TC - I'm so chuffed that you've managed to get in somewhere sooner for your tests. I'll be keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you tomorrow. Let's hope you get the results you deserve - I'm sure you will.

We must all nearly be past out panic points by now. Perhaps we should find out when the last one is for all of us so we can celebrate when we past it.

Mine is the heart scan on the 6th (i know I said the 8th previously but after checking my diary I relised it's the 6th) Anyway, if we get the all clear on that day thats my last real worry point crossed. Has anyone got one later - scan's or appt's booked?????

Come on - let's focus on a day we can all celebrate together in pregnancy bliss!!!

ninah · 20/06/2005 13:51

mine was the scan sh, but I'm hanging on for you, thomcat, mouseman and anyone else who feels they are not out of the woods yet. So, anyone after 6th - when do you get results mouseman?

Sex - blimely, the last time for us was conception! DH is too frightened to come near me now - as I pointed out, a bit late for worrying about the consequences!

Waist is now 39.5 inches and fundal heaight is 27 cms...............and I'm only 16 weeks pregnant. Hoping the balloning will plateau soon, please.

Midwife told me that she delivered a woman who gave birth to two 9lb twins........, please God, not me.

In a couple more weeks DH won't be able to get near enough to any orifices anyway - sorry TMI.

sweetheart · 20/06/2005 15:14

do you measure your own fundal height go?? If so, how?????

ninah · 20/06/2005 15:33

goldenoldie you are not alone

OP posts:
ninah · 20/06/2005 15:34

whatever is fundal height?! how on earth did I manage to have ds in such extreme ignorance!

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 20/06/2005 15:38

hi all
fundal height is the sac that baby is in where it is in ur tum, despite shot tummy muscles we should all be in between pelvis and belly button area depending on how far gone u r. Then when u measure in cms it should match roughly to how many weeks u r.
Best way to find fundus is after sex as it goes harder[tmi]

good luck and happy fundal hunting...lol

sweetheart · 20/06/2005 15:39

don't worry ninah - I'm the same. Everythings changed so much since I had dd!!! I feel like a dinosar

Nemo1977 · 20/06/2005 15:40

OP posts:
sweetheart · 20/06/2005 15:41

PMSL ninah!!!!

Nemo1977 · 20/06/2005 15:46

lol ninah...i just know its easiest way to find it
but u should be able to feel difference in ur tum where it stops.

sweetheart · 20/06/2005 15:56

It's typical isn't it!!!

expatinscotland · 20/06/2005 15:59

Anyone feeling their babies move yet? I couldn't feel DD till I was about 5 months along - wondering if it might be sooner this time round.

sweetheart · 20/06/2005 16:02

I have been concentrating on this very hard for the last week expat - have felt a few flutters but have put them down to wind so far!!!!

When we lost our last baby (at 16.5 weeks) the midwife was surprised when I said I hadn't felt any movements so I'm feeling a bit worried that I'm 16 +1 today and still nothing.

Although having said that I think I may have just felt something whilst typing.

I'll keep you posted!!!

ninah · 20/06/2005 16:09

sh you were very unlucky to lose your last baby so far along. For me it was 12 weeks and more would have been unbearable. I will be thinking of you on 30th June. My due date coincided with a 'baby shower', 'twas ghastly, had a massive cry afterwards, but this did seem to mark the end of the grieving process.
I am convinced we are going to be lucky this time.

sweetheart · 20/06/2005 16:15

Thanks ninah.

Luckily I'm not at work next week - don't think I could have beared that. I'm going to visit the crematorium where our little boys ashes were scattered and spend some time over there. I know it will be a horrible day - I'm just going to try and make the best of it.

ninah · 20/06/2005 16:20

very sad for you. xx

OP posts:
sweetheart · 20/06/2005 16:21
