Bonkerz · 21/06/2005 18:35

dramaqueen72 · 21/06/2005 21:17

OW! have just been sat in plastic uncomfy chair for two hours at dd1's 'welcome to our school' evening, omg it hurts to sit like that when pg for so long!
also one of my new tops is obviously not as lovely as i had thought dh's first words were' bloody hell you look huge in that' oh gee thanks...........
any pg ladies still up??

Nemo1977 · 21/06/2005 21:19

im here half watching bad girls half reading thru mn while trying to sell our old crap..lol

Nemo1977 · 21/06/2005 21:19

oops meant lovely products..lol

expatinscotland · 21/06/2005 21:23

Yes I'm up! So is baby. I definitely feel a few movements. 14 weeks now.

dramaqueen72 · 21/06/2005 21:25

oooh expat, how exciting! cant wait myself. thought i felt a something the other day but not sure and nothing since..(another reason I'm glad of my doppler, as i would of worried before over maybe movement then nothing)
so nemo whatcha selling?

Nemo1977 · 21/06/2005 21:36

expat i keep thinking i feel moves but not 100% sure

dq dvds n books...but nobody wants to buy any only because dh has been clearing loft to put his study up there so that ds can move into big bedroom so baby can have the smaller room which is already set up as a nursery..

dramaqueen72 · 21/06/2005 21:42

ugh tell me about moving round for baby.I have to 'give up' my art room (small box room currently full of all my arty stuff and with a big desk in), shift half my actual bedroom about to fit in crib next to bed, and work out where the hell we are going to put all the stuff we are removing! I've decided to start worrying in september...............

Nemo1977 · 21/06/2005 21:46

DQ we would wait but the room ds is going into is going to need to be plastered etc so long process...and getting all dhs computer/book/cd and general crap into loft is annoying

sweetheart · 22/06/2005 08:22

Morning everyone,

TC, I'm sorry you don't feel like you got answers yesterday but I'm pleased to hear they are treating you well and have put you in touch with someone today. Let us know how it goes - will have my fingers crossed for you today.

I wasn't overly worrying about the lack of movement in my belly but you ladies seem to be feeling something and you are a bit behind me. I'm so worried about my mw appt today - I'm terrified she woun't be able to find the heartbeat - I can't put my hand on my heart and say I have definatly felt anything yet!!!

Today is going to drag so much - why did I go for a 3.30 appointment!!!!

Nemo1977 · 22/06/2005 08:30

Sh hun i am 15wks on fri and cant say i have felt anything either..just sometimes think it might be but then it could just be me imagining it..lol

hope ur appointment goes well and yours TC.

I am patiently sitting here awaiting my doppler [or im tearing my hair out] but our postie turns up anytime between 8-3pm..sigh

ninah · 22/06/2005 08:31

Hello sh, good luck today! don't worry I can't feel anything in there apart from my digestive system yet! the morning WILL go fast - come on here and chat
Thomcat so sorry yesterday was not more conclusive, hope you have better news today. Was hoping your wait would be over, but it does sound as if you're with the top man and receiving the best attention. everthing crossed for you.

OP posts:
sweetheart · 22/06/2005 08:39

Me.....

Come on here and chat - never

I'm going to try and keep myself busy this morning so that the time doesn't drag - but I'm still absolutly terrified. I'm hoping she finds it straight away so I don't have any panic!!!

You'll probably have to spend the day peeling me off the ceiling - I'm going to say sorry in advance coz I know I will maon today!!!!

ninah · 22/06/2005 08:46

Well I'm expecting it to be a bad day, had a lousy evening last night ds's bed collapsed, dp p'd off to the pub for a 'couple of hours' and ds then went through his chest of drawers and found a large tub of Vaseline which he spread up the walls, over the floor, over his sheets and over himself. I was alerted to this by a little voice calling 'Mummy, I'm sticky'. Dp then turned up just before closing time reeking of beer we had a row and he went back out for last orders came back and slept in the spare room. So I am upset and fuming this morning!

OP posts:
sweetheart · 22/06/2005 08:49

Just shed my first (but probably not last) tears of the day.

Then good old ninah posts and cheers me up . Sorry I know it's not funny that you had a fight with your dh - but I did find your sons Vaseline story funny - it reminds me of a similar story wuth my dd and a pot of Brilcream - I was so at the time but it's funny now when I look back.

ninah · 22/06/2005 08:54

Yes, did make me laugh (silently) when he looked up at me, all shiny and greasy, and said 'Funny?''No!' 'Sad!'
Maybe I should post for tips on getting Vaseline off emulsioned walls, or will they all think I'm a perv

OP posts:
sweetheart · 22/06/2005 09:00

ha ha ha!!!

pmsl!!

yeah - ninahs a big old perv !!!!! ha ha ha!!!!!

My dd did it the day we got back from holiday a couple of years ago. The boiler had been off for 2 weeks and we had no hot water - Our neighbours were on holiday - I had to sneek over to their house and bath her there. Total nightmare at the time - but I did stop to take photo's and a bit of video!!!

ninah · 22/06/2005 09:13

Yes I'd sort of liked a photo, never thought of that at the time! would've liked dp to see it anyway. Ds SO pleased with himself!
I have docs at 10.45 so if I go quiet mid morning, that's why
Can't believe it's only Wednesday ...

OP posts:
sweetheart · 22/06/2005 09:25

They always are aren't they - little buggers!!!

How come your going to the Dr's - nothing serious I hope!!!

I don't think it's fair that we have to work 5 days to get 2 off. The weekends go so quickly!!! Hopefully we will only have to work a half day on Friday though and I have college tomorrow so the rest of the week should be fairly easy for me!!!

ninah · 22/06/2005 09:29

It's ? booking in? not sure really involves blood test and prob some poking and prodding, hope his hands are not too cold. Bump related not sick related.
What are you doing at college? must break the week up ..

OP posts:
sweetheart · 22/06/2005 09:38

Booking in - this late??? Have you seen your mw yet???

I had my booking in appt at 8 weeks?? Where abouts in the country are you? I know things are done very diffrently in the North.

I am doing something called AAT at college - it stands for Association of Accounting Technicians!!! - They need a [yawn] smilie!!!

I sat my final exams last week - just got to re-sit one I failed and hopefully I'll be finished after 3 long years!!!! Only trouble is - the exam is the 1st week of December!!!

ninah · 22/06/2005 09:55

Well I saw a mw at the hosp when I had my scan but I have not seen doc yet. I don't think this is typical here tho. We are in Essex btw. You make 'the North' sound like a foreign country .. 'they do things differently there'
Tell you what, you may say yawn but accounting is a great profession my dp is never short of work tho it seems it is driving him to drink atm! It's a long hard road to qualify,I know. Actually dp never even took exams, he just worked for a big firm and then went freelance. Good for you, I do wish I had made a bit more of my professional life (then again it wouldn't leave a lot of time for this!)

OP posts:
sweetheart · 22/06/2005 10:07

lol - didn't mean to affend any Northerners!!! I just meant that the care seems to differ alot between regions!!!

I don't see my gp here - I am mostly under mw care but also have consultant appt's at the hospital because of my m/c.

I'm not a qualified accountant yet. I have to do a degree to be fully qualified and as I'm doing it as day-release from work it can take between 4 & 5 years!!!!
I decided to stay home with my boyf (now dh) instead of going off to Uni when I was 18. I only fell into accounting by accident. I was going to do Performing Arts - wanted to be famous darling

Wow - How much I've grown up and changed in the last 6 years!!!!!

I'd love to go into teaching now - don't think I'm cut out to be an accountant (it's a bit dull for me ) not that I'm saying your dh is dull ninah Oh dear, I'm not doing very well today am I!!!!!

Unfortunalty I get paid very well for what I do ( spending all day on mn!!!) So I can't afford to leave work and re-train. Maybe one day!!!

ninah · 22/06/2005 10:19

Oh, it's good you have consultants appts too.
Know what you mean about accounting .. I'd find it VERY dull too, more interested than spending than counting iyswim. But it seems to keep dp going, he gets to overhaul pple's businesses and give quite high level advice which I guess is more 'fun' and he has a good range of quite interesting clients
Ever regret yr performing arts? do you keep up an interest in any way? I am a frustrated artist, haven't painted since ds ... for obvious reasons
Get paid appropriately badly to be on here so hoping to be sahm next year ... tho I have applied for a better job which might complicate things
