Minnie, I'll appologise now - I know you've lost a babba in the past but can't remember what the circumstances were?!?!?!?

You tell people when you are good and ready - and no sooner
We have told family and close friends and my work but have left everyone else guessing and will do until we've had the all clear from Guys hospital next month.

We've still to tell the most important person - my dd (she'll be so chuffed, I can't wait to tell her!!!)

ninah · 15/06/2005 11:40

aaaah Minnie! CONGRAT's
me at 3.40 ...

sweetheart,
Not at all, I lost this time last year. Went for a scan as i was having funny pain and baba had gone, i would have been 9 wks. but look at me now up the duff and 12 wks up the duff at that. with all the MC emotions i just was convinced it would happen again. But feeling much better about the whole thing now.

ninah,
Best of luck and will be thinking of you..

sweetheart · 15/06/2005 12:28

I'm glad your feeling so positive Minnie, we should start a club - Hopefully I hope can join you on 8th July

I've actually started feeling excited over the last few days and, as a result, have been on the internet picking out buggies and nursery furniture!!! I must control myself - just for a couple more weeks!!!!

I keep waking up thinking I have dreampt being pregnant - it's a great surprise when my bump rolls out of bed before me

MINNIE1 · 15/06/2005 12:38

sweetheart,
lol bumps ahead....

Will you have a scan on the 8th July?

Thomcat · 15/06/2005 12:41

hi Minnie, thanks for asking.
Ermmm, it was....it was . It could have worse, but it could have been better.
I thought I'd vent it out on special needs not here, it's too happy and nice here.
i'll know more around July 15.
Till then, well until then i look forward to reading all about you lovley ladies.

TC x

sweetheart · 15/06/2005 12:44

oh Thomcat that doesn't sound too good - please feel free to share here - thats what we are here for!!!

Minnie,

I've got my special scan at Guy's hospital on the 8th. Thats when we'll find out if this babba has the heart condition we lost our last one to. If we get the all clear it should be plain sailing all the way to the delivery room

Thomcat · 15/06/2005 12:51

thanks sweetheart but don't want to be the one to change the tone of the thread. Or more to the point worry anyone else. It's all over in special needs re nuchal testing/intergrated testing. it's too early to be sure of anything anyway.

sweetheart · 15/06/2005 12:55

TC, Had a brief look at the thread - sounds like your really going through it at the moment.

I'll send all my positive vibes your way - I'm sure your blood tests will give you a more positive outcome.

We have friends that went through something similar last year. She is in her 40's and a amnio revealed the babba had downs. I'm sorry to say they had a termination - much against the husband's wishes.
Have you decided what result you would be happy with???

Thomcat · 15/06/2005 13:00

Sweetheart - we're trying to do the one step at a time. If results come back on the 15th, or thereabouts, and they put us in a low risk group we can stop there and carry on but relaxed and happy. If they come back high - ???????? Don't know. I guess I'll want to bury my head in the sand and just get on with it but fear D won't feel the same. Think he'll push for an amnio, something I've always been so anti. But there will be a lot of talking to do before we go down that road. Just hope it's a conversation we don't need to have. Unfortunatley though our percentage of risk is increased because of Lottie.

sweetheart · 15/06/2005 13:03

I'm glad your not stressing about it too much until absolutly neccesary!!!

Hopefully, as you say, your blood tests will give you the results you need.

ninah · 15/06/2005 13:12

Thomcat take care

I'm sorry you are going through a tough time TC. Why is this pregnancy thing so hard? I really hope that you get some good news on the 15th and can relax for the rest of your pregnancy.

Expat, hope you are getting on OK at your scan and hope yours goes well Ninah.

How is everyone else feeling? I seem to have perked up a bit this week. I don't know if its because the big 12 weeks is tomorrow or just that I'm feeling less knackered. Anyone else feeling brighter?

dramaqueen72 · 15/06/2005 13:53

george32 · 15/06/2005 14:01

DQ, it is lovely isn't it that we are all still here.
I had some terrible fears when I followed you & Nemo over here, and was terrified we wouldn't all make it. I'm so pleased that we are all at 12 weeks now.

Twiga · 15/06/2005 14:01

Hey Minnie, just nipping across to say congrats on your scan, have been waiting for your news - can't believe you're 12 weks already . So glad all is well with your wee one and that you got to see plenty of movement etc, it's just so reassuring. Enjoy telling family and friends your great news!

ChaCha · 15/06/2005 14:04

Just floating across from November board to say a big 'Helllllooooo' to Thomcat!!!!
So 'Hellllooooo Thomcat'

dramaqueen72 · 15/06/2005 14:05

george, i know, i cant believe i got to be here at all, sometimes i feel like the luckiest person alive (tho m/s usually brings me up quick on that!!) i WISH i could of dragged bella, rom and wendy over with us, and the other ttc after m/c cautious girls. my heart aches for leaving them I hope we keep in touch thro out this and beyond, dont you feel like sometimes we've climbed a mountain of emotions and awful times?
and am i sounding like a mad emotional pg lady!??

Thomcat · 15/06/2005 14:06

Thank you so much girls, I really apprecaite that.
Well no need for me to go into it now, i'll just wait till the 15th aye and i know you'll all be here to share in the news, which is going to be good, right?!! Yes, of course it is.

dramaqueen72 · 15/06/2005 14:07

of course it is tc. hang in there.

george32 · 15/06/2005 14:11

TC, yes, definitely, positive vibes all the way for you. The 15th is going to be a good good day.

DQ, absolutely agree, (with what you say rather than that you sound like a mad, emotional pg lady ) I wish they were here or at least on one of the ante-natal threads. It doesn't seem fair that they are still going through the mill.
Can't wait for them to get across here.

dramaqueen72 · 15/06/2005 14:44

have you read the thread funny things that happened while giving birth? omg, i have just been crying with laughter eps at the dh witha wasp in his shoe.......if anyone needs cheering that is the thread!

expatinscotland · 15/06/2005 14:52

Scan went well! Baby measuring at 13 weeks, 1 day. All fingers and toes present, little heart beating away (165bpm!), head all formed. It wasn't sommersaulting, but it sure was moving around a lot!
