I got my BFP yesterday, AF not due til Sunday Tested again this morning just to make sure I didn't dream it.

Have been very sick already which is what prompted me to test, also very very tired.

Looking forward to seeing other people on this exciting journey

Could I join please, it's been a long time coming but finally got my BFP this morning

Liahgenispreggerswithnumber6 #6 21st August

Hello everyone.

Hope it goes well at clinic kaylo

NichyNoo · 10/12/2009 13:33

sayanything - thanks for dr recommendations!

vix206 - I seem to have lost my appetite as well. Feel hungry but nothing appeals and when I eat I feel full straight away. I'm liking cheese at the moment but not feeling like eating much else!

I seem to be loosing weight though - I think this is due to a fortnight of no alcohol (the longest I've been teetotal since I was 18)

Alicehasamincepieintheoven · 10/12/2009 13:38

Congrats Liahgen!!!!

Vix - i had cheese spread sandwich the other day and thought it tasted dusty. Can't stand tea atm, but black coffee is fine Last time i couldn't even go into the kitchen because of the smell of coffee

sayanything · 10/12/2009 14:49

Liaghen hello and congratulations - we used to be on a few conception threads together. It's so good to see you here too!

sayanything · 10/12/2009 14:50

And you'd think I'd have learnt to spell your name correctly by now. Liahgen. Doh.

vinocollapso · 10/12/2009 14:57

Wowee, so many new people - hello, hello to all of you and your little beans.

Vix yep, me too. Hungry/not hungry. When I'm eating something it tastes like the best thing ever, but immediately after I feel sick.

Crisps and marmite loaded crumpets seem to be my constant.

I feel HUGE! Yet I'm also convinced I'm not pregnant. I also think I'm going slowly nuts.

Anyway, enough of my navel gazing - how is everyone else, anybody had a good scan result recently? We must all be due?

Kaylo - how'd it go? All happy and healthy? xx

bigmuther65 · 10/12/2009 15:41

Well do you remember me saying the other day worried about not feeling sick i take it back, sick 6 times today and still counting.Feel absolutely awful i use the buses to get to work and this morning was horrendous, and why do i always get stuck next to the smelly person with BO.
CONGRATS to all the new comers good to see more of you from the august bus

vix206 · 10/12/2009 15:55

Ah vinocollapso I'm the opposite, starving until I get something in my mouth and then I feel sick! Bigmuther, sounds rough - 6 times today Hope you feel better quickly!

Silly question from me now, how long do you leave it before you call the doctors to go see them? I never go to the doctors and I'm not sure if I should go straightaway or have to wait until you are a certain number of weeks along?

irishmumwannabe · 10/12/2009 16:15

Hi Everyone,

Kaylo hope your scan went well today

Hi Liahgen I think I remember you from a few conception threads as well. Congratulations on getting to no. 6 - I've a long way to go to catch up.

Vix I am not going to the docs until Monday week - but that is mainly because I work so far from where I live and that's the first day I can get off.

vinocollapso my DH is praying I get cravings for marmite - when I was pg before (mc in July) the smell of it used to make me hurl this time not affected so much yet (fingers crossed)

Bigmuther sorry to hear your sickness has arrived.
I've had really bad nausea since Monday (one of the reasons I tested so early) and then yesterday had a little spotting which I'm hoping was implantation.

I can't wait until I get to 12 weeks - No scan for me until then unless I cave and get a private one.

vinocollapso · 10/12/2009 17:08

Oh lord Bigmutha, you poor thing. Hope you feel better soon!

Vix - I have a scan booked next Weds, which is 8 weeks. I've got an early one because I had a mc in July, and my first midwife appointment for blood and what not is also next week.

Hi Irish - good luck for next Monday, and I'm also wishing away the time away until 12 weeks!

Where's Kaylo - come on, honey, we're waiting for your news! xx

Chulita · 10/12/2009 17:56

Hello everyone! Congrats Liahgen, good to see you here
I've finally booked to see the doctor tomorrow morning at 7+5 weeks so I'm hoping to get a scan date around 10 or 11 weeks ... wait, that's christmas... ok, maybe 12 weeks then.
After feeling like death yesterday I feel a lot better today, just bloated, slightly nauseous and a couple of bites fill me up.
bigmuther I hope your ms clears up soon!

Missus84 · 10/12/2009 18:10

vix I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, at 6+5.

bouncingblueberries · 10/12/2009 19:38

Kaylo thinking of you - let us know how it all went

knackered tonight but forced to take laptop home to work late. could seriously do without having to work tonight, but really didn't want to make anyone suspicions by not doing it! Roll on tomorrow night. Taking ds to pizza express for tea as a special treat to make up for neglecting him over the past couple of weeks!

cheery wave to all the new ladies and beans - finding it hard to keep track of everyone now!

BunnyBaby · 10/12/2009 21:33

Hello..
...anyone there?...

(bunny baby's greeting echo's round sleeping mum's to be)

It shows how knackered we all are as it gets so quiet in the evenings.

I've got my doctors appointment tomorrow which will be good!

My moving date me thinks will be 22nd Dec, thankfully not 21st as that is DS1's 2nd birthday.

Trying not to get stressed, too tired and can't be arsed..

Night, night, sweet dreams

(tiptoes away...)

Alicehasamincepieintheoven · 10/12/2009 22:03

Hello and good night Bunny

KayloHalo · 10/12/2009 22:46

Good Evening lovely ladies

Well the scan happened (though was at the hospital for hours...) and I'm thrilled to say I saw a happy healthy bean shaped something with nice fast heartbeat Gin

Soooooooo happy - beyond words!!!!

Welcome to new ladies - liahgen so so so please you got much wanted and deserved BFP!! August is a great month to have a baby.

Speaking of which, I appear to be a whole day further along than I thought so am 6+5 today which means my due date has changed to 31st July. But you're not getting rid of me I'm afraid. I'm here for the next 7 or so months (and then to post natal

Sorry I made you wait so long for the scan result - I had to go to work after.
xxxxxxxx

FloweryBoots · 10/12/2009 23:09

Congratualtions Kaylo, really pleased for you.

Vix206 I'm going to try to get a doc appointment tomorrow since I've got the day off work. It seems to vary from place to place when you are expeted to go, and if you go to a doc or midwife (knowledge all borrwed from other threads as I had the same question!). I rang my dr surgery and just told them I'd done a HPT and how many weeks I was (5) and asked who I should see and when and was told to see a GP and offered an 'emergency' appointment for that afternoon! Tried explaining it really wasn't an emergency but apparently the first pre bookable appointment wasn't until 31 Dec, when I'll be away any way, and the receptionist said 'and you don't want to wait that long do you'. My dr's has the most stupid appointment system!

tiany · 10/12/2009 23:36

just wanted to say hi!

i am due aug 13th according to my doctor who spoke to me for about 30 seconds. i did a pregnancy test at home but he didnt even check anything? is this normal?

Anyway he refered me to the local hospital and am waiting for appointment to come in the post.

Its still all a bit surreal.. very excited

vinocollapso · 11/12/2009 05:40

Best news ever, Kaylo - so pleased for you darling! Hopefully by this time next week I'll be able to say the same!

Welcome tiany. Bunny - we're moving on 19/12, and so awaits a week of packing and feeling knackered. Good luck with your move, remember - no lifting!

It's almost the weekend everyone. Hope you all have restful ones.

xx

ElusiveMoose · 11/12/2009 08:21

Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and say hello to newbies and SO SO pleased about your scan, Kaylo. I'm a bit now - I so want an early scan! But can't justify the cost... But I know I'm going to cave and tell family over Christmas, and feel really weird about doing that when I haven't had a scan... Oh well.

Re the doctor's appointment, I've always gone as soon as possible - don't know why, really, just impatient. The midwives here try to book everyone in by 10 weeks. Oh, and totally normal for dr not to do much at your appointment - mine just weighed me and took my blood pressure, then referred me on to the MWs.

Feeling rubbish today. DS woke up at 1.45am and didn't get back to sleep until 5am, apparently just because he didn't feel sleepy. To all the first-timers - get as much sleep as humanly possible while you're pregnant, because you're unlikely to have another lie-in for about ten years...

FloweryBoots · 11/12/2009 09:08

Opps. Spent too long enjoying my lie in, affoarded to me by the day off work, and all the doctors appointments had gone by the time I got my lazy self to the phone! Oh well, got a cancled appointment for next Thursday instead, and now don't need to feel guilty using an emergency appointment.

bigmuther65 · 11/12/2009 09:53

Wow that must of been a amazing feeling Kaylo I do dread having to go for my scan it has always been bad news for me, both my MC,s this year were picked up on my first scans.Feeling a little more optimistic this time as i feel different my symptoms are really strong mind you could do with out the sickness though. Is anyone one else dreading Christmas if you haven,t told your family yet, the only people that know is my mum and DH ,but it is becoming increasingly hard hiding it from my boy,s as at 13&16 yrs they are not stupid.I really want to wait to tell them till i am 12 wks because i now my last 2 MC,S upset them, think they really like the idea of being big brothers my sister has just had a little boy a week ago they love cuddling him.

Crazycatlady · 11/12/2009 10:07

Morning everyone

Kaylo wonderful news about your scan . That must have been such a relief for you.

Re doctors, yes last time mine just said congratulations, asked which hospital I wanted to be referred to and that was it. MWs did everything although I didn't see one until after my 12 week scan.

Am not going to bother with the doc this time, just going to phone up the lovely Valley team midwives who looked after me last time. Sadly my midwife has just moved to NZ, but the other girls were also lovely and it was so nice to have one person look after me the whole way through last time rather than seeing a million different faces.

Tired today (surprise surprise), really didn't sleep at all well last night, think it was something to do with the large curry I had for dinner .

Now where's that marmite?

bouncingblueberries · 11/12/2009 10:35

Morning girls. Getting paranoid again I'm afraid. Stomach churning has now subsided to mild nausea and I've convinced myself that it's all about to go wrong.

Why oh why don't the makers of CB digital tests make one that can be peed on every week for the first 13 weeks???? They'd make a flippin fortune.

Sorry, ignore me. Or give me a slap.

bouncingblueberries · 11/12/2009 10:36

Sorry, Kaylo fantastic news! Absolutely brilliant!
