mouseman · 16/06/2005 13:48

Hi,Ninah thanks for you message on the older mum thread. I did post on here at the very beginning and since then have just lurked occasionally. I am now 15 weeks and have had the 12 week scan and the nuchal which was not as encouraging as I had hoped but we are now waiting for the blood results to be combined with it and see if it adjusts the risks - just didn't really want to talk too much about it until I knew where we stood IYKWIM - no point in winding myself up over situations when I am not aware of all the facts yet...
Good to see that so many of you are progressing nicely - good luck to all.

ninah · 16/06/2005 13:58

Oh good luck mouseman, sorry to hear you are going through this awful waiting time, don't stay away from this thread you are not alone.
I've just had the scan, they don't do nuchal here so spared the anxiety of that but equally the blood could throw up something, you just don't know, hate all this testing. Wish you well.
PS don't call refer to the 'older mums thread'! goodness! lol the December mums will think we are dinosaurs!

mouseman · 16/06/2005 14:01

sorry Ninah - no ageist offence intended!

Thomcat · 16/06/2005 14:06

Bless you ninah, you are such a sweetie

Mouseman, I'm in the same situation as you rigth now, but with a little girl of 3.5 who already has DS as well. When are your blood test results due back?

mouseman · 16/06/2005 17:28

Sorry - ballet class got in the way. I am seeing the GP next week and I have to phone before hand to check they are in. I saw your other thread Thomcat - I am sorry that you are going through this - it really is just what we don't need. Good luck with your results - when are you due to find out?

Thomcat · 16/06/2005 17:45

I've got the 2nd set of tests to go and then I can ring the hospital if i don't hear from them on around the 15 July. if it's good news they write to me, if it's not - the phone is going to ring, eeekkkkk!
Good luck hon' hope we both get good results.
I loathe testing, wish I'd never done it but...

mychelle · 17/06/2005 10:38

I followed the thread to find you are all here. I didnt get to have my scan when it was booked other half had to go to Munich due to work. He really would be cut up if he missed it so now the earliest they can see me is 4th of July.

Has anyone else started to play around with names they like? I like mainly girls names and have got a boys name sorted for now! BUT parents can be a pain in the A*SE with their narrow minded points of view!!! AHHHH

Looked at some prams the other days they remind me of the 80's boys toy Transformers! Also my boyf said to a little boy we were with "stop keeping on, you sound like a broken record" the boy (4yrs old) reply was "whats a record?" Boyf feels that our kid will be the same! Reality bites as he put it!
