PavlovtheWitchesCat · 31/10/2009 20:39

feel a bit queazy, and have low down period type ache, base of belly, top of thighs, ans some BH...that would be about right. DD is in her room for the first time tonight.... I am going to eat some pasta and philly and go to bed I think.

katster37 · 31/10/2009 21:33

Erika Ooooo not sure! Anything else to report? I hope so!

Pav sounds v promising as well!! Am v jealous...

Usigurke any other signs? Contractions like the ones you described last night sound like a good sign!

I want some more signs... Am getting totally obsessed now though, need to try and get on with things or will actually go mad I think!

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 31/10/2009 21:35

Koumak · 31/10/2009 21:39

I survived the shopping trip! The trick is to take a trolley from the start and load all the bag and ds in it! Although I had to stop for decaf cappuccino and muffin and later MacDonald?s for lunch! Ds was very good so treated him to 2 dinosaurs from ELC. Got few last bits for the baby and loads of pink blankets from White Co as I took back few sheets I was given at work as leaving present (not the whole present obviously only some things that wouldn?t work for me as they got carried away a little bit) and then used my discount card so actually even earned some money .
Ds was soooo cute when we were queuing in there. He picked up some hair bands etc. and tried to measure it to my tummy saying we have to come back once the baby is out to buy his little sister something pretty. Almost made me cry and the entire queue went ah!
Did pumpkin earlier. Not scary one. Ds wanted one with a sad face.
I got measured for breastfeeding bra but not sure if I got the right one. I am now 36D/DD do you think 36E will be enough for breastfeeding bra? I think they usually recommend one cup up don?t they?
Turtle I am so sorry. I would try to go but see how you feel next week.
Tigger yey on dsd?s speedy recovery!
Congratulations Cupcake and Newherehelp
Sorry Pavlov it didn?t work out with dh?s job
Homeinthesun you could try Bepanthen as it is a little bit greasier?
Comma oh no. don?t really know much about Lyme but sounds scary!
Scarlotti what you said about dh/dp falling in love with our little ones, brought tears into my eyes as I remembered dh holding ds in the hospital the day after birth and saying to me: you realise that you are no longer the love of my life as I love him so much more than I ever loved you! Maybe not a word by word but you get the point!
We bought some new cookie cutters today so intending to try Kyte?s cookies tomorrow! My other only task for tomorrow is to go to the mass as have been very relaxed about that bit in recent weeks!
My feet have been very very swollen recently. Have problems bending my toes or moving my ankles. But if my blood pressure is quite low it shouldn?t be of concern right?

Koumak · 31/10/2009 21:40

pavlov exciting! are we just about to have a life labour thread?

cupcakefairy · 31/10/2009 21:40

Thanks so much everyone, you're all lovely- didn't mean to gatecrash again but wanted to say am soooooo chuffed for you newhere! I remember your ectopic it was horrible. Massive congratulations on new pregnancy so pleased.

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 31/10/2009 21:45

. I really hope not yet! I have too much to do, including tidying our bedroom from the move of DD, enjoying my room back before sharing it again. I need to sleep to get some energy back too! But perhaps Ursi or Erika might provide some evening entertainment, i shall provide the popcorn? , or maybe Scarlotti or Fruit might have some news soon?

We need some babies. I reckon, by monday we will have at least another 2

No more fluid loss here but contractions happening now. Back ache and feel sick. He's pressing very low down. Can't get hold of either MW though and dunno if I should call the labour ward...

scarlotti · 31/10/2009 22:24

Afternoon and evening of BH again with so much pressure bearing down I feel like I'll burst. Few crampy pains but nothing more. Not sure what is happening!! Have felt a bit nauseous all day - sometimes you have to wonder if we'd be better off not knowing what all the symptoms are as then we'd not sit there analysing every twinge!!

Erika call the labour ward if you are getting regular strong contractions around 10 to 15 mins apart. You need about 3 or more though in a 10 minute period to be doing anything dilation wise though, but the ward will advise you too.

Fruit nothing from you ... dare we hope you are baby gazing?!

LissyGlitter · 31/10/2009 22:43

Erika Here's hoping you get your baby soon then!

Ooh, we should start getting loads of babies soon!

Poor DD got terrified tonight by our one trick or treater, it took an hour and a half to calm her down. She is usually quite brave, so god knows what was up with her. She seemed to be worried that the monster might get in the house. I have never seen her so scared, although i must admit it was quite nice how she clung to me, like she thought I could protect her from anything

Ninjacat · 31/10/2009 23:18

Koumak thank you so much

VenusInfers · 31/10/2009 23:33

pavlov so sorry about your DH not getting the job. My DH went through a similar patch last year - it's so gutting when they don't get a job that they should be perfect for. Esp hard when he's interviewed for them before, and they've called him in. Glad to hear that sending him off to the party has helped cheer him up. Here's hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Erika Wow! Good luck. Keep us in the loop! Looking forward to our first actual November baby and yours could be the one!

Sympathy to those still bubbling under. Let's hope the moon works it's magic over the next few days and we have a bumper crop of little wrigglers!

My LO is in no rush to greet the world, though I'm getting BH when I stand up and walk around too, esp in the morning. DH still thinks baby is going to be prompt and turn up tomorrow, but not looking likely. Despite scoffing a large hot curry tonight.

Kyte I join the massed choirs in singing your praise! Those cookies are just evil brilliant! Not sure if I should actually keep the recipe after making this first batch, as until I'm pregnant again there's no way I can justify all the extra calories in each, delicious, one. Yum..

ursigurke · 31/10/2009 23:34

Katster and Pavlov, sorry no entertaining news. Had some light contractions and back pain again a couple of hours ago but it didn't last long. The rest of the day has been really calm (I had even sent my husband to the football game and apparently it was a great match).
But fruit wasn't here for a while, was she? And what about wook? Did the cookies keep you busy? And how about your husband meeting his friends?

Comma2 · 01/11/2009 01:06

Good luck to all you contracting ladies! Well done. I actually am quite glad for a few more days here, need to take care of dd...

Just come back from trick or treating, dd decided halfway through she'd had enough. She was sucking a lolli while snuggling up to my shoulder in her fuzzy little bumble bee costume and watching the other kids. Oh, how can you love them so much...

I am very freaked out about the Lyme disease but try to not let anybody catch on. I can't believe she had a tick I didn't notice. I am so holdign my breath that the antibiotics will take care of it for good and that she doesn't get any of the scary symptoms... God, I am so glad I went to the doc, DH was against it so I almost didn't. Have waited much too long already, should have gone three days ago...

Sorry. There is always something, isn't there..

southernbelle77 · 01/11/2009 03:18

Wow, I wonder if anyone is in labour right now! A few of you sound like it's on the cards! Just to be a kill joy for a moment though - remember there is a queue here ladies! Anyone that is due after me should let me be first in line . If only it was that easy and we could choose! Good luck ladies! I would be nice to have a Nov 1st baby on here

I'm feeling rough (hence being up at this silly time!). Can't sleep for pelvis pain, made worse by an excrutiatingly sore throat and headache! Just took some paracetamol to at least help my glands less swollen, although at the moment it's not working . Really need to go back to bed and try again soon. Had a REALLY stong contraction earlier. I was having a few here and there and then it just hit me! WOW! It really hurt! Was hoping for more but of course nothing materialised! Have started taking raspberry leaf capsules (tried the tea but it made a reapperance after 5 sips! So sticking to capsules now!) and copious amounts of pineapple!

DH took DD to the farm for a halloween themed day today. She was scared of a couple of things, but is a brave little soul really. Think everything thinks she only about 3, maybe 4 as she is so little (she's 5.5) and that she is just really brave . They had a great time. She is now at her best friends house for her first ever sleep over (apart from grandparents which is different!). Hope she sleeps ok. She does have a tendency to wake up saying she has had scary dreams but hope not tonight. She was soooooooo excited about going and I'm sure is having a great time!

turtle23 · 01/11/2009 07:57

MN appears to be broken for pretty much everyone except me. Hope none of you are in labour and bursting to share!

Trikken · 01/11/2009 10:07

yay! tis working again. nobody popped last night?

PavlovtheWitchesCat · 01/11/2009 10:11

I am here. Finally

Southernbelle - your DD sounds lovely, hope the sleep over went well.

comma so does your dd! i love that cuddly feeling, but dd does not fall asleep so often in my arms, and she is such a wiggler anyway i cant carry her much right now .

First night in her own room - she slept from 8:15pm to 6am. Wonderful. She has a cold so was a bit fitful as she keeps coughing, but went to check on her a fwe times and she looked so peaceful. She crawled in with us at 6am, saying she could not sleep, was it morning yet, and that she slept very well, how did we sleep?

I watched x-factor, casualty on sky+ then did half hour of legal stuff, then I slept from midnight until 6am . I woke a couple of times, but only briefly to get comfy, and the DH let me lie in til 8:30am. For the first time in a LONG time, i feel like I had a good nights sleep (and probably for a while now eh? ). It is amazing what not having a snoring, sleeptalking girl in bed next to you does, along with a seriously less cluttered bedroom - did not realise this room was so big now all her furniture is out!

wook · 01/11/2009 10:26

No signs here Ursigurke - ds was a little bit early so this is a whole new world for me. Even if I do the 'mr whippy doing a poo' dance nothing seems to happen, except ds falls about laughing, which is nice!

Off into city with mum in the pouring rain to buy a single duvet for ds- how silly to buy him a whole new bed and forget the actual bedding Then taking ds to Fantastic Mr Fox.

So pleased my mum is here but so worried she'll have to go home before this girl turns up! She's got until Saturday!! When does yours go Scarlotti?

katster37 · 01/11/2009 10:30

Morning everyone - it is November!!! Yay!!
Fruitpastel are you ok? Not heard from you in a while, I have my fingers crossed...
Usi and Erika?? Eeeek! Erika did you ring the labour ward in the end?
If I have another baby, I MUST time it so I am due at the beginning of the month, I can't cope with all the excitement, knowing I am still nearly 3 weeks off!
Hope no-one was bothered by any trick-or-treaters last night. Lissy has DD recovered?

Trikken · 01/11/2009 10:30

I kind of want to see fantastic mr fox, but am worried that they have changed it too much from the book for my likeing, even with Mr. Clooney's voice as mr Fox.
