?) scan can be done at 12+4 exactly.
So thats exciting... I get to see LO sometime soon . So I guess my due date may be changing.
I didn't know when my LMP was, but did an educated guess...

Any news from Oopsididitagain or Hopefully? I'm assuming the worst ...

Hey Stickhasgrownup, sorry to hear you so sick, though I'm sure it wont be long before I'm joining you! I was sick for the whole of my last pregnancy, so have to assume this one might be the same

Interesting what you said about appointments, in that case I might not leave it so late before being referred to maternity!

1st baby im 37, concieved after 3 months of trying so very lucky I guess. Sore boobs and period like pains in lower tummy. Releived to see others with this symptom too. MW appt a week Weds Good luck everyone xxx

All official today! Doc was lovely as my other two tore up her office and burned her ear off with Q's! Its like they have sensed something is up esp DS2. DS1 just recovering from chickenpox but both are so out of whack and not sleeping! Add that to the face that I may as well move into the bathroom by night means I am a picture of health - NOT! Am not sick tho didnt have that before but feel nearly drugged with tiredness. Hate having to work! Wish I could tell people - am disaster at keeping these things to myself! Hmmm dont think early pregnancy brings out the best in me? Had really frazzled evening just trying to settle the other two and have more work to do - Im mad adding to the mayhem! (tho still chuffed with myself! - yep mad!)
