I got my BFP yesterday, AF not due til Sunday Tested again this morning just to make sure I didn't dream it.

Have been very sick already which is what prompted me to test, also very very tired.

Looking forward to seeing other people on this exciting journey

Sea swimming? Must be blinking FREEZING at this time of year vino. Would love to do it though, but we live in London so a bit of a trek.

Tee hee at all the exploding boobs. Mine have got slightly bigger but my arse seems to have grown exponentially already . I think I'm going to be pregnant all over just like last time, waaaaahh...

Flowery don't panic. After you give birth, and your milk comes in, your boobs will be unrecognisably huge and will stay that way until your supply calms down. Mine were comedy for about 3 months!

Muser · 12/12/2009 19:40

Just snuck in to see what everyone else's symptoms are. Saw your posts PDR, hope things go ok. I'm waiting to find out if I'm pregnant or if I've miscarried, it's horrible not knowing.

I've been bleeding since Wednesday, just a little bit. Would be around 4/5 weeks (all a bit complicated by a false period I had). I had bloods taken on Thursday night and they were too low to book a scan, so I'm going back tomorrow for another blood test. That way they can see whether my hormone level is increasing or not.

I'm not very hopeful, but my boobs did get massive and sore last night so I'm hoping that's a sign my hormones are increasing. I hope next week brings good news for both of us PDR!

BunnyBaby · 12/12/2009 20:09

Hello muser good luck with the test tomorrow, it sounds positive that your pregnancy symptoms are increasing .

Thanks all for the lovely comments around the 'orrible doctor. She really upset me last time that I wrote a letter to my GP to complain about there. This time I smiled and my inner voice said 'pity her - pity her' which made it bearable.

Feeling sick and struggling to sleep if I've eaten too much stodge.

DH had day off today so we had a lovely day as a family which is too rare. I'll be in bed soon.

bigmuther65 · 12/12/2009 20:20

Sorry for another me me me post really been sick all day again not just feeling sick being sick really worried about the bean as don,t think i am getting enough nutrients through.I stood on the scales and i have lost about 8lbs in one week, but i am on the large size 16st should i be worried ?

BunnyBaby · 12/12/2009 20:41

I think the main risk with being sick is dehydration. Everytime I'm ill like that, (when not pregnant) I lose weight (sometimes 4-5lbs), but it's usually water and goes back on as soon as I recover.

Luckily I'm just nauseous and haven't been properly sick yet.

I would perhaps call NHS direct and check with them if you are worried. Are you keeping anything down?

EdgarAleNPie · 12/12/2009 21:23

gah. sick. tired. amazed i'm stil awake.

boobs: inflated more, though hard to tell if this is because DS is feeding more as he has a cold.

slight dribble in knickers - some pain- but - well - just have to take it as it comes. have made sure me Fanny-jo is nice and clean so i can tell if anything fresh appears...

(i'm sure you all wanted to know that)

have a day dog-sitting tomorrow which will be child-light and sofa intensive, all to the good.

have bought a maternity dress off ebay to wear this xmas as though not growing at this stage, anything with a tight waistband is really uncomfy.

re: unsympathetic doctor - - OMG! this person should not be near pregnant women!

MUSER/PDR - keep going ladies. every day is another day of growth - and you only ever have to deal with today

PDR · 12/12/2009 21:38

Muser Fingers crossed for you tomo - I hope your levels have increased! It's sooo horrible not knowing isn't it?!

My GP didn't mention bloods - maybe this would have been better as I could have seen an increase or not....

Thinking of you tomo good luck !!!!

Muser · 12/12/2009 22:03

Thanks PDR. It is all a bit stressful. I didn't even get to be excited about my positive result as I was already bleeding at that point!

Sending good vibes your way as well. We'll get through this.

tiany · 13/12/2009 00:07

Best of luck Muser, really hope its all ok for you!

vinocollapso · 13/12/2009 08:19

Fingers crossed PDR and Muser - let us know how you get on. As Edgar so wisely says, one day at a time.

Edgar - lovely, isn't it, the cycle of sick/tired/sick/tired? I've also done a bit of Ebaying but am sticking to anything tunic shaped at the moment as I feel huge.

Flowery - we all want what we don't have, huh? I'd kill for your lovely shape! I guess we should just all be happy and healthy.

Bigmutha - yes, just keep your liquids up as Bunny says. Hope you get some relief.

Gorgeous day here, I'm off for a walk along the beach and then some light Christmas shopping. I can feel a hot chocolate coming on!

xx

Chulita · 13/12/2009 09:16

BigMuther I lost 12lbs in the first 20 wks with DD, (I'm a size 10 usually so I don't have much leeway). I had hyperemesis and couldn't keep water down let alone food. We got through it and DD is absolutely fine, I've heard babies will drain every last ounce of nutrients out of you if needed so the mum can be a total wreck and the little bean will still be growing well. Keep harassing the doctor if you have the energy, see if they can offer you something to help. This will pass...
I spent the whole of yesterday in bed feeling like death. I ate half a bowl of dry Special K (not dieting, I just like them ) and threw it all back up with a bit of blood - was not impressed. I finally picked up at about 7pm and then went to bed a couple of hours later so DH had a lovely day looking after DD!
vino I'm at your energy, I just can't summon up the ertia to go for a walk.

PDR · 13/12/2009 09:50

Morning everyone...

Still bleeding today but still very light... since Friday morning now - shouldn't things be getting going if it was a MC? Trying to avoid those threads for now...

No pain though so guess that's still positive.

I'm at work today (alone in the office) but kind of want to pop out and buy another digital PG test to see if it still tests positive and if my weeks have gone up since I tested before....

Knowing my luck my boss will ring the minute I leave the building tho...

Muser · 13/12/2009 10:28

Be strong PDR. I'm contemplating doing the same thing. Even though I know it's crazy. Just had my second bloods taken. I can ring this evening for results.

PDR · 13/12/2009 11:09

I think I am going to pop to tescos. I will finish what I've started and then go.
Can't stand not knowing what's happening!
Hope you're ok? That's very good of them to do your bloods on a Sunday.
How is your blood loss? Very little still?
Fingers crossed for your results!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok

Muser · 13/12/2009 11:21

Yep, still light. I think it's stopping but it's so hard to tell. I've thought that a lot the past few days but then it comes back again. No clots, so that's some comfort.

I went to the emergency gynae clinic at the hospital, so they do tests all week long. So glad I took the MN advice to do that rather than go to my GP. The nurses have been wonderful.

Hope your Tesco test has a good result. Thinking of you.

Missus84 · 13/12/2009 11:29

I know when I last mc'd I had awful cramps and heavy bleeding within hours of the first spotting. It sounds like you two still have a lot of hope!

I also have two friends who bled heavily during pregnancy, including passing big clots, and one has a beautiful baby now and the other is due to drop any minute.

PDR · 13/12/2009 12:21

Oh dear.

The 1st CBD test is saying "not pregnant" so it would seem I have had an early MC.

Not sure if this is just the start as I have only had about 1/2 teaspoon blood loss since Friday.

Will start a new thread in the MC section.

Wishing everyone (esp Muser) luck with their August 2010 babies!

PDR

Muser · 13/12/2009 12:26

Oh I'm so sorry PDR. Do you think perhaps the test might be faulty? I think CBD tests are a bit prone to failure. I'm probably grasping at straws, but I really feel for you.

EdgarAleNPie · 13/12/2009 12:31

that's awful PDR

PDR · 13/12/2009 12:36

I have got 3 more lol but I think I am going to draw the line now. Wondering if more blood/pain/general debris is on the way tho?!

BunnyBaby · 13/12/2009 12:37

PDR, that's awful news (((big hugs)))

Crazycatlady · 13/12/2009 13:05

PDR I'm sorry . Thinking of you xx

bigmuther65 · 13/12/2009 13:07

PDR So sorry, but still hold out a little hope and go to doctors to try and arrange some blood tests.

bigmuther65 · 13/12/2009 13:13

muser Fingers crossed for you God this pregnancy thing is crap why can,t we skip the whole thing and all just have beautiful healthy babies

Missus84 · 13/12/2009 13:32

I'm so sorry to hear that PDR
